Really nice! It’s very much not my style of game but it seemed fun and well made. I feel like the section in the third screenshot with a time of 29:29 was pretty confusing to figure out navigationally, but I guess that’s not a problem once you know what you’re doing. Are there multiple paths? The ending felt a little abrupt maybe. Aesthetics were cool and nostalgic. Great job :)

Developer

Thanks.. yeah we have considered making an alternate long way around easy path.. you need to shoot the aliens and then jump while you have boost.. it is the most challenging part of the game. Thank you for the comment. We made what we could and made an ending! We actually started a day late.. so yeah.. we were both very pleased with the result.. We are already working on some updated and were planning on making a few more levels. Thank you for the comment! Im glad you enjoyed the game

Unbelievable you made this in 3 days!!

I love fps games and usually there very few to none at these jams, and yours is super well made.

game is very fun and really give me the vibe of old fps speedrun games. Good fucking job!

Thank you so much for  your comment! They were not short days... it was one VERYYY LONG DAY... and I am still repairing my marriage because of it :D lol.
Totally worth it though. I can't wait to do more.  Also, my artist (Onions) did an awesome job keeping me up to date with new assets. I just got to code like a madman.
I am glad you enjoyed it, and would love to expand on it in the future. There were other ideas we didn't get the time to try :)

This was nothing short of phenomenal, especially for a game made in a few days! If you made this into a polished, full fledged game I'd buy! Good stuff!

Developer

Thank you! with the response we have gotten we are planning on taking it further.. adding a few levels, updating some things. I'm glad you had such an awesome experience! Downloads are set to pay as you like, you are welcome to be our first benefactor. Thank you for the encouragement.

This was really fun, I like the way everything is executed and for some reason I really like the death sfx :D. Thank you for the cool game!

Developer

I really enjoyed playing this! It totally reminded me of the old doom! The controls are very fluid and I love the environmental design. It would be super cool to see this as a real game! Also, who is Ryan, and why are his scores so high haha.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! And yes lol. I don’t know how Ryan has got those scores. But he is a AAA environment artist who designed another game in this jam, The Grand Ascent.

He’s played it a lot and obviously an FPS pro!!

We are super happy you enjoyed it.

Awesome idea and implementation! Always glad to see more 3d FPS games on a jams

Developer

Also enjoyed yours. Yes, more FPS games. They are difficult to do, but fun to play :)

I rage quit. But  it i a good game. I left a good rating :)

Developer(+1)

As you get outside? haha.. yes this is known as "the hard part".. after you get past it, its smooth sailing.. here's how i did it (as a non fps player).. just before you jump, shoot the far enemy.. then on the second platform shoot the other two then jump.. you can do it! Thank you.

Name is Ryan on the leaderboard. Got a 45 second run last night. Me and all my buds were speedrunning the crap out of this optimizing everything we could. Very simple and fun speedrun game.

Developer(+1)

That is amazing! Well done! That is so cool that you and your friends were competing against each other and having so much fun on the game! Thank you for the encouragement.

The times are insane. I have no idea..

Wow! Gameplay, visuals, audio... all around awesome game! The main mechanic is just perfect for speedrunning and even though I suck at shooters and have no chance to get on the speedrun leaderboard I managed to tie the #1 on the score leaderboard!

To me the only thing stopping this from being the perfect submission for this jam is that the connection to the theme isn't the best. Great job!

Developer

Hey, thank you for the compliment! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.. That is an interesting comment about the 2 leader boards, I'm not a speed runner either, its nice that there is still satisfaction for other ways of playing.

Just noticed that I seem to have accidentally deleted half of my last sentence in my previous comment and it didn't really make any sense. Fixed it now... Fyi it was that everything was perfect except for the theme connection.

so so much speed run potential in this one! I quite like the unique art style. I could sit and play this one for hours just to beat the times!

Good stuff!!

Super fun! I couldn’t make it to the scoreboard but it was fun to try!

Developer(+1)

Haha thank you! Me neither! :D (Game Artist..) I'm pushing 4 minutes.. so I'm sure you did better than that! (unlike the other Dev who is on the leader board with 57s.. you can see who chose the theme!) I'm glad you enjoyed playing!

The art of this game reminds me of Doom. The gameplay is very good. Well done!

Developer

Thank you for the compliment! That's a big name to be likened to..

Loved the game, felt great to play. I turned to try and shoot the alien at the last part where you jump to reach your spaceship and fell off twice :( all the other enemies were dead so had to slowly walk back. An instant restart from last checkpoint button would be a great addition. Other than that, really fun game!

Developer

Unfortunate :(

I wonder if you fell on a buggy part of the map at the end. There is a missing collider, but only on mobile. Because usually you should fall into an area that respawns you.

Regardless,  I’m glad you enjoyed it, and a restart button would have been a life saver. Just didn’t think of it. Thank you for taking the time to comment, it it much appreciated. :)

Very unique take on the theme - love the cell shading - had a fun time playing :)

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it

Favorite one I've played so far, the gunplay was super rewarding and responsive and the art style was great. I would have played this for a lot longer if there was a way to instantly restart the level.

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked it.. that would be an easy feature to implement, not something we thought of but it makes sense, especially if you're aiming for place on the leader board.. thanks!

short and sweet. quite original environments and art. gameplay felt fast and responsive, it fits the theme very well and its a unique mechanic

Developer

Thank you 🙏 glad you enjoyed it.
