I really like the idea of game which can be played on the small window (which can be minimalized). The variety of activities is also an advantage of this game. Maybe a fulfilling a love need was a bit problematic for me, but it is cause by my faulty mouse. Probably, it wasn’t mentioned there is needed to double click on need icon to start a related activity. I think it’s a good background game, but music and sound effect should be more ambient and decay of needs should be less (constantly or by the progress). Anyway, this is still a good entry :D

This is a cool throwback to actually having a virtual pet. It was fun watching the different activities and seeing the different moods happen. I didn't understand how to give love at first (I'm awful at reading instructions) so she ended up in a pool of her own tears, which I can relate to pretty well. I think being able to resize the window would be nice, and also not being able to give love while she's doing an activity and not being able to cancel the activity can be a little frustrating, but overall there's not much else to criticize! Really cute and enjoyable game!

This is tamagotchi gold. Super intuitive, yet I appreciate the included tutorial / help pages (and since the game doesn’t require constant attention, I didn’t mind properly reading it instead of skimming it like I usually do). The graphics are incredible; cute, cozy, polished - the lot. The music is very nice too, although it gets a little repetitive after a while, so I ended up muting it and putting on some nice lo-fi :)

I like that there’s a variety of options for the creativity stat, the patting mechanic is a nice touch (pun intended, sorry). To be honest, I thought that calling the character “Her” is a bit of an odd choice, but why not I guess :) although I’d love a rename feature, so players can maybe feel a little more attached to them (and you could show notifications like “[X] is feeling creative”, etc).

I had a lot of fun playing it and I honestly wouldn’t mind having something like that on the whole time while working. My only grudge was with the fact that if I close and reopen the game, it starts from the beginning instead of continuing where I left off. If you’re planning on adding persistence in a post-jam update, maybe a tiny timer wouldn’t go amiss either, so the player can track how long they’ve kept Her alive.

Thank you for the experience - it was lovely, and congratulations on submitting such a polished game!

First of all, congratulations on that great entry for the jam. The desktop app / multi window look and feel is pretty unique. I really like Her 3D room, it looks so cool, did you model it in blender? It is really nicely lit.

I waited for some minutes and did not fulfill Her wishes .... and ... I think i killed Her XD. Revitalization measures did not help. Tried to cuddle Her, nothing helped, i think that's intended, which is ok. :)

Nonetheless a very creative and fun game. I enjoyed playing it every minute and caring for Her, sending Her around, watching Her doing Her stuff. Very cute.

Thank you for playing my game and for the kind words, all the models are made in Unity using cubes, cylinders and spheres. I know that there’s a problem in the “crying phase” that is a mix of timing and “pat” check that sometimes broke the cuddle check.

Cute little game with stunning graphics for a small game-jam.
The avatar is cute with the OwO face. Really simple yet effective. Beside the small sounds, I do miss some sound effects, but over all really nicely done.

I also love the feeling states, Very nice extra that makes the game stand out! (Unique idea!)

The only remark is that all the icons look the same, whether they are clickable or not.
Well done!

The visuals are awesome and the "desktop game" aspect is implemented perfectly.

I really appreciated the sound controls so I could just have it in the corner and the collapsible windows were a really nice touch.

Gameplay wise I thought it was super cute how the Art/Fun need was so varied with all the different activities they can do.
I think the needs were tuned perfectly for the jam but, after the jam, it would be great to have the needs decay slower so you just need to help them out every once in a while.

The music was great and I think complimented the visuals very well. Some of the SFX though actually made me jump though due to their loud volume and aggressiveness which, in my opinion, really broke the cozier vibe.

Once depression hit I was not able to revive them unfortunately, not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

Really awesome entry that perfectly captures the theme. <3

OK so I played a bit more and managed to figure everything out now and managed to keep Her pretty happy ^^

I like the take on Tamagochi theme, and also how cozy it feels to have a tiny screen; and as I said before, it’s cool to have such a game as an overlay over the desktop.

“Feeling cozy” is my favourite state, it’s just so cute. And overall the character and everything is cute.

The style is cohesive, might not be my personal favourite kind of style, but it works extremely well (I would only change/mute the colour of the couch a bit, it is too loud and stands out too much).

Music also I found a bit oppressive for a small cozy game, it’s hard to listen to it for too long.

Loved the little animations during activites (brushes, cookies, etc)! That’s adorable ^v^

Really sweet concept overall, and feels quite finished/polished! Great job :3

As a programmer that compliment about the style is gold for me, the whole game is made just with Unity’s primitives. Really appreciate your feedback. Thank you :D

Unfortunately I can’t seem to figure out how to play the game; I’ve installed it and that went fine, and I really like how it’s a small overlay to have on your desktop, that’s really cool!

However, I couldn’t do anything with Her. I tried clicking on different things around Her room, at herself, waiting, tried to drag Her to a couch/computer/etc - nothing helped. She just roamed around for a while, her stats slowly decreasing; then she covered herself in the blanket (Cozy mood, as I understand) and I was hoping now I could interact with Her, but she wasn’t reacting to me clicking on couch, or anything at all :(

Then the game started beeping, stats decreasing completely, and poor girl fell on the floor crying. I tried to click on her a lot but no reaction. And that was it :(

To make Her doing things you have to click on the “status” icons and she goes to the correspondent activity, for when she is on the floor crying and also when she walking around you can click and drag on her to “cuddle” (it spawns some hearts when it has effect) when she cry you have to do that for like 20 secs.

Thank you for playing btw :D
