Doesn't get much more Tamagotchi than this! Love to have the minigame to earn some money, but I felt it was too many bags and fish skeletons compared to actual fish. The otter is super cute, but the noises were a little loud!

Same comment that I had for others too, I think some of the bars and their name/direction are a bit confusing.

Overall great work Temptic <3

It’s nice to see another pet inside this jam’s entries :D

Good, solid base to a tamagotchi game, I like otter animations and sound effects, also option to name/rename out pet. Also more minigames would be welcome!

Cute game! and the fact that the otter catches 5 fishes getting 5 dollars to then have to spend 5 dollars to eat one fish is a nice metaphor on the hypercapitalistic world of today (/s, but thinking about it, not even too much lol), good job!

I knew someone would complain about the fish collecting money to buy fish system :p

A really cute game with a cute otter. I like the idea that you go fishing with him to earn some money, it's a good yet relaxing change of pace. And the way he sprints across the water makes me smile :D It´s definitely a game that will make otter lovers' hearts beat faster. Well done!

Congrats on your first game jam entry Temptic, this is very solid work all-round. You nailed the scope, the UI is intuitive, the character is super cute and the mini games are fun.

I hope you had fun and are planning to join more game jams in the future! I’d love to see more Temptini games. Perchance.

I love the artwork and the game feels very fluent, everything makes sense. It looked like a gamified Bob Ross painting. Very nice work ! I had one issue with resolution, but that probably was due to my set up. I can honestly see you finishing this up, adding some content and polish and it'll be an amazing casual game !

Such a cute entry. Definitely did not expect the catch fishies minigame. Great work.

Thank you for making it so we can pet the otter.

Also cool to see that there is definitely room to expand this a little by adding maybe one more minigame and some more options to spend the moneys such as a cool aviator hat. mmhm

That’s a really cute idea! I like the overall feel of the game, sound effects, and somehow visually it makes me feel a bit nostalgic. Like something about it is so “retro”. The assets you used are cute but as they are not yours I can’t really rate them. However, I’d say the choice of gray colour for where UI is located - I am not a fan of, would love to see something more colourful :)

Also, the naming of stats doesn’t feel quite right: as Hunger rises with food, it should be renamed sth like Satiety, same with Boredom, it seems the full bar means my otter is not bored at all, and if so, this stat has to be renamed as well. Thirst was also rising when drinking, which is counter intuitive as well. I feel like simple re-naming of the stats would help, otherwise you would need to change the mechanic and make these bars decrease instead.

I liked the mini-game with catching fishies, it was simple and cute. Do I understand correctly that it is endless? As I could stop it only by changing the activity.

Overall, sweet and relaxing game, good entry for a jam ^^

about the UI. It was a time constraint. The idea was that you could choose it in the settings. If my monitor didn’t die mid-jam I would have done this. So I fully agree with that too :D

the naming was something I did to start with, and never went back too. I agree with this as well, I couldn’t think of good names. I now think Hydration would be good for thirst. And excitement instead of boredom.

The Minigame is endless and can be stopped by changing activity. This is on purpose to make it feel like a simple slightly more modern version of an old school Tamagotchi.

I fully agree with the feedback! Thank you very much for providing this helpful advice and for playing!

It is my very first game ever (and thus also very first game jam) So I’m very happy with the result!

That’s quite cool for a first game ever! Congrats! ^v^ Hopefully you enjoyed it and will continue making games :) I fully understand time constraints too, just pointing out what I noticed; Hydration is a great idea, and instead of boredom I can also suggest simply “Fun” (?)
