Pretty nice, its a nice twist to be playing as the enemies instead of the heros, I didnt understand the story that much but still it was a pretty cool rpg game :)
the story isn't important (for the first time in my games : the story is not important XD), it's just to have some jokes and have an explaination for why you control the ennemies.
The art style is really unique and interesting, and the music is pleasant.
I like the RPG style and the hilarity in some lines (damn you can cook a bowl of 1-minute rice in 58 secs!).
Not too intuitive the first time (I didn't understand you command the enemies) but the game is well made!
thank you for the feedback !
Really creative use of the theme and everything is really good about the game, but the combat wasn't that fun for me personally.
thanks for playing !
I know the fights were too slow and the AI need to be improved to improve the pacing.
Really fun game, I really enjoy it. Also, I love the art and the sound of your game
thank you !
Great game and unique graphics! Pretty cool music too! Very creative take on the theme! Combat is a bit slow, but I've seen you saying you'll speed it up in a post-jam version. Keep ip the good work!
Thank you !
A bit slow, but nice take on the theme and fun graphics! :D
Thx for playing !
Really fun game, but it became really tedious in the last fight
Thx for playing, I'll improve the AI and the pace for the post jam version.
I really enjoyed the opening cutscene it was pretty funny.
The combat is a bit slow for my tastes, both in the speed of combat and that the 'player' AI tend to guard a lot, so the large amount of hp takes awhile to go down.
I've tried to make a turn-based combat game myself I know they can be really tricky, so great work for getting it done in 3 days.
Thx ! It was actually the first time I've made a turned based fight system and I confirm, it's not easy.
Sorry, but I can't rate, bc I'm too bad to give it a fair shot :(
Really liked the artstyle, could use some snappier animations and I think the intro was a bit too long or slow, but overall really good and fun to play.
Thx !
I loved the music, the idea was good with great execution and a very nice art style. Great job!
Thanks for playing and rating ! I look forward to play yours !
Love the concept, art was cute. Fighting music slapped.
At times where I didn't have control it felt like I did and I thought it was bugged at first because the start screen was a white void lasting multiple seconds.
I didn't enjoy it very much but that is simply because I don't like turn-based combat. The game has an audience, I'm just not in it. :)
Thx for playing ! I'll play yours tomorrow !
Welcome, but thank YOU in advance for playing Ghastly :)
Nice job with this! I really like the music and the cutscenes are something you don't see often in game jam games, nice touch!
Thx for playing !
I could listen to that music all day long :) The art looks also cool and it is fun to play. However the battle length was a bit long, as well as the cutscenes. But overall a cool game!
Thank you, my composer teammate will be happy to hear that :)
The game itself its good! I think there can be some minor issues like when in the combat system that becomes a bit sloppy and awkward. I can notice that there was a huge effort and love for making this and for me that is what matters the most when making a videogame.
Thanks for sharing your game!
Thanks for the kind words !
I know it has been stated before, but the game is very slow in terms of text speed and battle length. I'm still unable to kill the first guy because my attacks just always miss. Otherwise, the art style is very charming and the music is nice and upbeat. Although I wasn't able to really play, the premise seems promising!
Thx for playing !
Really interesting premise! Got serious Earthbound vibes from this. Like others have said already, the game was pretty slow pace-wise -- I felt you could've halved everyone's health values (and the length of the intro cutscene) and not lost anything. Good audio and fun art style. Nice work!
Thank you for playing !
A lovely style, and fun premise, but I agree with Vykri that is was almost too slow to enjoy. It might be post-jam sleepiness coursing through my veins, but, I almost got bored and quit before the intro text had finished. :P
Thanks for the feedback !
I really wanted to like this game, but man the text is just sooo slow and the RNG can be absolutely unbearable. I played for probably about 30min and about 20 minutes of that was sitting with a dead hexagun waiting for the heroes to attack my other guy. For some reason, they only wanted to attack the dead corpse over and over even after I used my taunt move. I couldn't get to the 3rd fight because it was just taking so long and the cheats to skip to other fights don't seem to work for me. I tried on both the html and windows versions.
The art and concept are nice, but I would really appreciate the option to speed up text and also don't let them attack units that are already dead.
Thank you for the complète feedback !
Yeah, I'm aware that's the two weaknesses of my game, a lot of people pointed them out and I'll fix them.
I finally beat the final boss. This game is a masterpiece.
My only criticism is that the fights are really slow, and it took me about an hour to complete the game. But now I finally know that Jonas face belongs to Jonas.
Wow, you're so dedicated XD thank you
Yeah the slowness is something most people told me to improve si I'll do it for the post jam version :)
