Well, it has a fair share of bugs but really nice game tbh. WELL DONE!

Really ambitious game and I think you nailed the hardest part which was level generation. I'd like to come back to look at it if you ever publish an updated version. Nice submission bud!

Control quite annoying when you update instanly position and camera start to jump straight to that spot, try use the lerp function to smooth the movement ;)

Rate my game as well

I wish I could see more of the surrounding area to appreciate your randomized maps, but I do like that it feels like you're lost in a labyrinth with it being so dark. I find myself hugging the walls in every room to help guide me places.

I didn't really get the increased health situation, it seemed like it would swap between starting with 6 health, to starting with 3 health, to starting with 8 health. I never went over 8.

Great Game and Nice Visuals. Love the old tv effects with limited visuals, great ambience too

Well Done!

This is super cool. My favorite thing is definitely the (randomly selected?) music. The visuals are also very well done and appealing. I couldn't tell I was attacking at first but excellent presentation!!

This is a nice game, I think it lacks motivation for the player to do something. I just farmed death at the beginning to get hp and than explored. There isn't much point to just running around blind wil not a lot of hp.

Well done!

Nice game with good visuals. The only problem i had is the lack of player feedback. Sometimes i didn't understand why i died or i talked to an NPC even though i didn't want to.

Overall, this is a good game for a 72 hour jam.

Great concept and great visuals! I would mirror the feedback that moving to the right offsets the character by half a tile and that was a bit jarring, but otherwise very interesting!

Nice game mate.

It’s a nice game, but there are several issues:

  • When moving to the right, the character is offset by half a tile, which makes navigation confusing. This also seems to happen to the monsters.
  • When enabling fullscreen you have a very large view of the which makes it easy to spot the monsters and items in other rooms, even without entering them.
  • When not enabling fullscreen the UI elements on the right go out of bounds and the dialogue texts from the moustache guy overlap with each other.
  • The amount of hearts doesn’t match the actual amount of HP you have. I only realized my HP was increasing after reading someone’s comment here and seeing the HP text on the right.
  • The interaction with the moustache guy is broken. Neither X or B seem to do anything.
  • The music is nice, but some sound effects would make it even better as it gives the player more feedback that their actions do something.

Also, the screenshot above the game is confusing. I was trying to click the play button until I realized the actual game is below it.

Overall, very nice concept but it needs more polish.

Experienced a lot of bugs with the dialogue and movement visuals, not sure how it ties to the theme, unfortunate that movement and attacking were one and the same action. Could be a little mechanically tighter but for three days it's still something to be proud of.

A bit exciting 😊 with the narrow view around you. Good visuals.
As I read below indeed the camera movement could be more smooth to improve the gameplay.

But nice to play. Keep up this good work!

I think this is an interesting project, but it needs a bit of polishing. The camera movement could be more smooth, the combat is confusing and I also found a bug where I had -1 coins. You could also add some sounds.

The graphics and music are nice.

Overall, congrats that you managed to submit your game!

The screen fx look nice, great job on generating random levels, but the combat is confusing

Good job in generating random levels, I like the visual and music.. good job.

Its a fine game. But I think the vision is more limited than what is necessary, maybe make the layout of the levels more visible, even if you cant see the enemies or other stuff, the horizontal lines are unnesessary too. Also, if the player is going to move from tile to tile, the camera shouldnt lag behind, it should just snap to its new position.

Cool game, with nice mechanics. Could have a bit smoother camera Movement, but I realy enjoy the art and music.

The art looks so nice! Great job! I only wish the player sprite would stay facing the direction I went, and I would've benefitted from a short tutorial. Lovely game! <3

The game looks great. The fact that it has random generation is fantastic. However, once I got stuck because the level didn't generate any doors for me. Also, I thing it would be great if camera movement was more smooth.
