The ratio was messed up, and I had trouble playing it with the aspect ratio :(
Cool mechanic, needs to be explored further. Felt with the checkpoints the stages can be made more interesting. Wonderful sound effects.
Very cool and I like how the player changes shape while being crushed before dying which adds that extras niceness to the effect. Simple yet effective mechanic. That last level had a very tight window which made me lose a few times but I eventually got it. The only thing I would recommend is to allow me to use SPACE to jump rather than open the menu as I did endup pressing space a few times when I was ready to jump only to be met with the pause menu and then in a panic I hit the "return to menu" button rather than resume. :P Maybe put that button at the top? Anyways, nicely done!
Super clever mechanic executed flawlessly!! I love the polish on the character, the menu buttons, the clean + simple graphics. Great job!!
Amazing concept. The idea could've been expanded more but for a 3 day long game jam? Great use of this mechanic.
Really liked the mechanic, and the polish was great for a jam game. My only general complaint - although, a bit hard to define - is that I didn't find it very "viscerally" fun? Was in a sort of uncanny valley between satisfying platformer and slow-paced puzzle for me, if that makes ANY sense. :P
Really appreciated the jump buffering/coyote time!
Great execution of a simple idea. Would love to see what puzzles can be possible with the shape-changing mechanic.
I really loved the idea! I feel like you could really build upon it to create a unique and interesting puzzle game (eg. being squashed horizontally and then vertically could result in your player being smaller cube, or maybe more toggleable checkpoints to make some kind of an interesting puzzle).
Gameplay-wise, the dying and respawning was a little bit tedious. I get that it had be included to fit the theme better, but if you could move forward after being squashed, the gameplay would feel much smoother.
Also you really nailed the minimalistic aesthetics. Overall, great job! :)
Nodt bad :D just after some levels I personally think it is a little tedious
Nice game! It's a much different and creative approach to the theme than the other games!
Really fun concept and the neon visuals also worked really well! The implementation of the theme was also really good! Maybe the crusher-door-things could have timers on them to make them a bit easier to judge when you should jump/move? That might just be personal preference though! Overall, this is a great entry!
