Really fun. I think this would make for a great game outside of this theme - playing through the easy levels again just to progress wasn't so exciting for me (unless maybe there is a way to get through without the upgrade? Seemed like there might be). But I really enjoyed the mechanics and simple strategy, excellent work.

I did make it so that it is technically possible to win the game without any upgrades but you were supposed to not get a good ending if you did...never implemented that and the game was designed to be easier with the upgrades. lol For sure this is something I would like to expand outside of the jam (probably won't be applying much of the theme but using the same mechanics/ideas) Thanks for playing!
Did I get confused a lot? Yes. Is that a me problem? Absolutely, super loved it, just seeing the images and overall pitch had me HYPED. Thanks for the game yo <3
I enjoyed the mechanics, art style, and that it’s turn-based. Nice work!
If possible, I would appreciate your feedback as well :D
I really enjoyed it! However, that was only after I read other people's comments and realised the shield mechanic wasn't random. A tutorial would definitely help.
I liked the implementation of the theme. This game really made the "progress" part feel like progress, as I was able to smash through the early rooms much faster with my new gear. That felt good.
Thanks for playing! Yeah, the idea with both the sword and the shield mechanic is that "Frontal Attacks" will be countered/blocked so you want to tackle those from the side of the back. I was hoping to make it clear through gameplay without having to use a tutorial but it looks like I might have to come up with a better way to convey this information. Thanks again :D
You wouldn't understand how much enjoyment I got out of S L A P P I N G these people to the ground on the first levels ahaha
The only thing that confused me was the "game over" text: it says you can either "Keep all you have and restart this room" or " Start from the beginning"
But the button "restart" doesn't "restart this room", it's the other one. I think using another wording on the buttons like "Keep" and use "Restart from the beginning" would help.
Except that, great visuals, great gameplay, first time I got to see someone implement an RPG with controls like this in a jam, cool!
I can see how that is confusing especially because originally I was going to implement pick-ups but failed to do so and neglected to update the text. I agree that it should be cleared.
Thank you for the feedback and for slapping, I mean playing the game! Hopefully you unlocked the sword to convert those slappings into mutilation lol 😉
Nice polished graphics and overall style. I really like this game :)
Played on Stream. Very unique puzzler. The organic tutorial of how each enemy acted was very interesting. Had some troubles with figuring out how far each could move, even with the hover, and attack. But overall a solid jam experience. Good job :)
Pretty graphics and cool sound design and music. More Puzzle than it seems. Great job !
I didn't get the controls at first, but other that that, great job
