Okay, I went into this game thinking it might be another run around & shoot game, but the fact that you have one bullet only and you have to basically train the enemies for as long as possible without dying or mentally losing patience completely transforms the game itself. GREAT and I mean GREAT game design on that, by basically 'cutting out' that part of run & shoot you add much more to the game. The waiting to train is hard on the patience of the player some way to remove that bit would go a long way! I think there is a bug where I did train for quite a bit but then I held & shot instantly and the ray did not detect all of the 30+ enemies but maybe 15. Great jam entry :D

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the unique twist of having just one shot—it definitely adds a different layer of strategy. I understand the waiting can test your patience, and I'm considering ways to balance that in future updates. As for the bug with the ray not detecting all the enemies, I appreciate you pointing that out—I'll be looking into it to ensure it behaves as expected. Thanks for playing and for your detailed feedback!

The idea if but i dont understant at first how to play i thought the text was just a lore maybe cut a bit of it.  The tree dont have collision, and the ghost spawn is a bit slow. well done

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We'll consider shortening the intro text to make the instructions clearer. We're also aware of the tree collision and ghost spawn speed, and we'll look into improving those in future updates. Glad you enjoyed it overall!

Nice idea. It would be better if enemies were spawned faster. Suggest adding some kind of side missions as well.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for enjoying the game! I will fix the issue once updates are enabled. Currently, the monsters are spawning at a fixed point on the map rather than around the player, which means many monsters are spawning in areas we don’t see because we're too far from that point.

TIP: PLS NEVER use big text on the beginning ofthe game, better show part by part(for each paragraph)

Developer(+1)

I’ve done it before, but I hadn’t considered it as a user experience; I was doing it more due to space limitations. But you’re absolutely right in terms of user experience.

Good and beautiful!

On the beginning, I think you focus so much on the theme that the game turn so small. But now I understand the idea. survive much as possiple and use One shoot to finish the. Great work!

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing and enjoying the game, and yes, the concept is to have patience and skill to gather as many as possible before casting the spell once and try to eliminate as many enemies as possible. and since several have tried it I saw that another factor that measures the game is how powerful your PC is to withstand the lag that generates thousands of monsters on the screen, it's not bad optimization or bug... noooo, it's part of the gameplay... yes it is ... xD!

LETS BUGS THE PCS HAHAHAHA

Really good concept !But i think enemies should spawn more quickly 'cause waiting for them to be a lot is a lil bit frustrating . I always wanna shot at any time lol !

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and taking the time to write the review. Part of the gameplay is about patience lol, but there is something wrong that will be fixed when the updates are enabled, the random spawn of the monsters is fixed at one point on the map and not around the player so there must be a lot of monsters spawning that we never see because we are walking far from that spawn point.

Submitted(+1)

Not a bad concept, but I think there are some things that could be improved. It seems like the enemies only spawn in one place, so it's pretty easy to just circle the spawn and kite them forever. The high score is also limited by the fact that enemies are continuously spawning, so I was forced to finally shoot once the game started lagging real bad. I think it would be more fun if enemies spawned from all around, and maybe despawned if they got too far away, forcing the player to keep the enemies at just the correct distance.

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! We've fixed the enemy spawn issue, and the update will be released once updates are allowed again. Congrats on reaching first place on the leaderboard! I'm really glad you took the time to achieve that. For now, it's a challenge of skill, patience, and whoever has the best PC to handle the monster lag, hehehe.

Looks Good! you showed the world that AI can replace game developers now :`)

Developer (1 edit)

Nooo, never hahaha! But I won't lie, AI can help test concepts quickly, depending on the complexity. However, real professionals know how to convey the desired emotions and sensations in a way that AI can't fully replicate.

I agree with that.

Interesting concept, and not a bad entry for one day's work. If you want to make it more interesting, I'd like to see some collision and obstacle avoidance, as well as ways to be tactical with gathering enemies. Right now I just keep forming Ls forever and they just keep coming without being able to touch me.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I'll definitely take note and work on improving the experience in future updates.

The music was epic.
I just kept circling and gathering enemies.
It was fun.
Great game for making it in one day.

Developer

Thank you very much, I loved your score hehehe.

Its a good entry and good art style! I thought the mc looks very familiar! As someone mentioned, y sort could greatly enhance the experience.. overall good execution!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to play and review the game! I appreciate your kind words.

I was able to kite a pretty huge pack of slimes and blasted them all! 33 in one shot :)

I liked the art assets that you used. I saw in another comment you had only one day to work on it, so I think given that time constraint it turned out pretty good. Nice job working under such a tight deadline.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much, it was done in a hurry but I think it shows where I wanted to go with the idea and when the updates are released I hope to add the details that were not achieved.

It is a very unique game in my opinion. Really enjoyed playing it. Very creative!!

Developer

Thank you for playing and taking the time to give me your feedback.

Good application of the theme! The art is beautiful!

Developer

Thank you!

I really like the concept and execution. I think this is one of the more unique spins on the one-shot idea and it's executed well. I'm also a fan of the infinite terrain,  it's a great idea and implemented perfectly.

Developer

Thanks! :)

I liked the aesthetic of the game, it is very cute. I also thought the particle effects on the attack were quite nice.

I didn't really understand the high-score chasing aspect however - it seems like your score carries over between every run?

I think if you added collisions to objects so the player has to avoid them and position around them, and made it so the game doesn't end instantly after 1 shot, there could be a fun game loop here. I didn't enjoy having to click through the main menu and intro sequence every time I wanted to play again.

Developer (1 edit)

Yes! The game was made in just one day, so I couldn't implement everything I planned. The leaderboard encourages players to survive longer and gather as many enemies as possible for that one perfect shot. It takes both skill and patience.

Definitely getting some "Vivi" vibes from the main character.

I have the bad habit of just jumping into games without reading the controls on description and should have known I only had one shot xD

I really like the art, music, and interface you had here. Great job!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! The character was inspired by Orko, a clumsy but lovable wizard from the He-Man series.

Great game

Developer

Thanks!.

Nice entry! Did you make the world generation infinite? I kept running to see if there was a boundary but it seemed to keep going for a long time, that was cool. The description of the game made me think there was going to be a few more levels and bosses. I think implementing some Y-sorting would make running around the forest feel more realistic. Overall definitely something to be proud of, keep it up!

Developer (1 edit)

Yes! The world is infinite, with props generated and removed based on the player's distance. I had more ideas, but with just one day of development, I couldn't add everything I wanted, like SFX and more animations.
