- There's a lot to like about this game - the style is absolutely spot on, the music fits the mood, and the gameplay is solid. The biggest weakness is the character controller, I think. I often got stuck on objects, which did cause me to die a few times! Also, it felt like there was quite a lot of input lag. I don't think the issue was *actually* input lag, but when I let go of a direction the character continued to move for half a second or so, and then abruptly stopped. It also felt like it took a little bit of time to start moving? Alongside that, the camera had a little bit of constant shake every time the player moves - I think it was just parented to the wrong object, maybe. The gameplay itself was fun, though, and there has been some really nice consideration made to the player experience. The way the enemies show where and when they're going to attack is really good, for example.
How does your game relate to the theme?
WTF: it's a game with a different proposal from shooting games, where you have one bullet at a time, and one bullet kills the enemy, when the enemy dies, in addition to increasing the points multiplier, it drops an instant reload, taking that reload you can shoot again, and maintain the score multiplier, if you miss or miss your shot you will have to wait for the manual reload which takes long enough for the bonus to return to 1x, in other words it is a game that has everything to be frantic If you dominate it, the leaderboard gives that competitiveness that the game needs, being in the top 3 you unlock a special cosmetic item, if you are demoted you lose it.

The presentation was very nice however the gameplay could use some rethinking.
Giving the player a single bullet makes perfect sense for the theme, but it’s not very good for gameplay. If you miss a shot you’re basically just sitting around waiting for more ammo.
The most important part of a top down shooter is the shooting, and if you’re not able to shoot it gets boring pretty quick.
There’s a lot you could do to fix this but I think a cool idea would be to have enemies get stronger/faster/bigger every time you miss a shot. If you hit an enemy in one shot it dies instantly but if you miss, all currently spawned enemies get stronger requiring 2 shots. You can shoot freely but inaccuracy will lead to a more difficult time surviving and scoring points.
That probably has a bunch of flaws that I haven’t thought about but it might be an interesting idea to explore
Very visually appealing, but I had some performance issues and bugs that made it difficult to play. I had to make the window pretty small to get a good framerate. Fairly often I would get a bug where I could not shoot or the bullet would spawn above me and pass above the enemies. Aside from those few things, this does seem like a solid game. Nice work!
What can I say?
The game OOZES of style! From the graphics to the UI to the music... Just epic!
The gameplay keeps you constantly on your toes and frustrates you in the best ways possible!
One thing that is frustrating in a bad way is when you kill an enemy from far away, getting the spawned bullets can be a real hassle
Well done!!
I love the dodge mechanic, very intuitive and fun
Only gameplay flaw for me is that it is a bit annoying to go and grab bullets back if the ennemy is far away
Otherwise very fun game !
very good. i like graphics and the UI and the game itself is fun . i like it
MASTERPIECE OF UI!
That a cool game! One thing tha left is the tutorial to complete him
you are really good at presentation , the game is great too ! But i think enemies shoot too slow ! adding more tension to the game will be great ! GG
Thank you very much for playing, I'm making updates based on feedback
Excited to play your game Flyber, one of the winners from the last game jam😉
Exceptionally well done UI, The music is very tron like & I love tron so 👌 I didn't realize that i can pick up the ammo drop to insta-reload cause the thing blended in with the ground grid, It also got a bit difficult to pick up those cause enemies are slow so they would group down there, I think making it slightly more fast-paced would really do wonders for the game. However, game balance is on point, it doesn't feel too hard or too easy, does keep the player on his toes. Also how do you unlock the different guns? (edit: i notice that everyone is unable to unlock so maybe the functionality was left out) but either ways you even added an achievement system, that's amazing for a game jam! Congrats on the submission & all the best! 👏
Thank you very much for playing, I really didn't have much time to work on the game but I'm continuing to update it, about the weapons there are ways to unlock them but as they are a bit "Broken" I decided to make it a little more difficult, you have to eliminate the starting from 50 enemies to unlock the Shotgun, 150 for the machine gun and 300 for the rifle, I left it like this because once you get the hang of the game it becomes easier especially if you unlock the first weapon
Oh okay, I think I got it, basically unlocking guns mess with the game balance so you made it harder to get them aka skill graph. I think letting the player know about how to unlock even if on the itch description would help alot so the more competitive players can chase the guns unlocking!

Feedback:
This felt like the closest to a full game out of every game I’ve played thus far, very well done!
You describe my gameplay...
It has nothing to do with it but it reminded me of the movie Tron. Very aesthetic, congratulations.
Liked it overall, you should polish the movement and add an indicator for the shooting
I was very frustrated with the movement not being very fluid, I didn't find cool animations to add but I'm thinking about changing the character and the animation style exactly to make it more fluid, the shot indicator does have it but your feedback is interesting for me let me know it clearer you can shoot again
I liked the achievements system, it's a an over kill for the jam. I also liked the different enemy types as well as the idea of different weapons although I don't know how to unlock them, the menus are very polished too.
The bullets spawn at the wrong place, they either spawn around the player or spawn at the right position but the player collider pushes them out of place which I think is the actual reason because they do collide with player, at one point the bullet spawned behind the player character and hit him in the butt pushing him like 1.5 meters away xD
If the bullet was functioning properly the game was going to be very good, but it's a something understandable given the time restrections.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I think I fixed this bug but it always comes back, I was going to set the bullet to spawn where the player was looking but this makes the aim very inaccurate which really frustrated me because I was aiming at the enemy in my tests and not hitting the bullet. , this made me redo the system by making the aim spaw point always look at where I was aiming on the map, this caused the bug that if you shoot with the mouse too close to the character the bullet can shoot to the ground or go out otherwise, but I've already fixed this in a new version that I'll upload after the jam
Glad you fixed it, but if it happens to remerge again you can place the bullet in a separate layer and make this layer not collide with the player, spawn the bullet at the weapons muzzle then rotate it towards the aim point, this way it will go to where you are aiming and won't hit the player in the butt and push him forward, which was very hilarious xD
Half the time when I shoot, the bullet doesn't come out, am I doing something wrong?
Otherwise, your game has that amazing arcade vibe to it.
The details on the leaderboard were really nice.
I would love to comeback and unlock the other guns.
The game has great art direction. Specially for a jam game, and surprisingly a lot of content. It's also impressive how much care was put to make the game not feel repetetive, and i appreciate that. The aim takes a while to adjust to but it's great when you get it. The only issue i had was that the enemy's color blended into the environment a bit, making me strain for some time, and sometimes the enemies would spawn inside walls, which seemed unfair, but other than that, it was great! Keep it up and good luck :)
Thank you very much for your feedback, I will add a visual effect before the enemy spawns to avoid these bugs
Took a bit of practice, but I was finally able to start consistently killing things and keeping my combo running high. One thing I would’ve liked to have seen is the dodge give you invulnerability frames while it was active. There were numerous times I was close to an enemy, dashed out and died mid dash :(
I also noticed that ammo seems to be preserved across attempts. That made it a little bit easier on the subsequent attempts because I could pick up spare ammo from a previous game round.
I noticed I also unlocked three achievements. Would’ve liked to have unlocked the other gun types as well. Not sure if that was possible or planned but not enough time in the jam to finish.
Overall, well put together and fun to combo grind.
Thank you very much for your feedback, the bullets persist if you try again it was intentional, I was finding the game very difficult (Maybe I'm really bad at my own game haha), the dodge not being invulnerable was that initially the character would roll to dodge, I thought to myself, "a bullet wouldn't miss in real life if I did a somersault", but the animation of it all was really ugly so I took it off with the rush of menus, achievements and leaderboards that I I had to finish, I ended up forgetting
Cool art style and concept, but a bit hard. Nice UI animations!
Great execution, I liked that you were alerted as soon as you were in the leaderboard! Nice implementation of Hyplay's system. Really liked the vibe. Good entry.
Interesting take, i like the visuals, i think the movement feels a bit dizzy for me but overall pretty good
