I had a blast playing this. Great use of the metroidvania controller. I loved having to chase down the ball after each shot, and creating little combos bouncing off a few enemies at a time. I feel like there should be a lot more enemies in the map, or a smaller map.
I look forward to multuplayer and it would be cool if you could teleport the ball between each other, or it brings two balls into the game.

- This is probably the best platformer controller I've played with in a jam, and I've played a lot of jam platformers! I'm really impressed with the way it moves, and the theme implementation is my favourite. It's so satisfying to hit things with the ball, and the loop of throwing it and running after it is a lot of fun (made even better by the excellent character controller). I will say, though, unfortunately the levels are too big. It is very difficult to find content to engage with, and when you do, if you miss your shot you're doomed to spend loads of time looking for the ball. I played the post jam version with a much smaller level and it feels MUCH better, it is nice and chaotic and all of the mechanics have a real chance to shine. I can't base my rating on that version, but it's a great start for a project I think you can take much further.
How does your game relate to the theme?
You can do ONE SHOOT, some enemies dies with ONE SHOOT, and to finish all of them, you should take your bullet to do another ONE SHOOT

Very interesting mechanics! I did not expect to have so much fun chasing around a ball in a 2d platformer. I enjoyed the main shooting mechanic although I found the platforming to be pretty frustrating and unforgiving.
One question though: why is the map so huge? I feel like a map half the size, at least vertically, would have worked better. The map is so huge that when I climbed up to kill an enemy I was afraid to shoot because missing would mean having to jump all the way down to chase the ball. I got to wave 3 or 4 and scored 4020 points but I spent a lot of time climbing the map and then chasing the ball as I tried to find enemies and learn the mechanics.
Did have a lot of fun though, great job creating a unique 2d platformer
nice polish the game is fun, the game loop is realy engaging, i just find the game a bid slow ,well done :D
Well polished, it's very detailed and I'm impressed how much you managed to do in such a short amount of time. The art is good, the music and the jump sfx drives me crazy though! I also managed to lose my ball from a high place twice by missing an enemy that jumped over it. This means that I had to look around everywhere in the entire map before I finally found it and could play again.
Well done!
Wow this game felt very professional: controller support, clean menus, and the tutorial was very well done.
Lots of awesome polish too, like the animations on the health bar and player sprite in the top left, the animated bar that shows the next waves spawning, it all looks really really good!
I also loved the sound effects, and hitting enemies felt satisfying.
My feedback is that the pace of the game felt a bit slow. I like the concept of only having 1 bullet that you need to go retrieve, but in practice, it was a bit frustrating to do so. I think it's because the ball slides so much, and the map is so big, so sometimes you have to travel a very long way to retrieve your ball. I think if you upped the spawn rate of enemies, and made the ball have some more friction, it would really help the feel and pace of your game.
Overall, very impressive submission, well done!
I remember seeing your game in the early stages when Dom played it.
It looks soo much better now, I really like the level design,
My only issue is the spawner enemy being pretty annoying to deal with.
Otherwise, the game and concept are really good, I had fun.
The artwork is great, The level design is also really nice, does feel slightly empty at times but maybe that's just me. You've done great work with the polish & focusing on the core mechanic, I do think it would benefit with more chaos but you'll have the work with the game balance closely for that. The popups for scoring in the left bottom is a really nice touch and helps understand scoring! I've seen the HYPLAY issue being mentioned so putting that aside, overall an entertaining experience ^^
Really goog game , but i think aiming with mouse would be better because as a gamer i really struggle aiming and then click Z !
Great art and presentation! I think the map would be more dynamic if it were a bit smaller. I couldn't log in with my Hyplay account; every time I tried, I got a random nickname, and the Hyplay pop-up didn't even appear.
Fun gimmick, I like the theme interpretation. I had difficulty with the controls, and was sad I couldn't sign in with my own hyplay user for the leaderboard. Reaching some of the spawn points was a bit difficult. Good polish on the visuals and sfx.
A very well-made game! The mechanics are unique. The first time I played, I got frustrated when doing wall jumps in the tutorial, but it gets really fun once you get the hang of it
TIPS FOR EVERYONE:
1ST - The damage of the ball is calculated by the speed of the ball, so when more faster it is the ball, more damage he will give. Try aim by different positions to see the damage
2ND-The game have a lot of different enemies, but to reach them you need to increase in the waves. For example on the wave 14 you found about 3 different kind of enemies.
3RD- Focus on destroy the robots after you destroy the spawners. If you do this, you'll be better and 'll be more easy to reach far.
4TH- Start attacking the enemies top and after that go below.
These tips are only to let the game more easier to you. If you are playing by a different way and reaching far, that's very good. Keep doing this that you'll find a different enemies.
Comment below who reach on this crazy one ...
Really well made game, definitely fits the theme. A bit tough but very enjoyable!!
Very good and fun game. How sad it is to have to chase the ball so far away. The music gives a really cool feeling of adrenaline. The fulfillment of the jam theme was perfect
Great mechanics, a bit hard to try and pick the ball back up even after simple tasks, you are more likely to wast your time trying to pick back up the ball when you miss shots
Great game!
Really nice platform tech. Everything felt smooth to me and wall jumping in particular was pretty nice.
The controls at first were not intuitive at first, but your game description page was very helpful for me to figure out what I should be done. Nice work on this write up.
