Now that voting has officially ended, we pushed some fixes, if you'd like to play the working game.

Yeah, we didn't quite come up with a pause feature or a proper start menu in time.  But that's an easy fix for next time. Thank you so much playing!

Thank you!

Nostalgia to the max! I loved this game. The music. The graphics. The animations. Amazing. And the spin on the classic ski game was very nice.  Great job.

Some MINOR complaints: I would have liked a few more sound effects and the controls felt a little sluggish. Something like the sliding mechanic in mario kart would have been really nice. By the way, the music stops after about 6000. Was that intentional? Like "dude...you have been skiing too long! Do some toe touches or something". Hahaha.

I like this a lot. Great job.  Kinda would have liked the snowballs to be a little more forgiving, but still great.

Hey, Where did you get the starry sky texture?

Pretty fun. Cool concept. Really liked the night/day mechanic and the lighting. Was a little lost at places (what does roar do?)

Extremely polished. Like, a mirror-finish polished.

Cool concept. Amazing artwork and sounds. Could use some variety and a goal. Is it possible to win?

I, too, believe in you Alwin.

Incredibly funny. The cutscenes and transitions were brilliant. I loved the newspaper article and the eye-opening scene as you regain consciousness from being smacked with a sandal.  I am not sure the leaderboard works between browser sessions, but it's really cool anyway.

I liked this. It was funny, and there was a lot of work into the opening story. I would have loved to see some animations. Overall, a pretty fun little game.

I like the twist on the saying "a snowball's chance in hell". I really didn't like how the frozen demons could still kill you for so long.

Cool mechanics and a tiny download footprint. Very, very cool. Well done.

I did not understand this game

Very good character design on the enemies, and pretty cool bullet patterns.  I would have preferred to have the ability to use my power a little more often.  Running away from bullets and catching tiny clocks is not that fun compared to shooting or freezing time.

Great music. Great art. Cool animations. Nice concept.

In practice, there were too many foxes, the dash cooldown took FOREVER, and you could never safely dash. The geometry wasn't right. You'd dash through 2 foxes, but because they're always clumped together, you just end up in the middle of them all and lose a billion points because of the exponential punishment system.  I would have preferred it if you could reset their multiplier in the same way that they can reset yours...or neither multiplier was ever reset.

So, while the controls were fun, it didn't take long to realize that this was a losing game.

Really felt like I was in a truck on the ice.  I loved the camera. The penguins were adorable.

I would have preferred a little more zest and feedback, some music, and I might have shortened up the course or added more things to keep it interesting.

A really fun little puzzle game. I would have preferred more visual feedback for the temperature and I didn't quite understand what the A & D to lower/raise temperature meant. I never got it to work.

Pretty good.

When you manage to unfreeze the whole place, the enemies can only spawn from one place (the last place there was ice), so it kinda makes it like shooting fish in a barrel (which is fun, but quickly gets boring).

I really liked this game. The freezing HUD was really, really cool. I actually liked the lack of music (I'm weird). It emphasized the feeling of emptiness and that oh-no feeling you get when your car breaks down (the radio dies).

I am really glad about the level of mining. It was just about perfect.  I didn't realize that you put crystals in one at a time, and thought it automatically deposited them all, so when I first checked the levels and saw 10%, I freaked out a little. Flashbacks from runescape and final fantasy power grinding came to mind.

I enjoyed the art style.  I kept freezing and I don't know why, and I would have liked more direction. I really like the footprints.  The way you introduced the credits was brilliant.

Yeah, the artist (Ken) did a pretty good job on the splash screen. He actually had a couple more, but we landed on this one. Fun guy to work with.

Our lead programmer (Shoncio) did a great job with the sliding game. Pretty fast, too. Really great guy to work with, if you get the chance.

You didn't miss anything. There was a bug when deploying to HTML that we didn't have time to fix. Thanks for playing.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, there is a bug with the html version of the game that doesn't show the red/green lights. Normally, there's a light penguin head that shows up.

Surprisingly satisfying. Great sense of humor.

The crunching sound makes me feeling weird inside.

Responsive controls. Loved the sound design and art. Very good pacing.
I personally found it a little tricky distinguishing the powerups, but still a lot of fun.

I love the music to this game.

The art, music, and mechanics were really cool.
The pixel perfect jumping required to clear even the simplest obstacle was not.

Kinda fun, really pretty, and solid menus and intro. I was impressed with the drawing mechanic. The sprites were well drawn and the background was nice. One thing I noticed is that drawing with a mouse is awkward and uncomfortable, so the main mechanic, while cool, got repetitive.  I want to see zombies blow up and the art work, not my hideous squigglings!  I think it would have been a better experience on a touch screen.

If the mechanic was used more sparingly (like, to select spells, or maybe the spells had 50X more shots), I think it would have added a lot to the game play.

Idk how I feel about this game.  Half my people always die!

Kidding, fun mechanic, took me a while to figure out the forms necessary to win, so maybe a hint into that would have been nice.
Music was SUPER epic.

Great art style.  Touching story.  Nice feel.

I, for one, loved the warp effect.  Retro feel was awesome. Minimalist art style very well done. Controls felt pretty tight for platforming, but not great for the boss fight.  Not sure if that was intentional, but the inability to turn around in the air rendered 90% of the final stage unusable.  It was frustrating to figure that out...but it was a pretty awesome feeling defeating the wizard, so bravo.

try this: Stay grounded as much as possible. You're invincible for a little bit when you dash...use that a lot.  Don't jump unless you ABSOLUTELY have to.  Spam the sword attack.

Thank you for playing!
Yeah, the box was super OP.
The flavor text was one of my favorite aspects of the game, too.  @deaf_fish did the original design and coding for it, and did a great job.

Really appreciate the feedback

Thanks for playing

Really appreciate the feedback. I agree: The foxes definitely were something that could use just a little more polish to feel more exciting and interesting.
The way these guys move feels more like oppossums, but we ran out of time before we could get good play testing.

Really clever tower-defense game, and the game play kept me hooked.

Really tricky to figure out where to put the towers so that the enemies die in the right place.

I lived for 4 minutes.

I totally agree and I'm impressed that you figured out how to used the box.
We wanted the metal gear solid mechanic because it was a fun throw-back.
Originally, you were supposed to pick it up before some complex fox-patrol part of the level, but we ran out of time.

I really appreciate the feedback, and thanks for playing!

Thanks!
I agree and thank you for the feed back.  It ended up being a super busy week, so our play testing phase lasted about 5 minutes.

Thank you for playing!

I think it was deaf_fish who added that feature. I agree, it was really cleverly done.

I'm really glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the feedback

Thank you!
