Cool game! Good game mechanics and boss designs

The art is very polished. I like the gameplay and design but for some reason my browser kept lagging when a lot of explosions happen on screen. I think the issue is on my end though. Great entry!

The art and animations are really good. I agree with other posts here saying that it needs on-hit feedback and a health-bar.

This looks like a good start to a cool idea. I couldn't figure out how to defeat the boss so I just kept jumping around hahaha.
I would include some notes on how to play or next time provide a small tutorial for the player. I see that this is your first jam contribution so congrats! I would keep this game around to look back and see all of the progress you've made in the future. Keep it up :)

Pretty cool game! I like the idea of controlling enemies and fighting through multiple waves. I would maybe provide a tutorial or explanation on how to play because I was confused on what my objective was until I experimented with the controls. The pixel art is awesome and I didn't have any performance issues. Good job!

What a creative idea! I have yet to see voice acting in this jam. I love the hand-drawn elements and game-play mechanics. I think it would have been cool since you cut the final boss fight to have it "half drawn" and then maybe the kids have to go to school so it was to be continued...

Fantastic concept and gameplay. I was first confused thinking that I should deflect the attacks from the hands with my planets. Figured it out though!

Thank you for the linux build! The character models and particle effects are fantastic. Kiting enemies isn't my favorite of gameplay types, but it's done well here. Great entry!

That intro cutscene was a like a full trailer. Nice!
The pixel art is dope and the gameplay tweaks are good

I like how your powerups are clearly shown on screen and all of the different attacks the boss can do. The art and sfx are pretty good. I would change the "select inventory slot" screen to be integrated into the action a bit more. I kept trying to maneuver and the screen kept popping up causing me to context switch. I enjoyed it!

Did you mean to create a game that I would've played on my MS-DOS PC? This game brings me back to older games in that time period - it's great. I dig the compressed background in the hub world and the compressed sound. Again, I'm not sure if this was intentional but its really cool haha. One thing I would change is that I typically don't like waiting for a game to decide when I can attack. Maybe introducing something where I can influence when and where the circular area to dash through spawns would be nice. Overall it's very good.

The boss mechanics are well thought out and the art and sfx are great.
I would make the ship movement a tad faster and the shooting feel more "weighty".
With the timer on the screen I wanted to stay in the action instead of fight, read,
fight, read, but my game has that issue too lol.
Other than that I think the theme was executed well and I had a lot of fun!

I love this game! Great idea and implementation. The art, sfx, and music are all 5/5. The boss bullet designs are something I struggled with in my shmup. I could use some tips! Great job.

Awesome game! I love the art and music. I'm not sure if I played it entirely correct but I kept bouncing on the bosses to defeat them - it reminds me of shovel knight when you can bounce on the bosses to win. Its well polished and fun. Great job!

The artwork in this game is great. I think the gameplay mechanics work well. What I would change is how spongey the enemies are - it takes a lot to kill just one enemy. I unlocked the assault rifle and felt the fire rate should be faster since the enemies take a while to defeat. Overall I think its a great start to a cool game!

Awesome game. I got a bit confused when it spun for the boss because it was right after saying I needed to spin for power-ups. I like how the boss attacks are clearly telegraphed. There is some weirdness with the camera and the animations but for a jam game its well done! Great job.

Cool idea - I would like to spin only the wheel or the player. I really like the art and the music concept.
With the gameplay fix this would be more fun. Good job!

This game idea is great. I would like to see it evolve with more sfx/music.
It's also easier to play when the fruit icon is shaped circular, I had issues identifying
when to press for the banana because of the shape. Good job!

I like the mood and gun mechanic, but struggle to get those green orbs!

Very creative and enjoyable. I think you should have a toggle for screen shake. I did get a bit dizzy when playing. Overall, good music and humor with the characters.
