It's beautifull but I did'nt get how to play

Developer(+2)

Sorry, we were planning on getting an in-game tutorial, but we ran out of time. I added objectives and some keys to use in the game in the page description. To play you need to offer your service, receive an order, prepare that order and then deliver it, complete the main mission which would be to get $500 in profits.

Wow, awesome and funny game! I love this game and this art!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad to hear you liked it!

Great game. I would love to see it expanded

Developer

Thank you for your feedback and enthusiasm! I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the game. I’ll discuss with the team about expanding and adding more content to make the game even more complete. Your support and suggestions are much appreciated!

Thanks again!

Great work on the artwork, I love the main character sprite and animations! It seemed like the "filling aquarium" part where the water came up took a really long time but other than that this was a really smooth and polished game. Nice job!

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the main character sprite and animations. The artwork is indeed something that PiE executed superbly, and it’s great to hear that it resonated well with you.

Regarding the “filling aquarium” part, I appreciate your feedback. I’ll look into optimizing that section to ensure it flows more smoothly in future updates. Your input is invaluable in helping us refine the game.

In beginning it says it is generating terrain and filling the aquarium, but after trying to restart the game, it didn't generate anything different, in web or desktop version, it was the same.

I think the idea to randomly "generate" something is ambitious and maybe it should have been skipped for the jam to load just one same thing each time fast since to do it randomly would be very complicated and hard to make in short time.

Other than this, I think its good and fun on the management.

Developer (1 edit)

I apologize for the screen that says generating Terrain, and filling Aquarium, what this two does is loading the map that you already know and compiling the shaders so that the game itself, in theory, goes better. Btw we’re beginners here, this is our first game. And I’m glad you found the game fun. Maybe I used the wrong words there, I will take that into consideration for the next one, “Loading map” and “compiling shaders”.

If it takes long to load as well it maybe it should use less shaders or even none (but maybe it's hard to look good for yours without shaders, so I don't know....). For the terrain, maybe to use a faster, easier, and much simpler-to-make way to load the map or terrain as well. I have a feeling some way was used that was hard to make, maybe was almost made like it could be for randomly generated parts, and very complicated way like that. If it was, maybe that kind of way was not needed for the first version for the jam - but I may be wrong as well, maybe it's something else going on.

For me I'm a total beginner it's my first jam, first time making a game and first time using itch.io so I may or may not have the right idea here.

Regarding the loading times and shader usage, you’re right that shaders can significantly impact performance, especially if they are complex. For this project, I aimed to achieve a certain visual quality, which relies on shader effects. However, I understand the importance of balancing performance and aesthetics. For future updates, I’ll consider providing an option to toggle shaders on and off to accommodate different hardware capabilities and improve loading times.

As for the terrain and map loading, it actually just loads the pre-designed map we have. The “filling aquarium” part is a shader that creates the visual effect. As a beginner, I didn’t handle it as efficiently as I could have. Currently, there are issues with uploading the corrected files, but I’ve already made the necessary optimizations.

Cute, filling the aquarium could be a bit faster and the game crashed when i tried to do my thrid execution for the guy in the bottom right

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it, also the Acuarium filling is base on the game loading it self, i’ll take in consider your comment a d make a performance update so it loads faster and we will tried to fix that crash, thanks <3

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it

Nice game , Tutorial level would be nice to ease the player on the mechanics of the game  since it was hard to figure out what to do at the start

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! We’re planning to put in-game tutorial for an update after the jam.

I am feeling a tiny echo vibe with a more kinda heroic soundtrack

Developer

Thanks for playing! Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "tiny echo" vibe? Is that the name of a game? Also thanks for the soundtrack mention - I am the composer :)

Really loved this! Took awhile to really figure out what I was doing but once I did, it was quite good. Theming a cooking game as "fish funeral services" is hilarious too. I love the combination of music and art you went with too, especially the swimming up and down animation. Well done!

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it

Great game. a bit confusing to understand the start, but after, super fun

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! It means a lot. :)

Great visuals and presentation. I was a little confused on what to do, I think it could benefit from some in-game tutorial.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We appreciate the feedback.

The art style has so much character !! I love the animations too :) Great job on this one

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the art. I was really impressed by our artist's work, especially in such a short amount of time.

I really enjoyed the concept of this game, very well presented as well ^^ Though I guess his services are more "Execution" than Funeral to be fair 😂

Well done mate!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.

Great game. I also encountered the teleporting bug, but even with that bug, solid entry. Really well executed idea.

Graphics were charming. Game play was smooth (except for that bug).

Great work.

Developer

I appreciate your comment, and I’m glad that the bug wasn’t an impediment for you to enjoy at least a while of our game.

Honestly it took a bit to understand but once I got it I had a lot of fun with it. There was a bug with ordering when I tried getting someone else's order I would teleport to a different fish that I already finish an order. But overall I had a fun time good job :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for your comment! I’ve noticed the bug and have already fixed it. In about 30 minutes, I’ll upload the corrected versions so you can enjoy the game without any issues. My apologies for the inconvenience caused by the error.

We’ve addressed the issue you mentioned, and I’m excited to let you know that the new version with the bug fix is now available.
