Nice game with great retro vibes! Sound effects and visuals were especially nice.

It's a nice base to build more levels and variety on top of. I did run into a bit of a bug where my character image disappeared at the right side of the level, but gameplay was tight and worked well.

Nice job!

Hey SlyPuffin thanks for the feedback. Good catch on the bug. I watched my brother play it over the weekend and he disappeared too. More levels and more variety are definitely in the works, so please follow!

Very cool idea supported by great art, music, effects and gameplay.

This was fun to play. I loved the sprites and animations with the small explosions on the bullets, and the music and sound effects were amazing. The gameplay is fairly simple but in a good way. It's enjoyable but not complex and hard to learn. It didn't really fit the theme, and I agree with others that upward aiming and shooting while moving would be nice, but I understand the limitation of the Jam time restriction as I also had to change and cut a few things from my game.

Overall, a very fun game that could definitely be built into something even greater.

WOW very cool game! I love the idea of the gameplay and the artstyle with those effects and animations! The UI is also cool

Really fun stuff, I feel some great combat system could come out of this if tweaked a bit more! There are many additions and layer it could be built upon. Just out of the head a third upward direction with taller targets could increase the skill required and as been mentioned by Fiki for a shooting while moving mechanic. I really liked the retro art, catchy music and awesome animation and feel.

Grand work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I've been thinking about different options on how I can incorporate shooting up. The animation for that was made early on as well as shooting while running. It became tricky to implement before the deadline so I had to compromise. I'll figure it out eventually. Something for the next update perhaps

very fun game. I love your art.

Loved it, this game is perfect, I got to 2227 points and 108% accuracy. Unsure how that happened, but it definitely elicited a smile. Great fun game, would love to see more! I'll give you a follow. Also, the title screen is absolutely sick! Liked that you used gifs to show gameplay, and how your page was laid out with images. I will for sure be taking a page out of your execution.

Loved this game - had such an old school platform shooter feel to it.  Great job!

A cool game with just incredibly tactile pleasant shooting

This is pretty fun! There's a great amount of polish and that helps me get invested like the excessive game feel and fantastic visuals. In the end, I got 106.67 % accuracy. I'm not sure if going over 100% is a bug or a feature but either way, I feel good about that score.

Developer

Wow that is amazing. Congrats on the score. Must be a bug but I'm still impressed. I wish you had a screenshot of it. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice and simple, and the cover art is great!

Fun little arcade shooter, easy to start off with but difficult to get down, it reminds be of the Kung Fury game in how you go back and forth shooting, good job!

Love the aesthetic for both the title screen and the in-game art.

Shooting is also super satisfying.

Was a bit confused when running out of time at the end but still progressing to the next stage, but overall still loved the look and feel of it all.

Could that be considered a bug? I'll address it in the next update. Thanks for the feedback!

This is actually super cool I feel like you invented a new retro game genre, it was very enjoyable, felt like John Wick for a second there.
Amazing work, really. The only suggestion I have is that it would be more cool to be able to stop and shoot if I shot while moving.

Developer(+1)

Good idea. I've been experimenting with shooting while running but the animation gets weird. I have to go back and rethink how it's implemented. Thanks Fiki!

Submitted(+1)

I really like the style of the game! reminds me a lot of retro games!

Nice arcade feel and graphics! The shooting was very smooth and could be fun to see how it works with some more active enemies

Really well done, it feels like a pretty smart spin on that old run&gun formula. Kinda wish there would be more of it but what's there is absolutely competently made.

It was a bit confusing that both the torso and the head of the targets was shown when spining, I think having none would be clearer on the best time to shoot.

Developer

Hi evigouroux! I was thinking the same thing about removing the targets while spinning. I'll have to do that for the next update. Thanks for the feedback!
