Cool game! I like the inverted shader you used! It probably would have saved me 1-2 hours on my game!
It took me so long to figure out how to use a shader haha, but i'm glad I got it figured out. Thanks!
Very fun game!
I've seen a bit of confusion about the player not getting hit by the bullets, so maybe something to signal to the player that it's the crown you have to protect and the player character is immune?
Great choice on music, it scales well with the growing intensity of the game!
Good game, pretty simple. The music is great! But I think the randomization of obstacles could be improved. There were often situations where there were holes in the ground and shots coming right after, making it very difficult to dodge.
Game was really cool, you got me flashbanged at daytime haha. Besides that its a really solid project keep it up!
Yeah sorry about that! That is a really simple fix that I overlooked, I will soften the colors post jam. Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback!
Simple and fun. Too bad i have the reaction time of a sloth and couldn't get pass 150 score lol
My only complaint here is that the daytime made the screen 90% white and is very harsh on my hermit eyes.
I tried to make the game hard, but I think I made it a little too hard. And I totally agree with the white screen being too bright. Looking at it post submission, I should have covered the screen with a darker shade to make the daytime less harsh. Awesome feedback, thank you.
Managed to get a high score of 231. Definitely a very simple yet fun game. It's really unique having to protect the crown which made this a bit easier not having to completely dodge bullets with the player as well. The music was really great and wasn't too repetitive while playing which was very good. The day night cycle transition was also really pleasant and I enjoyed seeing that happen. Would've liked to maybe see more things the player had to dodge but still a fun game never the less!! Great job :D
Thank you for the response! I had too many ideas for this game, and too little time. I will likely continue to work on the game, and provide new unique obstacles (and hats) in the future.
Simple little game, bit addictive. I like how it's unique by making the player protect the crown instead of themselves. The sound effects are all very fitting.
Thank you! I did not have enough time to make my own effects.. But I made sure to give credit where credit is due in my game. I plan on making everything sound on my own in the future.
very simple and fun game, protecting the crown instead of just the player adds some nice depth. The music is great!
Thanks! The original mechanic was to dodge the bullets with the blob and the crown, but I was running out of time to put some polish on it.. So I changed it to just the crown. I plan on reworking this in the future, thanks for the feedback!
Thanks!
Simple, but very fun game!
Got 310 highscore
Thanks! I better step my game up lol
Fun arcade game! It reminds me of google's no internet dino game haha.
Great job, it runs well!
Haha yeah, thanks! There are a few things I would have changed to make the game even more optimized, but I didn't discover them until the last day of the game jam. I think I did pretty well for using Unity for the first time, glad you liked it!
Cool game!i got a highscore of 190,i had some fun but i would suggest adding some obstacle varity and sometimes holes spawn right before bullets which makes it impossible to avoid, other than that you did a good job, nice transition between day and night, kinda reminds me of another game🤔
With the way the floor holes are generated, that would be really hard to do. However I do plan on reworking the whole mechanic after the jam, and adding additional obstacles with some balance. The bullet idea definitely needs rework as well, thanks for the feedback!
You're welcome!it would be realy helpfull if you give me some feedback on my game too!
very fun entry :D i agree with the criticism of the others that the blob not being affected by bullets is a bit strange but its still nice regardless!
Thanks for the feedback! The original plan was to make the blob and the hat affected by the bullets, with a crouch mechanic so the bullets can go between the hat and the blob. I just ran out of time and canned the idea. After the jam I might rework this and make the player affected as well.
I will have to say that the blob not being affected by the bullets feels a little weird. It's fun, but I think it could use a little more to it.
Yeah I will say there needs to be more content, but that will have to come after the jam. There was alot to learn using Unity for the first time, so I think creating this game alone was a total success!
I didn't realize. Good job on your first Unity game! Good luck in your future endeavors.
Thank you everyone for the feedback! I was able to figure out how to push the fix for my game, so it's playable now.
I unfortunately can't get it to work on my end, but based off the pictures, it looks like a fun little concept. Thank you for checking out our game as well, we really appreciate the feedback and kind words.
Cheers!
Sorry about that! I found out that I am able to do bug fixes throughout the voting part of the jam, so this is not fixed and the game is playable again.
I like the concept a lot, but unfortunately, the jumps don't seem possible in most cases. The blob can't jump high enough to avoid the bullets hitting its hat. If that was fixed, I could totally see this being an awesome high-score game!
Edit: I just read what the bug was. Totally makes sense! If that was fixed, it would be great!
same here, to me its somewhat unplayable
I was able to push a fix, so this game is now in a playable state. Thanks for your feedback!
