its nice and simple game i rlly like the background sounds with the birds, and the disappearance of the UI when i go under it is just clever !

Sadly the background music doesn't loop so after 8 or so minutes it stops but after the game jam is done I want to fix all the bugs and remake the game so it's 100x better, with hours of fun/gameplay, a saving system, more upgrades better Ui, etc. I'm excited

This kept me hooked for a lot longer than I thought it would, and certainly had me more excited about mowing the lawns than I’ve ever been before :). The art is simple but varied, and I love the attention to detail with the lawn mower getting upgraded visuals as you upgrade it. I wish the progression was clearer and a little more balanced (leveling up the mower quickly makes earning money really easy), but overall a solid, fun game.

I planned to add more to the progression but I ran out of time quickly, the balancing was hard, but I will redo a lot when I remake the game after the Jam is finished, I want to add more details and polish, yeah the more you upgrade the easier the game gets, that was not my intentions, but overall i think its good game for a jam in the time frame i had which was like a week.

Quite a relaxing clicker where you don't need to click.
Would be nice to see more of progression, and some sort of accomplishment when you max out everything (which is impossible right now, auto mower goes negative at some point).
Appreciate you're feedback! Yeah I ran out of time to fix the bugs and I wanted to add more and polish what was already there, I wanted to have a max of 5 auto mowers that mow the grass for you, but I was left with that bad version of that.
My whole point was to make a no-clicker-style game that needs the player (YOU) instead of just watching numbers increase. so I think I did pretty well in accomplishing what I wanted!
I am also planning on remaking the game from the ground up, with a better progression system and ending would be nice, some lore / story, and some other things that would improve the game!

cookie clicker
I got the idea from Leaf Blower Simulator which is basically Cookie clicker, so I felt like it was right its fun to make a lot of people enjoyed it :D
A really nice game to play for relaxation purposes. A good addition to the game would be something that hinders progress, maybe enemies you have to avoid or things like running out of fuel. An idea was, what if on occasional there was a patch of grass that would spawn that would chase the lawn mower? Would be a nice twist imo. Well done

At first I found myself wondering how the heck this game fits the aberration theme, and then it hit me: The lawnmower make no noise and grass is turning into money. This isn't a grass cutting simulator I realized! This is a weed farming simulator disguised as a lawnmowing simulator! If that isn't a departure from what was expected, then I don't know what is!
Grass is unwelcome so i kinder thought it fit the theme, but haha love you're feedback glad you enjoyed the game!

Noo, grass growth breaks after you max it. Seems to be a bug!
Thanks for pointing this out, sadly it breaks I ran out of time to fix it, so I left it in, it doesn't break the gameplay. but since i ran out of time for this project i decided it was okay to leave it in, if i were to remake this game i would 100% fix bugs before i submit it.
I liked that its one of those more laid back games that I tend to play when I get tilted from other games or just want positive vibes. Unfortunately the music or background sounds stopped after a few minutes. I also really liked how the UI vanishes when the lawn mower gets close and reappears when it moves away.
After a few upgrades it kind of turned into a horror game where I was trying to save the mouse cursor from being eaten by the monster lawn mower. Thanks for the change of pace. Solid game.

I must have forgotten to make it loop when I added it. my whole point/idea was to make a chill game and more laid back so I'm glad that you enjoyed it, Haha no plan on making it into a horror game but I love how you were trying to save the mouse from getting eaten!

My idea/game is not new, there are people out there who have made a game like mine. I was inspired by the game called Leaf Blower Simulator, which is almost the same game but instead of mowing grass you blow away leafs and upgrade the blowers. I would love to know what other game you're talking about. but thank you for the feedback it means a lot.

Enjoyable game - not sure how it fits the theme though, but I liked playing it none the less :)
I had issues trying to find a game with the theme, but I think it works "a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, typically one that is unwelcome." so I took unwelcome (the grass is unwelcome) no one wants unwelcome grass haha, so not sure if it does fit the theme but I gave it my best try. thanks for the feedback it means a lot!
Oddly Satisfying. i really liked the art of the game it does fit really well with the game. The gameplay is simple and fun which is nice and the sounds that are used sound really good. Great game :)

It was pretty enjoyable. I liked how the machine sprite upgraded and how everything scaled up with time.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, I wanted to add more but yeah sadly ran out of time, I planned to add little mowers for the auto mower like in the leaf blower simulator, but sadly didn't have time.
There was an issue where the music stopped after a while and I had to reload it because I was met with a bright green screen and nothing else on the first attempt. The shop text is also a bit hard to see. The grass regrowth and windy movement are relaxing, along with the simple task of cutting the grass for points. Kind of reminds me of old online flash games.
Yeah unfortunately the Ui for the shop just kept breaking, I wanted it to be the same as the other Ui but no matter what I did it just kept breaking. thank you for the feedback it means a lot, the idea was simple, and I would have loved to finish and iron out the bugs more!
If it helps, I spent entirely too long just calmly and happily mowing grass in this game. I wish it was gamefied in real life like this. More people would mow their lawns. At the very least I would.
I'm most likely going to remake it from the ground up and take my time on it, ironing out bugs UI issues and more gameplay, etc. but ya 100% agree with you!
Lawn Mowing Simulator is surprisingly satisfying! I never expected to enjoy it as much as I did. It's strangely therapeutic and addictive. Highly recommend giving it a try for a relaxing lawn mowing experience. 🌾🚜

The upgrade for grass growth is funny. I imagine a grass mowers covertly fertilising their clients lawns, so that they can earn more money from them.

I love that the text icon disappears when the lawn mower goes to it hahaha. This is a great game, I've been wanting to play it ever since I saw it in the submissions. As Zenobia said, the infinite grass growing upgrade is hilarious. The box sorta collapses after a while and the game lags because of how much grass is spawning, but I'm sure that was 100% intentional and I love the game even more because of it.
Yeah, the grass-growing upgrade is kinder funny xD. I liked it. I was gonna fix it but I wanted to leave it just cause it gave the game a bit more character. thanks for the feedback it means a lot, I didn't have much time to finish everything but I enjoyed what I did!
When you play in html you can keep buying the grass growing upgrade its funny. Good game.
HTML is kinder broken, the UI is messed, the shop and camera system is all messed up in the HTML, it displays more then what it should so there's a patch of grass that doesn't respawn xD
