What do you like about your game?
The fact that it's a rhythm game! I enjoy playing rhythm games like ADOFAI or DDR a lot, so I'm glad I was finally able to make one.

quick and slick two-button rhythm game with great replayability. the random combinations of beats and patterns keep it from getting repetitive, and there’s this one part of my brain that keeps being tricked into thinking just one more try, this time I’ll reach triple digits! it’s always the red ant that gets me — who knew that standing still is the hardest part about dancing? my highest score is 113 (for now).
Haha, a well earned triple digit score! The red ants are definitely the trickiest part, but super fun to implement. Glad you had so much fun!
Addicting!
Glad to hear, it was definitely the kind of gameplay I was going for!
Love your entry! got a high score of 96 :)
Thanks! And nice work on the 96 :D
Not my type of game, but it looks like it's well done!
Thanks for checking it out!
Very nice rhythm game, but very hard! Especially the up arrows that always confuse me. But it's very fun and addictive. My high score is 79 :)
Grats on the 79! I think I could have tuned the difficulty some more but alas the time limit. Glad you had fun with it!
Really cool little rhythm game!
Thanks for checking it out!
rhythm games aren't really my thing, so this one was a challenge
No worries, appreciate you checking it out!
I am not good enough, but I like the game. The game has a unique twist and is overall really fun! Good job!
Thanks for playing! Happy you had fun with it :)
I’m not very good at the rhythm games, but I liked
Thanks for playing it!
This was a fun little rhythm game, I loved the infinite nature of the game and the challenge that some of the patterns provided. The tutorial isn’t particularly clear, but after a couple runs you get the hang of it. Really well thought out, I enjoyed it a lot.
Glad you enjoyed it! I agree the tutorial is a bit weak, but I just needed to get something in there to at least introduce the mechanics a bit before the actual gameplay. It's good you were still able to get the hang of it in the end!
The red ant and the up beats to throw you off are a nice addition to keep it fresh. Good interesting spin on the rhythm game genre!
Thanks for playing! Those mechanics were fun to make :D
Hi there! I just saw your post on the discord server (yes it works). Really cool game you got there, the visuals are very simple but cute, I love the "dancing animation" of the ant (literally a flipped sprite but it works so well). It was pretty confusing that you're allowed to move outside of the beats, but eventually I got to 80 points.
+ I'm seeing more and more Godot games and that makes me happy :)
Glad you liked the animation! Art is definitely not one of my strong suits, but I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out in the end. I actually did consider limiting movements to be strictly on the beat, but I think that would have led to more frustrating gameplay that would feel like dropped inputs rather than incorrect timing. Congrats on the 80!
Great game, i got confused at the start but enjoyed it, could use some polish around the game overall great fun game to play!
Thanks for checking it out!
This is a great concept! I really liked it. I think it could use some polish around the visual representation of the mechanic. I was very confused about how to navigate diagonals. While I get that you move through diagonals on the beat, it still feels strange to essentially teleport through what visually doesn't look like a gap. If you find a nice solution to that, I think it would greatly improve the visual readability of the game.
Visual representation was honestly the biggest struggle the entire development time haha, I definitely agree even now it's hard to tell visually that you can fit in the diagonal gap. I probably could have figured something out, but alas I was running out of time and needed to work on other mechanics. Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you liked it!
Fun game! Cool idea I like the concept of a rhythm game with a "modifier" mechanic.
I had trouble understanding what was happening at first, but I eventually got it. However, I think adding another percussion effect to indicate when the "new beat" is going to be played or when this new beat ended would be better for players.
Thanks for playing! Glad you figured it out in the end, and yeah definitely agree having a sound signaling when the new beat starts/ends would have been a great addition.
