Nice godot entry! Somehow I found the rats more formidable than the ogre thing in the first zone down the ramp, but the meat was good all the same. Would've liked an indicator of where I was throwing, but I got used to it (and the targets in the starting area helped!). Well tutorialized, looked and felt good, really appreciated the controller support. Nice job!
Another purely 3D Godot Dev!!!!!
This was a fun little game. I really liked the concept of carrying around a treasure chest that acted like a cover/reload mechanic. There's a ton of potential there. I also love the idea of throwing knives as a main weapon. It's not something you see very often.
My one piece of feedback is: I wish you had the time to play more with the puzzle of getting the treasure chest from point A to point B. The decreased speed and jump height were great decisions, and seeing that factored into the gameplay just a bit more would have been nice. That said, I understand this is a game jam and time was limited.
Great work!
Great job! It's fun being a little loot goblin running around a dangerous dungeon! It would be cool to be able to carry more knives but the game is good as it is! The resolution doesn't seem quite right on my computer, 1920x1080 display, but I was able to read all the words in the game if I got close enough to them
Really enjoyed my time with this one! Ran into a more than a few nail biting moments with the rats, and then had an absolute terrifying chase away from the Ogre (or BEEG Goblin? ;) ) with the emerald he was guarding back to the chest. The tutorial signs were a little hard to read/follow, but a super minor thing overal. Great work, go gobbo mode!
Very cool game! I like that you have to physically pick up a coin and carry it to your chest, instead of the coin just being added to your inventory instantly. Very unique twist! Had Fun!
i am a goblin and i like this game.
This game really makes you FEEL like a goblin, lol! It has a really good dungeon crawler feel to it and everything seems to fit perfectly in the gameplay (great design choices). Thanks for sharing!!
I really enjoyed this one! Had a lot of silly quirks about the gameplay, obviously made by a team that was having fun with it, and the presentation is just too cool. I liked being able to hide in a chest and feeling like you're getting one over on huge cyclopses as a silly little guy. I'm glad that these devs are doing their part in spreading more goblincore games out into the world. Plus god DAMN the sparkly shiny gems just looked so GOOD dude I wanna EAT them
It took me a little while to get the hang of this game but I'm really glad I persisted. I ended up discovering quite an addictive gameplay loop in your game! Using the treasure box as a hiding place and replenishing ammo was a great idea that added just the right amount of flavor to the combat system. I felt like the hands and dagger took up quite a bit too much screenspace though. Amazing work!!!
I love dungeon crawlers and this is a really unique take on it! Having to manage your chest while collecting loot while also offering extra utilities. I would really love to see this game get developed on.
Really love the style. Love the idea of having to store all my collectible in a chest that I carry around. Just wish there was a mechanic that allows me to carry more than 1 coin/gem at a time. The back and forth moving was getting a bit too much.
Fun game with nice graphics! I thought the gameplay loop was satisfying, definitely makes you feel like a lil loot goblin. The Microsoft Sam TTS works with the graphics and adds some charm to the game. I wish I had a crosshair, but also understand if it's a choice to make the game harder. One thing that would help though is some additional visual feedback, both from damaging enemies or taking damage. Other than that, solid game. Nice one! :D
this was a lot of fun, and pretty addicting, too! had to force myself to stop playing so i could finally write this review, lol. the gameplay loop is really well done! i loved all the little challenge modes that were introduced in each round, it forced me to improve my skills at the game, which i really liked. eventually i developed a strat for taking down the ogres of repeatedly attacking and then hiding in my chest, which was very silly and helped me rake in a lot more gold. i also love how expansive the dungeon was, though i wish there was some easier way to navigate around it! on more than one occasion i lost where my chest was and went all over the place trying to find it. ^^” great job making this!
pretty fun game. genre is not my cup of tea, but i really enjoyed this. artstyle is good, and the gameplay is smooth. VA works surprisingly well. great job!
It is an amazing game well done! Graphics and balancing is great. There is a bug when you go to a tunnel and get inside the chest , you pop out from the map when you get out so check that out.
Nothin better than going gobbo mode! I had a blast playing this, this was a wonderfully designed dungeon crawler with great environments and gameplay. Had a lot of fun, great work!
Great job! Controls were a bit confusing (use verse pick up) at first but once I got it everything was smooth. Thank you for including instructions in game. haha
I don't know if it was intended but I wasn't a fan of not getting any upgrades. Every new mode just made the game harder so I wasn't really rewarded with anything. lol I got I think 4 new modes and each one just made the game harder. Dark Goblin Souls? lol But even Dark Souls gives you upgrades.
Was there a way to actually climb that tower of boxes and barrels? I can't jump higher than one block so I just could not climb the box tower.
The combat actually felt pretty easy at first but as soon as I ran into two rats shit got real real fast. lol Felt like a great balance. Loved the graphics too.
Fun game! I really like dungeon crawlers, and this one captured those vibes nicely. One thing I wished is to be able to keep track of how much money I looted and if there could be like a shop to use them on.
Fun game! Really liked it
