the art is sooooo dang good! love the whimsical music as well
Love the art style of this game! The soundtrack and visuals fit perfectly with the theme, and it looks incredibly polished. Great job!
Really great art! Very cute and the gameplay was fun too. The attack patterns of enemies was cool but the boss attacks did feel pretty similar to each other. The concept of loosing power over time was cool as well. Overall quite fun and impressive work!
You got such a good modern shojo anime vibe going, it's fantastic.
I adore the style and music here! It's a bit more on the "traditional" side when it comes to top down bullet hells, and i'm missing some clarity in both visuals and audio. I didn't really notice when i took damage, when i hit enemies or what i picked up actually did, except for bombs, but a great entry nontheless. Great work!
This is fantastic, I love everything about it. The last level was so hard but also fair. I would say that it could use better visual clarity sometimes though. It also could use feedback for damage. Otherwise, great!
A really great entry for sure! The presentation is phenomenal and it has some very well designed bullet hell patterns to learn. My main critiques are there's too little feedback for the player both when dealing and taking damage (largely just from a lack of sound effects), as well as I noticed a number of the bullet designs had hitboxes that were larger than their graphic would imply leading to some annoying damage I thought I'd avoided. All in all though I had a lot of fun seeing how far I could get!
Didn't know baseball is this dangerous. Luckily I got the power of love on my side. The music was great and the game had easily accessible difficulty curve. Nicely done!
I really love the music and the movement. Even though the movement is very basic, it's so fluid
My review (tl;dr: it's good):
The artstyle and UI is the best part about this game, the portrait art is cute, and i love the way the graphics in the UI bounce around
The song is really great, but it gets repetitive very quickly, i was hoping there would be more music variety
The lack of sound effects noticeably detracts from the gameplay, it kind of makes it harder to know when you've been hit for example, and in the later stages, that becomes very important
When it comes to balancing, i do feel like the game becomes a lot less fun once you halve the power of the player, the rest of the power decreases are quite fun actually, and the "enemies are faster" downgrade is actually kind of an upgrade because it allows you to come back quicker to a boss you died to
Overall, the game is fun, and even easy for an experienced Touhou player like me (I do normal 1cc's), but the player and bullet hitboxes are very huge, it makes it feel unfair when you get hit sometimes, in Touhou, the hitboxes feel much smaller, so the difficulty spike is huge when you have lost all of your powers, it goes from easy to basically hard/lunatic against the cheerleader girl (in terms of how the difficulty feels to play)
The bullet patterns are also very reptitive...
And i understand that the in-universe explanation is that you are fighting alternate versions of the main character, but it feels like an excuse rather than a concious part of the lore
My ratings:
Theme: 5/5 (The theme is well integrated into the game's gimmick of losing powers, it also reinforces a subconcious encouragement for the player to improve their own "power" by getting better at the core dodging mechanics, which makes the theme work well on a meta level too)
Fun: 5/5 (it's fun for 90% of the game, even if the difficulty spikes at the end detract a little bit from it, i'd feel like it'd be petty to decrease the score if i had fun for 90% of the time)
Originality: 4/5 (minus points for repetitive patterns)
Presentation: 4/5 (incredible UI and artwork, nice bullet graphic variety, great song, but minus points for lack of song variety and SFX)
~~(Oh by the way, i have my roots in Touhou style original music, been doing it for around 13 years, if you ever wanna collab for a future gamejam or something, lemme know hehe (the composer for this game still did a great job though! I am not trying to discredit them, this song slaps, it's great))~~
Peak.
The art is great! I also like the game play and bullet patterns, just needs a little more polish!
Reminds me of a game i used to play on ps2, very fun!
I love the art, I love the music, I love the gameplay. I would really like to see you keep working on this game after the jam. Great work.

The art for this game is really good, but I think it needs more polish, like indicating when enemies are hit/killed, maybe some screen shake, cant really feel feedback on action, after the jam you shouldnt definitely do that, I reckon it could be a sellable product!
It is an amazing game the art and the music is also great. Things became challenging and World 4 but I managed to win somehow I couldn't get past the cheerleader kind of close but minion was rough for me.
My opinion is
- maybe add a little bit of invincible time when a player gets hit by a bullet because sometimes you just got hit by a swarm of bullets and half of your hp is gone by a blick
- there is no sound cue or clear visual cue when the player gets hit by the enemy or the player hits the enemy maybe add some flash like sprite flash white of some sort.
- maybe consider adding a retry button so that when a bad start happens player can restart the match immediately
Great game! The art was really cute. Haven't actually played a whole Touhou game but now I really want to. I really enjoyed the part where you remove powers each run, that was a clever way to increase the difficulty.
What the bullet hell-- (affectionate) (I love this) (music is actually crazy good I would listen to this on my own time omggg)
What a delight! It's peppy, poppy, and the music is great! Maybe one day i'll stop bumping into baseballs :sob:
