I love the big laser and how powerful it feels. The music was nice, but man the hitboxes on some of the enemies legit got me too many times. Also love the art, I do love me some little mage lads.

How does your game represent "Power"?
You have to collect Power Pips in order to charge your giant laser blast. The boss is syphoning power from something. You and the enemies are Electronic.

Great idea, and solid execution for a very fun product! Manages to tow the line between punishing (with the one shots) and rewarding (with YOUR one shots), and with great art and music to boot. Good work!
I like the irony of having such a powerful instakill attack but in order to use it effectively first you have to slowly line up all the targets being extremely careful not to brush by any of them and collect enough mana to use the attack once. This is tough and slow and satisfying to get right, though I couldn't even collect enough scrap to get the first door open lol. The beam is super satisfying though, would love an easy mode with rapid fire. The music and sound effects were phenomenal and I liked the art style. Great job guys
Really tough game but it is super fun to train the enemies up and get a ton of cogs. If the melee had a bit more knockback I would be better at the game (maybe not necessarily the game be better).
Oooooh this game has got hooks. I love the loop of avoiding masses of enemies and then obliterating dozens in one move, very satisfying
This is how you play it:
I really wanted to beat this game and see the ending but unfortunately it took me too long, I already played it for an hour. My record is hitting the boss thrice. Great game.
sprites are really good :) fun gameplay mechanic
slow to boot on through pc
This game plays like a Vampire Survivors where the only move you can do is that one move that nukes the screen every minute, except it's not every minute, but every time you "level up" and the nuke is much more satisfying. I actually think that's a clever spin on it, the player is much more involved and has just enough control to get what they need without feeling too limited. Great job!
Really fun game, awesome sprite art and good mechanics! Well done!
Really fun gameplay mechanic: one shot giga power move. The animations and art felt polished. The movement was great. Overall great job!
Really nice game. I am not that good of a player, so the one hit kill was too much for me. I did get to the boss though!
It was satisfying when I grouped all the enemies together and fired me laser at them. I love doing that in video games. The movement felt responsive and the sprites are pleasing to look at. It would be nice if the melee attack could be buffed more, maybe charge a tiny bit of laser each hit, idk. Overall, very nice game!
Wow, that was sick! All of the art is eye candy (I love that dancing Biggie from the tutorial showing you the controls) and the laser... sheesh! Combined with all of the sound effects and music, it was really satisfying to fire that big laser and take out a whole ton of enemies! I kept getting trapped in a corner with no power and I was just stuck in that corner melee-ing enemies to try to shoo them away so I could escape but alas, my own skill issue 😔
Nonetheless, I enjoyed it a lot!
This game is super fun to play! I really enjoyed messing around with it and the big laser felt awesome to use! The art is great, and I'm very impressed by the number of sprites you managed to get in with this limited amount of time! The character controls well and I had a lot of fun boss fighting! The only note I had is that have a finite amount of resource you can use for you laser paired with seemingly 0 damage to enemies on your melee did mean you could kinda just get stuck, having some other option to maybe get out may have been useful, but that's also very likely just a design preference based on the types of games I usually play rather than any sort of demerit on your game in particular. All in all great job with this! crazy that it's only a week-long project!
THANK YOU SO MUCH <33 And yeah, a nice little dodge would have given the player a bit more agency over the whole 'not getting slaughtered in a corner problem' - especially if the dodge was on a nice, long cooldown as to not erode the whole point of it. But! live and learn :) I'm not the best designer, and am really just here to type code fast.
Wow, how great it is to see another bigmode wizard game. PS, you'll hear from my lawyers :)
