This was super interesting. It took some time to pick up and learn how to play; I’m still unsure why there were some turns where I’d draw a new domino using the central portal, and it would immediately disappear.

The exchange mechanic was really well done. There would be some cool turns where I’d see the enemy preparing for a specific spell, but I’d be able to play a domino on a chaos well and swap their spells, preventing their turn from being useful. Really cool!

Developer

Thanks a bunch! I reckon the dissapearing domino thing would be the boss’s stealing dominos ability, but it’s a lot less readable than we wanted it to be. I’m really glad you enjoyed it, especially beacause i loved your game!

I don't know, it got an interesting concept, but I just don't think it's actually fun to play.

Developer

Oh no :c, sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy it? Would you say there was something that could’ve been done for you to find it more enjoyable?

Submitted(+1)

well, it's just as I wrote, I think the concept is definitely interesting, but also not really fun to play(at least for me). It's kinda slow paced and also really hard to understand in the beginning. The tutorial is also just too much text,

Interesting concept, it was a bit confusing for me at first.
But apart from that, good job!

Developer

Thanks!

I like it when old fashion games like domino gets combined with modern game mechanics, well done. The chilling music during the game play fits perfect and after the first round I enjoyed the game.

Developer

Thanks a lot! Our sound designer is an absolute talent, I have to say.

Took to 2 games to understand the game fully( I didn't read the how to play, I'm stupid ), The game is very interesting and I will keep playing it for sure, Good job.

Developer (1 edit)

Well, from some feedback we’ve gotten, even the tutorial doesn’t fully do it in terms of understanding the game. I’m happy you ended up enjoying it tho!

He had to sit across from me, dominating the board. I tried to arrange my dominos and could tell my fireball stung, but I could not defeat the power that is the master. Nice use of the theme!

Developer

Nice writing! I’m glad you liked it.

This took me a couple rounds to get the hang of but I am glad I stuck it out, there is a really cool game system here! Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for giving it a try and sticking with it :D

This is probably the most in-depth game I've played so far!  Kudos for going big with the idea! The visuals were great and I enjoyed the atmosphere, I wish there was a little more clarity on what the enemy is doing and what your deck looks like! Keep up the great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! I think clarity will definitely have to be one of our focuses for when we resume work on the game. I have watched a couple of people play it even after the jam ended and it was really common for them to completely miss the enemy’s power and the cards they played, which were things we as people who had designed them couldn’t really miss in our own testing.

This seems like a very deep game with a lot of interesting systems with very polished looking, old school graphics. But for a lot of the gameplay, I was confused why things were happening, why tiles disappeared, or cards changed. Giving the player a better sense of cause and effect around the actions taking place on the board will go a long way towards giving them a sense of fun and accomplishment. But overall great work, and I hope you continue to improve it!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! I’m glad you liked the essence of the game. Yes, there is a lot to improve about feedback to the player, and we will try to do it soon :)

Liked the game, but sometimes is hard to tell whats happening, like, the oponent took one of my dominoes and I had no idea why

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing, I’m glad you liked it! Yeah, the rogue’s ability I think needs some more visual feedback, it was something I noticed more than once during playtest.

I'm all for the table top gameplay. Works really nicely with the boss rush theme too. The gameplay was kinda hard to get a hang of at first. I wish there was a more hands on tutorial not just text. Once I did get the hang of it, it was quite engaging to play.

I like the variety of spells. The integration of dominos into a card game is very unique to me. The whole idea with swapping cards was very interesting, although it felt somewhat random, like I didn't have a particularly strategic way to take advantage of it.

Overall a cool entry.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for your feedback! I totally agree with you about the tutorial, it also was an issue during testing, but we kinda ran out of time there. I think the swapping cards as a strategic element is a lot more present during the early game where it happens less often, but later it does become a bit chaotic.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Awesome game. i loved every single bit! i liked the variety of possibilities in this game! really good! navigation was a bit clunky but over all it was a real pleasure to dive into this little domino mazes to get thr right "crystals". Well done!

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah, the navigation is at the top of our fix list, but I’m really glad you enjoyed it nonetheless.

Interesting realisation of boss rush theme. I lie this like domino game. Nice wizard and magic settings

Developer

Thanks a lot! I’m really glad you liked it.

As its been said, the game is enjoyable but lacks some kind of feedbacks (eg : current turn indicator, mana well glow on the "mini map")
Either way, the music and general mood is really good !

Developer

Really glad to hear you enjoyed it! I do agree on those quality of life things, and will probably have to implement them later on.

Submitted(+1)

a polished game, too many things going on at once. need better instruction.
Good work and good creation.

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah, I would have loved to have a whole scripted tutorial, but sadly time was not on our side.

Submitted(+1)

had lots of fun playing the game. i don't know if i was doing something wrong or not but did find it a little difficult to navigate the board. other than that was still very fun to play great job!:)

Developer

Thanks so much! Yeah, I think the board navigation is a bit hampered by the way the wells are aligned with the center portal, so that will have to be a fix in the future.

This was a very fun game. I loved the concept and very enjoyable. I played soo much of it. My only two complaints is that I can't tell who's turn it is, and that there isn't more game to play.

Developer

Thanks for your comment, we are glad you liked it :D

Very nice game, it feels very polish, i wish i have a game like this on my phone, well done!

Developer

Thanks so much! I loved your game as well!

Really nice art and music! I love the mysterious atmosphere it creates. The game is a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it is pretty entertaining, nice work!

Developer

Thanks! Your game had amazing art, so I am honored you thought well of ours.
