loved this game! the mechanics were fun and all fit really well with the theme of the jam and the game overall. reloading mechanic was tricky to get used to but made for interesting gameplay which i haven't seen anything like before. great work!

Project Ouroboros's itch.io pageGame's Take on the Theme
The player is an Ouroboros snake, requiring spinning around to eat its own tail to reload its weapons. The snake can also spin into a coiled form to dodge bullets. Additionally, the snake cannot stop moving, which requires frequent 'spinnage'.
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
I made all the art and code. Music and sounds are from free to use sources.

What a fun unique game! There was a couple times i ran out of ammo and no tail to eat, after a few tries I was able to beat the boss nice submission!
Game that could definitely be sold.
Please rate my duck game.
very polished game, I like eating my own tail, but
using a mouse to move and aim is wild. No end screen, I genuinely thought there was second stage.
The game is fun and the idea is REALLY creative. The only critique I have is that the movement feels a bit weird, the snake never seems to face the direction I want it to and I basically have to run into the boss to actually hit them,
Overall, REALLY cool game, good job!
Damn! This was a polished game! I loved the mix of bullet hell with the classic snake game! It was an amazing idea and very well executed! Congrats on such an amazing game! The art is aslo stunning! Congrats! :D
Cool aesthetic. UI looked very polished on the Gun Selection Screen. Dodge animation is very nice. I like that it also allows you to re-orientate the direction you are looking.
For improvements, increasing the turn rate would be good. Snake gets a bit cramped and hard to control as is. Also maybe let the player eat just by going over items, rather than having to right click at the right time.
Pretty pretty game. Good job!
Finally a snake mouse control game ! I wish I'd see more of them. I just find that turning and moving in general felt a bit slow, would more appreciate instantly turns according to mouse positing. However, the experience was good as it is well balanced and polished. Could add a bit more depth to the level design context tho.
Well done !
I like the idea of anti characters may be a antihero in this case and I'd definitely wanted to see a version of this as a snake who tries to live through the humans. Maybe start the game in the lab while eating up some scientist and get longer tail and somehow find a way to escape the lab to the city where it strives for food and try to live as much as possible even though the humans are trying to attack and capture itself. Good job by the way. :-)
One of the most original games of the Jam. I love the terrifying atmosphere and the mix of futuristic and dystopian concepts. Congratulations for the work. Best of luck in the Jam.
Really great entry! The mechanics feel super fresh and interesting, and the art and music are great! The fact that you continue to move no matter what made it challenging (in a good way), and trying to balance the risk of being a bigger target with needing to be able to reload was a lot of fun. Nice job!
The visuals, ambiance, and tutorial are really well done—congratulations!
I really liked what you brought in terms of gameplay and interpretation of the theme. Unfortunately, I had some trouble with the controls and executing what I wanted (shooting and moving).
Aside from that, I had fun, which is the most important thing. Once again, great job!
