I really liked the different planet abilities! I wasn't expecting a card game, though! It has great replayability with the planets combinations, very nice!

Submitted

Really unique take on the theme! The different planet abilities add a lot of depth.

P.S.: If you have a moment, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my game too!

Submitted

Really well balanced CG. The only thing I could say so far is that to my opinion the Font don't really match with the Artstyle choice. However, everything else is super nice ! Got some fun on it :-)

I like the fact we can select planet from this roulette, this gives a lot the sese of space and the universe, also the card system works really well, I like the enmy designs and overal feel of the game. I rate graphics, control, fun and theme the most, all is great really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!

It was a bit overwhelming at first but it's really fun.

Terox is my favourite with his goofy face.

I like that they both turn into red gloop with bones haha

Great game, good job!

Really like this game you made! Love the idea of selecting 3 planets and having that turn based combat to fight! though it was really cool and unique compared to some others!

(PS: If you're willing to I'd love it if you can rate and leave some feedback on my game! This is my first ever jam and I'd love to see where I can improve for the future!)

This is a really cool take on the theme with a lot of replay value!  I love that each planet has it's own abilities and you clearly spent a good amount of time on the writing!

One piece of criticism I have is I actually didn't expect this to be a card game from the planet select screen!  For have great trivia blurbs about each planet and a one sentence summery of what they do, but it'd be really great if the player can see exactly what cards each planet has when they are selecting them.

This is a cool complex game and I'd love to see more!

Developer

Thank you! This is really important to me! And I was close to unlocking skills on the planet selection screen. But on the other hand, I understand that this will be a big disappointment for JAM players - read and study all this. As if after the first fight it would be possible to reveal this.

Controls are easy and it was easy to onboard. I like the pixel art approach of the game.

Thanks! It's amazing how two comments sit side by side - everything is clear in your game, and - your game lacks clarity :)

Fun concept, there are a lot of different strategies here with picking planets?!?!  I think the battle went on a bit long though.

Developer

Hello, thanks. I can understand that.

Great visuals! I liked the general aesthetic of the game. congrats on the submission.

Hello, thanks! It’s especially nice to hear this, considering that my artist broke down 4 days before the deadline :) And I had to draw something myself

Good visuals. I would have welcomed some tooltips to ease the gameplay catch. Keep going !

Developer(+1)

Hello, thanks for your feedback! I certainly could have done better :)

We love the game's aesthetic! The gameplay is fun and fresh—5/5! 🌻🖤

Hello! Thank you very much for your nice words! I'm going to check out your game soon and give my feedback!

Glad to see another card game that mixes the spin theme. The skills were interesting and I like the boss reveal actions.

Developer

Thanks! Hope you liked it :)

A very original card-based battle system! I like that you can choose 3 planets for the fight, but it would be great to see their skills before the battle starts. A nice turn-based game!

Developer

Thank you very much! On the one hand, I fully support you, I was close to open the skills at planets choice screen. But on the other hand, I understand that this would be a big frustration for a JAM players - read and explore all this. As if after the first battle it would be possible to reveal it.

Submitted

Very original the turn-based battle mode by first choosing the planets. Congratulations for the work. Best of luck in the Jam.

Developer

Thanks a lot! I wish you good loock too, you have a nice game!

Pretty fun card battle, cool entry!! I really like your presentation in this game, the UI felt like it took up just the right amount of space on the screen and communicated the important things to me clearly. The offscreen wizard hand was a nice touch, and I really liked your different planet sprites. Selecting 3 planets with different strengths and weaknesses based off their real life properties was a super interesting idea for a game too. I wish that there were more interactions between the 3 planets so that you could experiment with different combinations and synergies. Like for example maybe using Pluto (smallest) and Jupiter (biggest) in the same team would have some kind of unique combo based on their sizes. I really enjoyed your drawings and animations for the Rock and Ice bosses but wish there were a couple additional ones (that being said I only had 2 bosses in my game too xD). I think the biggest room for improvement is to have more synergies between the cards to add more depth to the card-playing mechanics, in the current state I found myself just choosing the highest damage attacks until I won the fight as there was little reason to explore my options. (edit: I also think you could have done a bit more with the theme, as the only reference to spin were the planets themselves and the planet selection menu, the gameplay itself had little to do with it.) Overall, I enjoyed my time with your game and the art and presentation are really lovely. Nice work and keep it up!!

Developer(+1)

Oh, thank you very much, this goes straight to the heart :) Synergy of planets is the closest TBD that I wanted to do, but not even close there. The deadline just got to my head :) Thank you so much for your serious and thoughtful review, it’s worth a lot!

Hey what a neat game you got there with unique spin mechanics! Mercury ALL the wayyyy! Congrats on submission, and good luck!

I rated and reviewed in hopes that you will return the favor of your rate submission of my game below! I'm helping low rated games by rating them!

- If others read this, RATE/REVIEW my game to get me to try yours as well! Thanks!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'll check out your game soon! By the way, I play exclusively randomly (with the exception of comments on my game as a return respect)

Right on, sounds good to hear!

Nice art and boss design, the mechanics complexity look reasonable, the only thing it lacks for me is amount of animations (both ui and combat) so I could understand what's going on more intuitively.

Developer

Thank you very much! The damn deadline destroyed all chances of doing what you're talking about :) I somehow got the game into a more or less playable state, so there was stupidly no time left for the rest, unfortunately

Submitted

Nice game! As someone whose team also made an planetary artstyle, I think you nailed it! Well done

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm very pleased

Submitted (1 edit)

very in depth with all the planets having multiple abilities and everything. I think what would have been good is if the player started with just 1-3 planets and got more as they played so they weren't overwhelmed with options upon starting the game up.

Developer

Hello, thanks! I tried not to make this a frustrating experience for all players, but we must, of course, understand that this is a jam and there is not enough time left for a clear UX
