You were inspired by BeyBlade, I was also inspired by that in my game, yours look great, the visuals and the feel of the game are nice, the controls I took a bit to get used to them but its all good, I rate graphics, control, fun and music the most, all is great really, also, if you have some time, please, rate my game too, thanks!!!
Are there controls listed somewhere? game looks super pretty but i can't figure out the controls
I liked that it very much resembled Beyblade, which really felt nice, but I feel like the movement was a bit underwhelming, as later in the stages I really did not had to do anything as it was moving by itself rather than strategically moving it. Overall, I liked the concept and the art style.
I was pressing random buttons and somehow managed to beat it.😎
But overall, nice art style and music. Movement system with different arenas was interesting too.
But game heavily lacks sfx, I think even if you wanted to make sfx yourself, you could still put some free open sfx to the game as a placeholder, otherwise there is not much satisfying impact when you bump yourself against the enemy or the arena.
Also as I said, at the beginning was a bit hard to get the controls and gameplay UI and how are you supposed to play properly. like what different meters mean and etc. Though yeah, eventually I got most of it.
What a good game, the whole structure is very well done, all the art is very beautiful! I just missed some sound when the "bayblades" hit, but I still had a lot of fun playing it! Congratulations on the game!
I really liked it, fun
The physics feel really good in this, but I'd like more feedback if I hit the boss, some subtle camera shake or a sound effect or sparks or something.
I like the visuals, however I don't like the CRT effect (but this might be a personal preference thing).
Yeah, we agree on the feedback! We had planned to add a camera zoom effect. Each time you hit the boss, the camera would zoom in a little and then slowly zoom out over time. We also wanted to pair that with a combo system, but unfortunately, we ran out of time.
Appreciate your feedback, though! Thanks again!
You games looks really cool. Would've loved a web/ linux/mac version. Sadly no windows machine on my end.
Glad you think the game looks cool! We’d love to have a web/Linux/Mac version too, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get to it this time. Hopefully, we can support more platforms in the future!
The collision physics feel really good in this. It really resembles battling tops hitting each other and it is very satisfying to collide with the boss at high speeds.
The gameplay was a little underwhelming because it felt like I had no control over the outcome of the battle. A common concern I have with battle top games is who takes damage when two top collide. I wasn't too sure who was taking damage or how to steer into the boss so I just prayed for the best. I got about 8 fights in by holding right click on the center of the arena.
Totally hear you on the gameplay! The high speed and tough controls are intentional. spinners deal more damage at high speed but are harder to control, while lower speeds offer better control but less damage. We have plenty of ways to increase speed but not many to decrease it, which we’ll be fixing.
Damage feedback and controls definitely need improvement. Unfortunately, we only started thinking about both and a proper tutorial when it was too late. Appreciate the detailed feedback!
Aesthetics were really good and all but you should've made a" try again" button. The controls were a little weird but I almost got used to them at the end. Couldn't get the boss that was greedily eating up all the heals lol
Glad you liked the aesthetics! Unfortunately, we didn’t have time for a ‘Try Again’ button. And yeah, bosses love stealing heals; definitely needs some balancing. Thanks for the feedback!
This brings me back to when I had a Beyblade haha. It would have been nice to have SFX whenever the spin tops would collide with something. Very nice!
Glad it brought back those Beyblade memories! We had planned to add a lot more juice to the game but ran out of time, which would’ve made it even cooler!
Very immersive game ! I felt like I was about to join an underground secret Beyblade clud ! The game run really smooth, and aesthetic is fire ! I hope you'll have time for update the game and implement all the missings features :D
I LOVE the aesthetic! From the cover art to the graphics, everything looks amazing! And it plays really well too. The only issue I ran into was that when I died, I got stuck on the "You Lost" screen and couldn’t figure out how to restart the game—except by closing and reopening it. Please tell me if I missed something...
The music is ICONIC! I did miss some SFX, though... I'd love to see more updates for this game, and I’m super curious to see where the team could take this project with more time and polish. You all are seriously talented!
Congrats on the project! 🚀
Thank you for your feedback!
Regarding the issue of getting stuck on the 'You Lost' screen, we unfortunately ran out of time to implement certain features, including the workshop, additional bosses and abilities, game balancing, sound effects, and proper pause and lose menus.
That said, we’re committed to improving and completing the game, and we truly value hearing from players like you. Your support means a lot to us, and we’re thrilled that you enjoyed the game!
