Really enjoyed the gameplay and glad to see someone else also managed to make an investigative game for this jam! Nice work!
Cool idea! Interesting story and concept
I can't for the life of me figure out who was the tourist that died... This is why I'm not a detective I guess... amazing concept! I love the way I need to piece the puzzle together and can't wait to figure out what the true story is! Love your take on the theme, it's so original and really deserves more attention.
Update: I finally figured it all out. :D
Glad to hear! :D Thank you for the comment! <3
Very cool idea!
Really creative game concept, and I'm astonished that you got it done in just a week!
I'm not even that interested in crime stories or mysteries, yet this still captivated me, which just shows that you're an incredible writer.
Phenomenal entry, the only bad thing about it is how underrated it is.
Thank you so much!
Really interesting detective game that makes you go through the full story to solve the riddle.
I liked the concept, the idea of building sentences using already existing words from the webpages. UI is intuitive and very nice, sound effects are perfect. But the puzzles are a little bit too hard, at least for me. After searching through all the pages looking for one specific word, I got to a sentence that didn;t really make sense, and when I tried to make som eout of it, ended up with lots of different possibilities. This discouraged me, so I wasn't able to finish the game. I feel like some hints, at least subtle, would be nice to have.
But, knowing how hard it is to create a sensible and interesting story in only one week, I really feel like this is a great submission!
Thank you for your feedback! If you remember, could you please tell me what was the question you struggled with? We are planning to add hints mechanic in a future release, and we are also thinking of reformulating some tasks, your input would be very valuable :)
it was something like "what subject provoked what conclusion", I really lost it at this point
I Loved the game, the coding aspect of it is awsome!
Cool, I like research games like this. The game is consistent with itself, which is very nice. A suggestion is maybe the needed words could be highlighted, because I had to go through all the pages and look for the one exact word.
Thank you for the feedback! We are planning to add limited hints mechanic that would directly show a word for a blank that is currently wrong/empty. If you remember, could you tell what was the question/word you had trouble finding?
One of the early ones, „the same as …” or something like that
Played it for like 5 minutes and not gonna lie, I enjoyed it very much ;) Will come back to play it whole later when I find some time. Amazing work!
I usually don't play these kind of games but I still gotta say it's great that you managed to create a whole crime story in just seven days It was also nice that you had to click on key words to go to the next page rather that just clicking a next button which would have been lame. Only criticism I have is that it was kind of confusing at times I have to go through all the pages to find just one or two words which becomes boring after a while anyways it was still a well made game. loved it!
Great concept with an original feel to it. Good UI to, very easy to navigate in the different files, great job!
This type of game isn't my usual type, but I still appreciated the story! the sound fx were satisfying and the UI was easy to navigate! Great job!
Interesting game, gripping story. Not much to say. Good job!
Can you try and rate my game ?
Tried and rated. Good job as well!
Really good game! It reminds me of The Case of the Golden Idol. I really like the idea of browsing in the internet for more clues. I would reccomend adding key words (something like in The Case of the Golden Idol), so player doesn't have to open every single page to find that one word. Overall, great job!
I love The Case of the Golden Idol, it was a big inspiration, but I felt like key words give out too much. I added a "notes" section to drop any word from the page that looks sus. Anyway, we're thinking on adding some hints to make it a little less difficult (if we decide to continue working on the game).
Thank you for the comment and for playing!
Really fun and it was a really different take on the theme!
Really fun and it was a really different take on the theme!
Amazing game. I got myself caught in this detective dive for half an hour. Loved it.
a very unusual understanding of the topic. you can really feel like a real detective working with a lot of documents
This is a really cool game. The style is great, the story is great. and that revilation I had once I figured out it was the same person that died and it was all about time travel was great. I really enjoyed this.
Great game, keep it up♥
