Very cool graphics! Fun addictive gameplay loop! I was wondering if you are meant to be able to just spam the shift key and go through each floor whenever you want? Which may make since because you don't get any upgrades, but it is a little confusing.

Nice game! The graphics are very good, even if the 2D sprites sometimes made the hitboxes unclear. Controls are sharp, the game design is on point, and I really enjoyed the upgrade system! Good job =)

Wow! Nice game! Very good graphics and creative idea!

Fun little game!  perfectly fits the theme (though I kept accidentally hitting the break-through-floor button :-) )

Very well done, love the artwork and vibe, amazing :) I was not sure if the monsters fall with me if I shift the ground before killing them , but otherwise really cool, well done for the art, really love it :)And going deeper like that is great as well . The big monsters seemed easier to kill as there collider is probably bigger, not sure if it was intended but cool anyway :)

Probably my favorite game for the jam this far. Really crazy work ! GG.

I liked it, I only wish some of the enemy hitboxes were a bit larger.

Down deeper into the ancient temple!

Things I enjoyed ✔️

  1. I love the sprite work, it is very well done and looks great!
  2. Gameplay itself is alot of fun! It felt very polished!
  3. The audio sounds great!

Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷‍♂️

  1. Honestly adding some more ways to upgrade your character, thats all I can really think about, and possibly more ambience.

Overall 📓

I had a very fun time playing your game! You did a great job and should be very proud of it!

Game Design IS COOL

great game one suggestion you have a bit to much useless space in front of the level and if that is there it would be nice to have some more stuff over there Idk anyway great job.

Really enjoyed how I was able to control the pace of the game, the roll felt solid and fun to use, and the enemies were very discernable and easy to understand. Really well made game :)

Pretty innovative with the fact that you can end a level with Shift, maybe make enemys accumulate to stop the player from shifting too fast?.

I like the simple concept, and the art style is vibrant. For some reason, the score and depth text disappear when I fullscreen. It also booted me out of the game back to the menu randomly the first time I play. Various bugs, but they all seem already mentioned by other people. Very enjoyable game overall :)

Underrated game - that the team made all of this minus the fonts is wild! It feels very polished, like a real game and is off the charts for a game jam, would be great on mobile. The sound and graphics are also very appealing. My only comments are 1) as others have said, an indication of level, because the game is long enough that it can feel long - I think you can get away with not indicating it if the game is very short 2) I spammed Shift just to see what would happen, and I went through levels endlessly without achieving anything :D I know that's not the purpose of the game, but it's possible. 3) The colliders for the walls might need to be adjusted a bit, I found myself vanishing into the columns at times.

Overall awesome game!

Awesome game! It is very fun to play, but sometimes the hitboxes of the enemies feel a bit small

Nice art style and cool 2.5D visuals, I like them a lot. Good variety of enemies with different behaviours, which is easily forgotten in a game jam with limited time however the game did feel slightly repetitive the more I played it. I think an indication of the floor level would have been nice as well. Nevertheless, this is a good entry overall! Nice work :)

Clean ! The game felt really responsive and pleasant, i like the 2d/3d mix of the graphics and the theme "maya"/"inca"/"aztec", neat game !

Hello,

This is a very interesting game. The movement and shooting were smooth and I liked them. I played through some levels but I noticed that the enemies get pretty repetitive and somehow I managed to bug my powerups by spamming the first one I got and because of that I got my whole screen covered by the same Icon ( I put a screenshot). Another thing I find strange is that you can just spam shift and skip through levels without even giving them a glance. You should put some flag when the level is over then can the player go to the next one.

Overall it was a really neat and cool little game. It made me a good impression!

Cool concept, with some playtesting and these comments here to tweak the game, you might have a really cool game here :) good job!

I liked it for the most part. The camera feels too far away, the player and enemies inhabit a pretty small part of the screen.
