How does your game fit the theme?
Actually, the main idea was to use the doors to find evidence, but now the game is not very related to it.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code was made by me. Also every graphics and sounds, except for characters sprites and hotel music.

Not bad for a first case detective 😄 It was a fun little mystery, and the self-aware humor made it better! The Ace Attorney vibe is also appreciated "Let me ask YOU a question detective" haha
Thanks for playing! I used ace attorney as a great inspiration on the accusation part, I like a lot the dialogues of these games lol
Great game! I do like detective game with the sense of humour in the dialogue and I think this game is one of them.
Fun game! I always love a good mystery. I enjoyed that I didn't totally have to figure it out, the detective explained everything for us at the end. Overall a pretty fun little adventure game!
First things first, this game is very polished, and actually, there is not much to add or change about it, in my opinion.
You could consider binding the USE and SKIP DIALOGUE button to the same key because there really isn't any reason why they should be different keys at the moment. You are only able to do one of the two things, so it would never conflict with itself. If you were to do that, it would also be very easy to use a more common control theme like pressing E for interactions. You could also add dedicated audio sliders for SFX and music, but there is really no need to do so. At the current state, there is not really a point in allowing the player to move diagonally, so you could either remove that ability to hide the lack of a diagonal walking animation without affecting gameplay, or you could add animations for that, of course. The overall tone and atmosphere of the game are very well crafted, and although I am really not a huge fan of games like this, I enjoyed this short little game. Very well done, good job!
Im not a gamer so I'm not expert about controls and stuff, so you said something really helpful here! I'll redo the controls and of course add the possibility to change it as you prefer in he settings.
Really, thank you for your feedback, this will help me a lot <3
Very well done!
Thx :)
Just an awesome piece of work. Some dialogue lines make me smirk. Especially want to appreciate a nice and warm color palette.
Only thing that would make it even better for me, it is the possibility to ruin the case with incorrect conclusions, but overall, i loved it. Best design ive saw on this jam so far.
Thank you for this kind comment <3
About the incorrect conclusions, I thought about something similar, a bad ending would be a great addition.
Fantastic game I love it! Very high degree of completion! I really enjoyed playing it through. The case investigating process was easy and smooth, and the dialogue was very interesting. Also the characters' animation performance is quite rich! The testify part reminds me of Ace Attorney LOL I was so afraid of giving a wrong evidence. Very good job!
Hey bro thank you! Ace Attorney was my main inspiration, I love the trilogy ;p
Very cute artstyle! I love the music choice too. The dialoges were hilarious! Great work!
Thank you :D
Another hotel themed game :D
The arstyle was cute and the muted colour pallette was a good choice. It felt a little weird though how the characters are a lot wider when facing towards/against the camera than sideways. Solving the case was quite fun and interesting. A complete detective game is rare to see in game jams. The music started to get a little annoying quickly.
But overall, really good game.
hello, thank you for the feedback!
I agree the music is a bit repetitive, but I hope it didn't mess your experience, I'll try to find a way to make it even better
I'm glad you liked the case, I'm not a good writer but I did my best lol
reminds me of Undertale or Pokémon, good work man, especially liked the funny dialogue bits!
It's good to see that people liked the dialogues a lot haha thank you!!
Vary cool graphics! Reminds me of old pokemon games. Dialogues are funny
Thanks bro!
Really well done! I absolutely loved how hilarious the dialogues were, even the delivery was funny in my head because of how it was timed. The case was really good for a jam game, and i loved the role of doors through out. Well done!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great game! i made a bunch of errors along the way buy i find it funny how the detective tries to correct himself! good job on the submission!
Yeah my playtester said it made the game too easy, but I think it was a funny way to deal with mistakes
Thank you for playing <3
O jogo e bom mas o comeco foi um pouco devagar pode acabar tirando um pouco do interesse, parabens pelo game !!!!
Que bacana ver do nada os brasileiros brotando haha
Thank you!!! <3
Bom jogo bem polido e com uma arte bem legal e uma boa bossa nova tocando
Muito obrigado mano! ;p
Great game! I happen to love the "whodunnit" genre so maybe I am biased. I had a blast playing it!
Small feedback is when they talk it'd be nice to have a little face next to who is talking. I sometimes get confused who is talking especially at the end!
Character portraits is something I would love to add, but I'm not a good artist so maybe it will take a lot of time lol
Thank you for playing!
I'm also in the jam, and I know with more time everyone has a list of things they'd like to add or wanted to add. I try to provide the listed feedback in a constructive form to highlight different perspectives as a player and to show that I indeed did play the game.
Wow, thanks for playing and giving feedback!
Loved the game, loved the clever use of humour and meta jokes. really enjoyed playing this one. Top notch work :)
Thank you!!
I had a lot of fun playing your game! The story's progression was nice, and I like how you included jokes and funny moments; it makes the gameplay experience more enjoyable. Great job on the game, and thanks for making it! :D
Thanks for playing! Sincerely, the best part of the development was creating jokes, I'm glad you liked it ;D
This game is really cute, great job!
Thank you!
