I can see what you were going for, but I would've like it to ramp up a little more, instead of throwing you into the deep end right off the bat. But otherwise nice. The controls felt smooth.

How does your game fit the theme?
My game has a calm phase and a chaotic phase. Could not achieve much in the calm phase in the game jam since this is my first one
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

Great art style. Didn't hear audio? The controls were very smooth. Great mechanic where the mouse cursor protects vs the fireballs. Nice entry!
very smooth animations with some fun and simple gameplay, cool stuff
The combat worked quite well, felt like attacks really connected. I think I must have beat everyone back because the enemies stop spawning at some point.
There were a couple spots where the character would collide into something invisible, but generally the movement was nice. Congrats on your first release!
The art is wonderful! It is fun. The mouse input is duplicated. But it is nice
The combat is fun. The beginning is tough though since you immediately fight 2 enemies.
Good work.
I liked the slashing sword and combat is solid! there are some issues with the environment and collisions but considering this is your first game jam game its pretty impressive!
For your first game it's well done made, I'm sure you learned a lot already from making this game being in a jam!
Definitely learn more and experience a bit and you achieve big. Good game for sure.
A simple game, but still interesting. Only I think it doesn't really fit the theme. It's not the calm before the storm, it's the storm itself. But I enjoyed running around shooting everyone.
At one certain point, all the enemies died and no new ones appeared and I was running around on an empty map. And I didn't understand if it was a bug or if it was supposed to be like that.
And also I didn't hear any audio
Hi, thanks for your time and feedback!
Its true: I wanted a calm phase where the goblins are your friends and you talk to them for advantages in the storm phase, I realized I wont be able to do that so I thought maybe I can just give difficulty sliders before starting the game, but a dialog system was also out of scope within Jam submission, so currently the only calm element is really the main menu.
I made the main menu and a pause menu but couldnt fit in the game end menu in time (Menus were all done in the last few hours)
These are all points I can improve on on the next game jams.
I like how your character can walk and water. Also, you probably don’t want all your previous inputs ever queued. I couldn’t tell when the calm part was though.
Looks good, and plays decent. I wouldn't place 3 enemies so close to the spawn point and a little bug I found was when I click my mouse button really fast for like like 50 times all those attacks got in a queue and the knight would keep shooting until all those 50 attacks fired over time. And it needs audio! :P But for your first game done all by yourself it's really nice, great job!
I made an animation queue since there were 2 attack animations in a combo, but spamming results in a long wait time which could work but is kind of annoying. I am planning to cap the queue at 4 or maybe even 2.
Time management was kind of poor on my side where i focused too much on polish before even introducing enemies, couldnt make time for audio, dialog, or interesting enemy placement or balancing. But I am very happy I made a decently working prototype.
Thanks for your time and feedback.
for a first game on godot, its pretty decent. could do with some audio and a progression though
