Very fun, cool take on the storm, however I felt the time between storms was too short. I also really liked the upgrades.
Overall great work!

How does your game fit the theme?
The objective is to survive through the storm and the player has to prepare in the calm time which comes before the storm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We drew all sprites from scratch but the sounds of rain and thunder we used are from a sound bank.

Overall great work!
Good game and execution.. Some particle effects and I think the game will be pretty good.
Kudos!!
Pretty good top-down shooter. Like the uniqueness of the storm giving the player a random effect. Graphics could use some work though.
Great game! I like the variety of debuffs and the upgrades, keeps things interesting!
Nice work! The storm was legit scary, especially with the added difficulty of inverting the controls. I loved the gun sound, and the fact the player would be pushed back by the kickback from the gun, that was a nice touch!
The shooting sound with the machine gun got a laugh out of me
I like the debuffs from the storms! If the game was fleshed out further could have been really cool
Nice submission!
I loved this! So much fun with so little :D I think the flamethrower could be more powerfull, since I ended up using just the machine gun. I like that each wave has a different twist, they could be even combined the more u play. Sometimes the audio was really glitching a lot, but maybe because there was so much happening at once :D Really fun game! Oh and yeah as others mentioned, SFX needs to be improved, just add bunch of sfx to the guns, make it random, add music maybe, it really does help a lot!
It's a simple concept and it's fun, I found the character's shooting sound funny haha.
I think that a musical melody would have added to the experience, and for some reason the game started to drop frames when I entered the darkness. I don't know if it was planned, or if it's an optimization problem, but it seemed a little strange to me.
Still, it's great work! :D
Fun and simple idea. The gun sound really needs some work though xD
Alright for some feedback (actually I gave some on Ategon's stream):
- Some aditional feedback: Stuff like flashing the player end enemies red and some sound effect for player taking damage would be great
- SFX!!! : I feel like this is the biggest point against this game, it lacks sfx in places like realoading the weapon buying stuff at the shop, and collecting coins which really takes away from the expirience.
-Some envirement : Running around an empty arena is cool, but running around a big arena with obsticles cover and all of that good stuff is even cooler.
-Random Effects: It's hard to realize at first that effects are even rolled or shown, so it would be cool to have possible results cyclic at the top with like a fortune wheel sfx to give it some anticipation and make it more fun
A fun game, thought it was interesting that was written in python, good job! Sometimes during the storm, I had lag issues and the controls were inverted. Nonetheless I like the use of light in the storm, and the loop is neat
Pretty neat game, even though the controls get inverted when the storm comes. And the sounds are a bit random but other than that , it was pretty fun :).
Hope that you'll also rate mine https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at it again in the future heres the vod timestamped to your game
Pretty cool mechanic, a lot of potential, and suit the theme of this game jam really well, good job
