Hee-ho. Interesting game. Cool visual

Great concept, amazing visuals, it is very high quality work. And there are good strategic actions. Congrats making this kind of game in a week :D

Here is my game if someone wants to try:

It has a such a unique idea behind it! I love seeing how people using theme differently and i have lots of respect for that. I really liked the gameplay it just feels like it needs a little bit more time to make this game perfect! Well done ☻

Nice game! I think something so important like the folder should be positioned better and have a more obvious orange border.

Other than that, it looks like the weight is very heavily on manpower than anything else. That means it's better not to even use the store at all until and unless it's really necessary. I see someone who didn't even know the store was there was able to win, and now I think I understand why. Actually when I knew it was there and used it, I was actually at a disadvantage until I pretended I didn't know it was there.

Maybe this was not intended and it may need a balance tweak. But I really liked the strategic concept and gameplay a lot, nice job!

Thanks for the feedback! There's difficulty settings in the gameplay options before you start the game if you want more of a challenge :P

Balance was definitely our weakest point because of the amount of time spent getting the game working so we resorted to adding harder difficulties last minute :P

Cheers for checking us out!

Interesting, in case I play it again I might check out if the difficulty settings change it a bit. Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback!

We'll definitely take the criticism with the shop and folder seriously moving forward, 100% agree with the signposting issue so if we turn this into a more serious game ill make a note to amend that, either way its good to learn from something like that

As for the shop, that is a major balancing issue, im sure if we take this game further the team as a whole can rework stuff and hopefully make the shop a worthwhile addition

Either way, thank you for the honest feedback it definitely helps alot and is appreciated!

For now I might skip giving any rating at all for this game in case it's my mistake, but I didn't understand this one at all even with the tutorial at the beginning and even with what's on the itch.io page right now.

I'm able to buy things by clicking on the map, but I really don't understand what you're supposed to do in this. I can click the bed and it says to complete tasks by responding to intel but not sure what this means.

The tutorial showed some other folder too but I am unable to access that one by clicking.

I tried clicking stuff on the map itself like the trenches, but nothing happens.

I am not sure if there's some timer to wait for or what to do. I tried clicking around and nothing happens. In the game, nothing happens in general. I wonder if I'm supposed to wait longer, but am not sure what to do to play this game.

Sorry to hear you're having issues. You'll need to interact with the folder to the right of the map on the desk infront of the player, that'll allow you to make a choice based on the current event as indicated in the tutorial. There's no pointer (which was a mistake :P) so it might be a bit fiddly but try select above and around the folder in case your resolution isn't compatable for whatever reason and may be messing up the hit registration.

Afterwards you can interact with the bed and sleep to the next day where you repeat the steps based on the remaining resources you have. There may have been some bug in exporting which caused you to be unable to interact with the folder when clicking but try restart the whole game and try again. Let us know if you find a fix or keep having problems and I'll try to help the best I can!

Thanks for checking out the game though <3

Edit: I think someone else may have had a similar issue if you skipped the tutorial at a certain point. Try skip the tutorial as soon as you start the game by pressing 'Space' to see if that may have been the issue.

Ah thanks this helped.

Thats our bad if the tutorial didnt explain it well enough
You got it right by thinking to click on the folder, just try to meet the minimum defense score using stuff from the store and the resources you have, then once you're satisfied with what you've done for the day, click on the folder and choose the answer you think suits the given situation best

After that, use the bed to progress, dont worry about a timer, you have unlimited time so you can think about what you're doing before you progress

As for the folder being weird to click, it should highlight itself when your cursor is over it, though ill admit, the glow is feint and we couldve done a bit better with signposting it

Regardless, even if you dont try the game again, thank you for your thoughts and feedback

Yeah I noticed it now but it is really hard to see, I think if the folder was so important it should be positioned better and I think the border should have been much more prominent like the one on the bed or even more so.

I really liked the premise of the game and it fits the theme perfectly! for me the only issue was mouse sensitivity its too high

Thanks for the feedback! A sensitivity slider is a good shout

Exceptional work on this game! The blend of engaging gameplay, beautiful design, and thoughtful details makes it a standout. It’s clear that a lot of effort and creativity went into making this experience memorable.

nice game, I like the idea and it fits the theme well, good job!

The idea is pretty original among other games I've seen so far. However, I managed to complete the game without ever having to touch map/store, in fact, I couldn't open them at all for some reason. I would dig more fleshed out version of this

If im ok to ask, did you try the mouse to open it or a controller/Keyboard, if we do flesh it out id like to get that problem sorted out ASAP, Tysm for the feedback regardless!

Submitted(+1)

Nope, I was only using my mouse and pointing at it
I think problem might be because I skipped tutorial when it was showing me the task panel, after that inputs glitched a little it seems

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

Sorry to hear about the bug you experienced, if you want a harder experience you can also change the difficulty in the gameplay settings before starting a game and it should give you a really good challenge. Cheers for letting us know about the bug though <3

Then I wonder if you were able to complete the game without playing it, essentially,

I found out how to play it and I figured out why you can win without the store.

Actually by not knowing the store you were even at an advantage, which I guess might be technically some issue with the game's balancing.

When I bought stuff from the store I actually lost before Day 3 or even lost on Day 1. When I almost never bought anything and just bought something at the very end just in case, I was able to win the game. I think that might be a problem with the game's balancing because it's too emphasized on manpower, and buying stuff from the store uses lots of manpower fast.

Making the right decisions on the folder outweighs even using the store at all! You not even knowing the store was there and you won anyway means there might be some problem with the balancing of the game or something.

This game is so cool, this must of taken ages for you to write all the possiblilities.

Great game idea and exectuted perfectly. Sadly i didnt manage to beat it cause i am really bad at strategy games.

such a fun game!
it has a creative and clever idea of implementing the theme in it that is unique and i havent seen anything similar throughout the other entries.
the graphics and audio were perfect for giving you the feeling that you are located in the middle of the battle and also i liked the strategic gameplay of it!
the only issue i encountered was that the text box wouldnt finish the sentence before going to the next one, it would have been better if you had the player click for it to give out the next sentence!

Thanks a lot!

The curse of forgetting to use Delta Time haha, cheers for the feedback, clicking to go to the next text box is a great idea!

i actually literally have the same problem in my own game where people who have more than 60 fps, the timer goes faster for them so i relate to this so much XD

nice game!

Well made! A really unique entry among others and the game makes you think wisely before you go to bed.
The room where the player is situated is nicely made, good job!

Hey man, this game was fun. I enjoyed the sounds and mood. It would be wonderful if there were more interactive features and locations.
