I like the atmosphere! I had a little trouble with the player movement, it felt a little odd. I would definitely recommend using Godot's default characterbody3D template for basic player movement, it works pretty well out of the box with little tinkering. I also managed to softlock myself in the shed by trapping the monster in front of the door while I was still inside. Other than that good work!

Fun game! The intro could use some subtitles, I missed like three words. Overall though, pretty fun!
Pretty cool game, but the character movement was very strange and the game is too poorly optimized. it's very important to optimize a game when it's focus is on graphics (35 FPS with a RTX 3060).
Hope that you'll also rate mine :) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690
it was pretty good but it had my laptop lagging like crazy; this issue only occurred near trees, but other than that the game was really good. nice work!
This is really good for your first 3D jam, especially using Godot! I think some of the performance issues people are talking about are due to quirks of Godot, and you can't really make the required optimizations for that in a time crunch like a game jam haha. The atmosphere was great, I liked the voice acting, I did get stuck in the shed and had to restart because I put the trap outside the door and camped in it (I'll chalk that one up to being a coward). Great job, I hope you keep making 3D games!
Hee-ho. Interesting game, cool visual. But I have performance issue
Such a cool Game ! I really enjoyed the setting and the Gameplay... Best wishes for the jam !
Really cool atmosphere and art! Liked the lighthouse setting as well, good work!
I found the Easter egg!! The game was great, and I was so surprised when the phone said I wasn’t so talkative after it told me to respond and I didn’t. It’s really cool that you could interact with the phone like that. My only major issue was that the game became super laggy, even though I have a good PC, which stopped me from finishing it. The atmosphere and sounds were great, but it became unplayable after some time in the forest. Other than that, it was really well made for just 7 days, so congrats!
Great, sorry about performance i did a bunch of optimisation in the lead up to the jam and uploaded the version with 30 secs to spare.
Im very sorry about the lag it was due to the trees and how godot handels mesh instances (I think it might get patched in the next update)
I should have made the shed more obvious aswell but im glad you tried it !
Thanks
I have seen an horror game like this :D, Graphics and sounds are amazing. there was even actual people talking :D, Specially rain visuals were so good, I loved the environment, and the game is huge, there is a lot of content, great job,
Here is my game if someone wants to try:
A really cool game! Creepy atmosphere and a cool setting, nicely done!
I'm definitely a big fan of lighthouses, but I also hate horror/thriller games, because even a reactionary atmosphere is enough to scare me. BUT I love games like lethal company, it's so much fun to walk around in excitement. The sounds were definitely very good, I thought it was a bit laggy because I was on a laptop, but I saw in the comments that a few other people had the same problem. Still, these are very small details for a 1-week game jam project. You did a very nice job, congratulations ☻♥
A really interesting game for sure, I think with some work this could easily evolve into the Phasmaphobia/SCP/Lethal Company genre. Very on theme, and a great use of audio for the purposes of anxiety. Bonus points for green teletubby Mothman
The ambience of the game was really cool and creepy, well done!!! That guy jumpscare oh my god, you really nailed it!!
Feedback: The game was a bit laggy and I don't have a bad PC at all, maybe it's something related with optimization. Also at first I was very lost and struggled a lot to find the house, you could give some indications in the UI for example (at least at the first part of the game).
Good job :)
Im sorry about the lag, I tried to optimise as much as possible without sacrificing the ambience but it was just so hard also considering that godot isnt the best at large instances of objects. Lots of people get lost and I reduced the trees and made the trees close to it really thin, but i had run out of playtesters who didnt know where it was :(.
Thanks for the feedback though.
such a nice game with beautiful graphics!
the atmosphere was so good that made you feel like you are actually in the game which i loved the most.
there were some bugs though but im not sure if it was because of my potato graphics card or not haha...
i really enjoyed it and all of my rates are either 5 or 4 stars because of that!
