Just barricaded one person in the house and survived all the 6 days, lol.

Not really sure what just happened, but i love the art and music.

Nice game, I love the vibe at night! It was a bit hard for me to understand what was going on, what I needed to do at day, what I need to do at night (when you can't see anything really...) A nice entry overall!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback and for playing. There is an electric generator to switch on to have light during the night, but did not introduce it in dialogs.

I really like the style of this, had some old flash game vibes. Needed another go once i knew what i was doing :)

I absolutely like the visuals including the little details about those night visitors. I managed to spot a group of three standing around while the storm was just brewing and it managed to convey the ‘Cabin in the woods’ feeling. I think I cheesed the game by just placing all population counter relevant elements (aka citizens) in the same room all the time no matter what.

Stunning work! The visuals are beautiful, and the gameplay is so smooth and fun. It's clear that a lot of passion went into this, and the result is nothing short of amazing. Fantastic job!

Hey!

Creating everything from scratch is pretty tough, I commend you for that. The gameplay is fun, the night is a bit fast, and it seems like seperating the group while constantly repairing the barricades can almost guarantee your survival.

I like the visuals, they have a certain charm to them. Also, this is more like a personal problem of mine, but whenever I see "horror" on the game tags, I'm very hesitant to try it out (I'm VERY easy to scare :D). This one is thematically horror though, and I really enjoyed it.

Cheers!

Well done on the mix of art styles, blends together well. Good submission :)

That's a cool concept! And I like the vibe you're cooking up. I did have some trouble determining exactly how I should go about things and it felt like there were a lot of guys to manage in a really short time. I think some more work on this would be worth it and fun! Keep it up!

Love the aesthetic! Nice combination of 2D sprites and 3D assets.

Fun game with a spooky vibe. AI issues and clunky gameplay didn't overshadow the excitement. A few UI tweaks could enhance playability.

Hee-ho. Beautiful game. Cool experience. Thank you

Very fun! A few bugs and AI gets stuck sometimes but it didn't ruin the fun for me.

I think adding UI indicators like what needs a repair/barricade or just health bars would be a huge quality of life improvement (instead of having to mouseover every doorway to find a breach).

Opening graphics are rad...gameplay is super clunky though and despite having expositional dialogue, I did not feel that it really touched the essence of what the player is expected to do. There is too many guys to control many of whom died before I was aware of their existence but the game actually became easier when I only had 2-3 guys since I just barricaded and repaired the entry ways of one building each and "won" the game without ever finding a use for the fuel cans or futzing with the generator at all - not sure if that was intentional or if there was something I was supposed to do. Saw a medkit and what I thought looked like an axe but was not able to discern if they were interactable or not...as my only tangible options were only ever repair or barricade

Developer

Thanks for playing and your feedback. I indeed wanted to let player discover by himself that the storm is not the real problem (surely a bit unfair). The real goal would be to save a maximum of guys, but I did not focus on that, as there was (as you saw) other things to fix. You can give weapon to citizen  to defend themselves, and even attack with right-click (forget to mention it)

Really cool concept! Maybe I would have added 3D models for the survivors and slow down a bit the game. Overall great work :)

Interesting concept! I think game needs to be slowed down little bit, its really hard to understand what can be done before first night comes. Is this intended that the survivors start circling in rooms? Often survivors block eachother, unable to do tasks and also I was unable to pick up objects from dead survivors. But the game vibe and atmosphere is really good and chilly.

Thanks for playing and your feedbacks. Agree with you for the pace, and the several clunky things.

Aaaaand I got nightmares now. xD
Pathing gets a bit janky between the villagers, but other than that, that was a properly spooky game. The fact that you can barely see the enemies at all really creates a great horror vibe. No fear is greater than that of the unknown.

As a horror fan, I really appreciated this game!

Thank you for the feesback. Glad you enjoy the game !

The core gameplay loop of this game was amazing. In the first run I did I managed to save six people, and it was mainly so low as I was still getting used to the controls. Something that would help is a longer first day for you to get used to the controls, a way of telling how long until night and what night you're on would also be nice. It was also so dark I could only see the enemies when the sun came up, would have been nice to have a more solid idea of what I was up against. Also, sometimes villagers would get stuck behind the barricade option and without a way to rotate the camera it was hard to select them. Despite all this I still had a ton of fun, the opening sequence with the camera movements was excellently crafted, and the most important part was that the game was a lot of fun to play. If this game was fully fleshed out beyond a game jam I would certainly play it again!

Thanks for playing and your feedbacks. Totally agree with you, but I ran out of time (even with a whole week).  For the darkness, it was done on purpose. There is an Electric Generator that you need to switch on to get the lights on at night, but need to preserve is fuel. It was surely no enough highlighted.
