good job

you achieved a really good gameplay loop and can really turn it into a great game with some more polish. The music goes well with the game and its pretty fun and exciting when starting a new playthrough as everything is decided by the RNG god.

Kudos to making a good game!!

thanks !

I love what you've done here! My best is 44 - I like that no two matches are the same, it's really good to have replayablity like that. There's a bit rng and it feels like 11 turns instead of 10 but that just makes it a little more fair. Being an emergence-puzzle game it does its job in challenging my brain, which I love as a strategy enjoyer. My only desire would be a few more tile types.

I like the concept but it's a bit heavy on RNG, as there are times when victory is not achievable. Though even some of my most lucky runs required strategy to win, I think you got something here!

Developer

Hello, yes maybe to limit the bad RNG, I should add a guaranteed spawn of a special tile near the village. Thanks for your feedback this is very helpfull!

I like the concept of the game, overall a nice work. Good Luck!

You should definitely make it clear that you have to play it in fullscreen, some of the UI is just gone.

The actual game and idea is pretty clever and I like it, good job :)

Developer(+1)

yes you right, I have already try to corrige this by writting "play in fullscreen" in the description. also i tried too force the launch of the game in fullscreen with the itchio option :

but it didn’t work as I thought it would.

Thanks for your feedback ! this help a lot

Cute game! Played it twice, won the first time and failed the second time. feels very heavily based on RNG and the distribution of things on the map. I really like the various mechanics and how they interact with each other, like food, wood and visibility

Cool little game! I like the concept of preparing for the frost, it reminds me of Minesweeper in the idea of revealing hidden areas. It would be interesting to have some hazards, but for a beginner's project or something made in a rush, it's nice!

thanks, for your comment

The concept is it-self works well. It lacks some animations, it also need some UI work, use image for resources instead of world, and put them on the tile it-self or on a hover panel., etc...
I like the explore mechanic.
Overall well done.

Thanks for your feedback. All of these tips are really helpful!

I thought the strategy with the grid and the different effects things had on gameplay was pretty fun! I think the descriptions could use some clarification, for example it says you can claim this to get 1 WOOD, and then the button on that same panel says "2 FOOD".

Also it's not too clear whether you are in a turn, whether claiming worked or not or what it did, but if I pay close attention I guess I could keep track of it. I am not exactly sure how to win though for now.

Nice job on the game though, it's unique and interesting.

Developer

Hi, the amount of resources mentioned on the button is the 'claim cost.' However, I didn't specify what this amount refers to (oops). Thanks for your feedback, it is very helpful!

Really cool idea! It was fun trying to balance how much food and wood I had and unlocking as many +1 food per turn things as possible all while trying to explore the map. It took me a few tries to really lock in a strategy, but I ended up winning with 30/25 food. It'd be nice if it told you somewhere how much food and wood you were gonna get each turn to help strategize. The fact that you started on Thursday and still got this submitted is very impressive, fantastic job!

Developer

yes show the income its a very good idea, thanks for your feedback :D and wp for your win !

Submitted

I don't know how you can win no matter what I discover from exploring I can't get more then 1 food a turn.

Developer

Hi, it's because when you discover a resource, it won't provide any benefits until you claim the land. You can see the claim cost and the income the resource will provide by clicking on the tile, all the information will appear at the bottom right. Thanks for your feedback ! I'll see how I can make it clearer.

I kinda wish you didn’t have your technical problem, cause the small work you present here is more than decent and I wish there was more to it. Good job!
