I don't know how you can win no matter what I discover from exploring I can't get more then 1 food a turn.
Hi, it's because when you discover a resource, it won't provide any benefits until you claim the land. You can see the claim cost and the income the resource will provide by clicking on the tile, all the information will appear at the bottom right. Thanks for your feedback ! I'll see how I can make it clearer.

Simple idea that can really go far! I didnt expect to play for so long at first when I saw the minimalistic square boxes but I was pleasantly proven wrong xD Great stuff!!
