How does your game fit the theme?
kinda doesnt it mean calm before something bad happens
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
some of it they were by tutorials or my friend but mostly me and the art were by my friend GMAbdullah

Cool art style and sound effects. Loved the background too. Took a minute to get to where I kinda knew what I was supposed to do. Great work! Congrats and good luck!
Cool game, came across a couple of bugs (pun intended), but overall decent job!
You can check out my game here too - https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973778#post-10920603
pretty fun game, i did find a few spots that were either inescapable or had ladder physics where there was no ladder; other than that it was pretty good (also the ant voices lol)
I like the design and the sound effects. Not so much my type of game but that is not your fault. Good job on getting it done. The reset when dying from the spider is a bit extreme, especially when you have no indication of your own health to try and fight.
Fun submission! I would say that I would have liked the camera zoom to be out a little bit more, it made things a little hard to navigate, and I think being able to see more of the world at once would have helped out a lot. Thank you for posting in the thread!
Great effort, and impressed you did all that in the time allowed. I did fall into a pit in the sandy area though, which I could not escape. But overall good work.
sprites are clean and simple wasnt able to fall inside the mines but i liked the controls
Funny sounding ants
Jumpscare spiders
Minecraft sounds
A fantastic entry for a weeks work, good job!
Cute game although there seem to be a few gamebreaking bugs. First playthrough I did not use the ladder to go into the mines and simply fell and it resulted in me clipping through ground and getting stuck there. On my second playthrough after the 2 miles text I fell into a send pit a presume and could not get out of there. Otherwise seemed like an interesting plot.
The game is a good entry for such a young person. It does control a bit floaty, dialog system skips text and the art needs more work, yet the ants are very cute and the game is fun, like a quest from the old graphical adventure games.
For 11, this is great work. I could not have conceived this at that age, so really impressed. I did run into a couple bugs, one main one being that I fell into the mines and could not escape. Had to restart the game to continue. I also think that the various different art styles included kind of clashed, and would recommend trying to unify them in some way in the future. Either way, excellent job for a first jam, and excited to see what you make in the future.
If you're really 11, this is very good work! There are quite a few problems:
- Falling into a sand pit without being able to go back to checkpoint is a big one (didn't happen to me, saw it on the stream).
- Also, after pressing the switch, the doorway didn't open fully, so I couldn't get through and had to stop there.
- The weapon's movement was strange, so I wasn't sure when exactly I was attacking, it seemed like it happened about a second after I pressed the attack button.
Those are the three biggest problems I saw. There are also tons of tiny decision things you could do to improve your game, but you'll likely learn them if you just keep making games. Good luck on your future projects!
