Fun game, the art is fantastic! I like the different things you could do with your companions. It feels a bit weird to be able to walk through the trees and rocks. Sometimes the enemies did not do anything at all and I could just kill them easily. Overall, it's a good game!
I found the rock and trees thing a bit weird too myself. I kind of went overboard on the 'decorations' and sacrificed time working on other things, like how enemies just freeze up sometimes. Thank you for the feedback!
The game feels good, the art looks great and I like the way you implemented the theme! I wished there were more enemy types, but overall great job!
oh thank you! I do want to add more enemies (but I may or may not redesign the characters and enemies (again)). Along with new enemies I also want some new minions! Thank you for the comment :)
I loved this! Really great use of the theme and really fun to accumulate an army in sandbox mode.
Thank you! Yes, hopefully I can transfer that fun to the main game too.
Really good concept! The music only came out from one for me (Which was quite bugging), the font felt out of place, maybe using a more pixelated one would have been better, the sprites are really well made but some in game tutorials would have been good to teach the controls. Other than that the game feels pretty good
yeah! I get the sound comment a lot. Certainly something I have to watch for in the future. My biggest weakness lie in UI aspects and level design, which I really really should work on more. Thank you for the great feedback!
Neat idea for the theme I like using your friend for puzzles and for combat, i did find i could run past all the enemies and the guy would disappear or not turn up when i called. Other than those I thought this has great potential and i could see this as a cool exploration game like hyper light drifter or zelda :)
aw thank you! I do want to incorporate some more puzzles and such in the future. Speaking of amazing games, I was aiming for Moonlighter! If you can tell from the style I was going for too. Thank you again for the great feedback :)
I liked your game and it fits the theme well! Art and sound was great! I also like the smileys when you call your minions too you! It would be cool to see this still be developed with more bad guys, different types of minions and so forth!
Oh definitely! I want to make more minions and more enemies to make that end game army even more satisfying~
Fun to play :)
Why thank you :D
Really cool game! Love the idea of the minions fighting for you and defending you. However, I find that the tutorial isn't really clear, what are enemies, where my minions are. The game is also very short, not that it's a bad thing... I can just run through and block the bullets and instantly finish the level. The art is really nice tho, well done for that, the music is really fitting and the sound effects are quite funny as well. Love the game overall.
Aw I really do regret making the game so short and the tutorial unclear. But I'm glad you enjoyed. And I'm happy you like the art! The art took up most of my time. Thank you for playing and for the constructive feedback :)
Interesting! It reminds me of Million of Minions. I would have like to see the theme more present... slime monster and the snake should have had unique powers that could work together better with Llucks as opposed to them all becoming minions. Also spamming spacebar to call the minion after defeating them seemed buggy at times. The music choice was nice but some attack sfx would have been appreciated. All in all pretty good!
Oh certainly! I would have loved to make more minions than just Llucks and mini Orcens. But I got to this certain point where I overcomplicated the code for the minions and enemies, it got really hard to keep readjusting certain stuff and yes it got realll buggy. But I've already got some new minions and enemies on the works for after the jam :)
Oh also thank you very much for pointing me towards Million of Minions! I did not know about this game but it looks like exactly what I wanted to go for.
Art style and game play was cool! Would like to see to see more levels!
I think I found a bug when attacking the slimes, my friends seem to disappear but then return, so I wasn't too sure what was going on. Though it didn't take away from the enjoyment of amassing a large army of critters :D
Thank you for the support! Oh I certainly want to make more levels :) I wanted to do some procedural generation tricks but I simply did not have enough time to both learn and implement them.
Oh they're meant to 'get hurt' and 'die off' but being the necromancer, you just bring them back to life in a short bit. Sort of to limit your army strength just a teensy bit.
I love love love the art style!
Thank you!!! :)
the story was very cute, and the art was very good! however, i was a little unclear on how to use lluck, but great job!
Haha, I really need to clarify the instructions more. Some drawings probably would help a whole lot. Thank you for your feedback :)
Fun game, I like the style of this game!
Oh thank you! I spent way too much time trying to get the world and characters to look just right. Way too much time, so I'm glad to see
I didn't really understand what to do in story mode, and kind of just ran through everything, only using lluck to block projectiles, as when I tried to attack slimes with him the slimes just ate him up.
Sandbox mode was fun though, I liked the feeling of having your own army, and maybe you do get that army in story mode, but, I'm sorry, I never got to experience that, I was confused.
Lluks was supposed to be 'immortal' so that you could beat the first slime no problem to get your next minion. Unfortunately I wasn't able to upload the 'fixed' version in time.
I'm happy you enjoyed the sandbox mode somewhat. I left it in there specifically so you can see what I was trying to go for, but couldn't accomplish in the story mode. Thank you for the feedback nonetheless :)
Cheers! :)
This was a really nice and interesting short game. My lluck sometimes refused to follow me sometimes on my journey and it kept getting eaten by the bush :c Overall though, this game from gameplay to to art to music was awesome!
Oh no! Maybe you just need to press space a few more times near him before he follows you again. Thank you for the kind words!
Yeah it ended up following me again after I pressed spacebar while close to it. It was being a bit naughty lool
Nice graphics and interesting game mechanics! I definitely struggled to kill the first couple of enemies but eventually got the hang of it
Thank you! Well it's supposed to be a struggle at first, but then you will be 'Stronger Together' haha.
It's really nice ! I had the same issue as others with the audio being only in my left ear but it didn't bother me that much.
The graphics are really cool ! However, is it intentionnal that the slimes kind of blend with the bushes in terms of color ? The fact they're both green and round (with sometimes the white details for the bushes) make them pretty hard to spot at first when you don't expect them. It took me a second to realize what was happening haha
Also, i wasn't so fond of the font choice which was a bit too "smooth" and "modern" for the artstyle in my opinion.
I know i'm just pointing out negative things but overall I really found it fun and well made and it really fits the theme ! Good job !
Thank you! You have some really good points. I did at first want the slimes to like 'hide' in the scenery but I feel like I ended up implementing that poorly. It's not a stealth game by any means haha.
yeah... its really easy to see where I get lazy. I wanted to experiment with a shader that makes e v e r y t h i n g look pixelated, but I wasn't able to pull that off either. I should have at least chosen a pixely font but I just couldn't find one that I wanted.
The criticisms are very much welcome :) It's good to know what parts I should work on. So thank you for the great feedback!
YOur game looks really pretty!
Thank you so much! I worked pretty hard for the graphics of the game :) I'm really glad that people like it.
