In what way does your game fit the theme?
Bullet hells are probably the most obvious answer for the theme. Bullets hells are very chaotic, right? But the player is often very slow-moving, very calm, in spite of all the chaos around them, because it's easier to manage. Even though there might be a lot of things on the screen, you just have to focus on yourself and let the chaos exist.
So for me, it's a very interesting design challenge. We have this genre that's very crazy, tons of stuff happening. I wanted to take this as an opportunity to study and try out different patterns and groups of enemies. It's very easy to throw a bunch of enemies on the screen and call it a bullet hell; it's much harder to make it fun. I made sure to add as little RNG as I could - I can guarantee that there is never an unwinnable situation, and it lets me more easily control the types of patterns that come out and the space the player is allowed to be in.
On top of that, I added the sync system, incentivizing the player to play a little more aggressively, and the score system, which is my way of adjusting the difficulty curve. You're given higher score based on the amount of bullets on screen (logarithmically), so more experienced players can let enemies survive for longer, creating more chaos.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all but the spline code, which I implemented based on CatLikeCoding.

nice chaotic game :D
Pretty solid game. It was a bullet hell but didn't feel unfair. Would have liked to see more animation. Also the restart button and full screen toggle didn't work for me. Over all loved the music and how smooth the movement felt.
Fun game and so chaotic with all of the bullets, enjoyed it a lot!
I loved the fact that the hit box is only the "heart" of the player and the sync factor was pretty cool with mechanic
This game is right up my alley, I think you did a good job with the different spread of bullets and there werent any "walls" that i could see (undodgeable bullet cluster). i might try again later to beat it :) maybe you could spend some more time on the visual to make the bullets have a little glow as well as make the hitbox a little more contrasting.
It'd be nice to have a difficulty setting but otherwise I really like the graphics music and the backstory is a nice touch :-)
Very Cool Game
Chaotic yet satisfying(especially when you clear all the bullets around you)
I don't know if this is a bug or just your design, but the bullets pass through her a lot
I probably should've made it clearer in-game, her hitbox is actually only the pink square in the middle of her sprite, so that's probably why.
I nice game with a good story. I love the music.
I like the backstory and the gameplay of your game.
It will be cool if there are different difficulty levels for casual and hardcore players. ;)
Also if you want you can check my game i will be very appreciated.
Hey u did a great job in this game but the game is too hard to play that it (if can pls give a rating to my game).
Hey Neia! Great job here! I have to admit that I'm a little relieved you didn't make me play this on stream the other day because, as I expected, I am terrible at this type of game! I felt a little more confident after giving it a few goes and even almost killed the (first?) boss. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but the bullet hitboxes felt really forgiving, which I appreciated. The audio was great, too. The effect when you got hit and the screen cleared was equally alarming and relieving. I just wish I were better at these to be able to try out more! Congrats on finishing the jam :)
Yeah, the player's hitbox is actually very extremely small, which might not be super clear to people not familiar with the genre. Her hitbox is actually contained within the little pink square in the middle of her body. The thin bullets hitboxes are offset forward, and everything's hitbox is slightly smaller than it would seem. Thanks for the comment!
hypnotic song, good work, nice atmosphere

Loved the style of the game and the character was the thing I loved most! the music is great and the game has a lovely name. The game is pretty fun and chaotic!
Pew pew pew :) bullet hell galore :).
Tricky game, but i had a lot of fun battling through it! :)
Don't think i fully understand about lives, and spirit etc.
I loved the art feel of the whole game. Great job!
Great game! I encountered a bug where trying to start again resulted in your character staying in place and enemies not spawning. Other than that I liked the gameplay and aesthetics.
Yes!!! This was incredible!! I love games like RaidenX and things like that so once I realized what kind of game this was I felt super excited! This was really well made with a nice variety of types of bullets and enemies! Great job and wonderful graphics and soundtrack as well!
Reallyyyyyyyyyy fun game, sound effects are great, the collision on the bullets feels a little off that they are sometimes not registering the bullets hitting the player, fun game though, good work!!
REALLY FUN! the music and sound effects are also pretty nice! There are a couple of bugs here and there, but other than that its a really nice game!
