Love the graphics here,  animations and sprites are fantastic! The addition of getting to choose your player sprite was very cute (sunglasses zombie is the best of course). I will say the "HELP ME" SFX kinda got graining after awhile, maybe limit the use of that sound effect or find some variation for it! Overall well done!

Really cool pixel art, loved that title! I think some of the human movement was a little buggy where sometimes they get stuck or they can attach to you while you are stunned. I liked the animation where the humans fall into the hole.
Also, the sound effects were really funny lol, did you make them yourself?

Developer

Yea I made them myself and I just used a pitch shifter. I'm glad you liked the game! :D

Fun game! Multiple "help me"s gets annoying quickly and could do with more goals.

Brain farming, fun! (Don't take that one out of context) The gameplay does get a little monotonous after a while, but other than that it's a solid entry. Great job!

Really fun game! I thought the audio was fun and once I understood the gameplay I had a really fun time trying to intercept the little dudes. I think some music and a brief tutorial would go a long way but otherwise great submission!

Cute little game! It's a funny twist to not eat humans, but throw them in a hole ^^. I liked your little universe, the concept of a "human farm managed by zombies" is something I would love to see expanded upon (storywise, not in real life xD).

The graphics are cute and, gosh, you have a character selection screen. Who makes a character selection with multiple skins in a 7-days jam, you madman xD.

The gameplay is simple, but quite fun. I enjoyed the concept, and spent a good chunk of time chasing the humans =p. But it is maybe a bit too easy. I had to stop playing because the game never ended: throwing people in the hole gained more time that it took me to chase them, resulting in an endless loop xD. I would have liked some obstacles, maybe some SWAT-like humans that knocks you, even empty-handed, to make you lose time, and the longer the game, the more there are? I don't know, but the difficulty curve needs to go higher ^^.

The sound design is hilarious! I really appreciate the little voices, even though the high-pitched screams were maybe a bit too present. It is just a question of fine-tuning, but I would make them a bit less frequent, and maybe randomize the pitch a little bit, so it's never the same voice (it is a value to set in Unity AudioClips, so not a big timeloss in a game jam =D). But hey, that's still a very nice attention to sound design, and I love to see that much care to it, it is rare in jam games.

Overall, that's a quite good entry! Of course, there are some little tweaks possible here and there, but for me, that's what jams are for: finding little ways to improve our game making skills ^^. But that doesn't hide the fact that it's a nice concept that I had fun playing with, so congratulations =)!

Developer

THat was quite a mouthful. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I agree with you on most points especially the difficulty curve.

Cute game!

Free-range brains, and organic sound effects. The vocalized sounds were a nice touch, and kept me smilin'. I can understand why all the "help me"s might be grating to some folks, but I thought they were charming. You've got me wondering what's in the hole, that can crack open a skull so fast.

This was so cool|! Great to actually play as the zombie instead of be running from them for once! Got a score of 3100! Would have loved to have seen some more sophisticated AI that ran and cowered from you instead of having set "patterns" they'd run. Overall, I had a good time with it though, not too long which is always good. Some sound effects could have been improved slightly since there were a lot of them that were repeated with not much variation but overall it was a good bit of fun. Great job

A lot of fun. Interesting game design. Personally found the sound effect of 'help me' to become annoying after it is repeated so much.

This was a lot of fun! There's no shortage of Zombies in video games, but you've found a really fresh take on them. The loop is simple and easy to learn, but still stays enjoyable to play over and over. You've built a really solid foundation that I think you could use to flesh out this concept even further. I can imagine this game having more levels, co-op and competitive modes, powerups, different zombie abilities, more threatening humans, and more. Even if you never worked on this again though it's wonderful as is. Great work!

The "Help Me!" did get a bit repetitive as has been said in the comments, but to be honest it also fuelled my desire to keep throwing the humans into the void, so, I think it worked as intended by the end! Customising my zombie was also a nice little touch.

Great little arcade submission!

Fun arcade style game. The "Help Me!" got a bit much though.

I like the visuals, the sounds can be a bit too much at times (when there are too many zombies on the screen), the concept is creative - usually we are on the other side of the battle, but that makes me think that a game where you play as zombies instead of humans could be pretty cool.

I think the game could be more dynamic if you were able to move a bit faster and maybe have a dash movement or something (to catch the humans who just escape your grasp when you're walking), but overall I had a fun time playing it. Good job!

Hello, i dont know if you would update the game as it was for a Game Jam. but here is a bit of feedback. The visuals are really nice, its nice that you can choose a character.

what i dont like is that se spawn rate of the Zombies is a bit to fast. so you get quite overwhelmed and you get a sound spam of the Zombies. Maybe it would be nice to have a small pause menu where you can change the volume. also the movement of the player is a bit slow therefore i get often stuck in I Frames while get bombarded by the Zombies.

Overall a nice game i really like the visuals and the Idea is really nice, that have potential.

3908 for my best score with 40 brains I don't understand why I don't have 4000 🤷‍♀️
How I can lose score ? When i'm hit by human ?

Otherwise nice and pretty game, I had fun playing it, good job! Graphics are really cute and the human sounds even if they are quickly annoying they are quite funny ! 😄

Developer

Impressive score! Yes you can lose score by being hit by humans.

Cool game with nice visuals and good premis only think is that audio of peple screaming gets annoying really fast. Great game. :)

High score of 1300!

Awesome game! The visuals are so cute and clean. The fact that you provided different playable skins was a really nice touch that impressed me right from the start! The controls and objective were well communicated and easy to execute which I appreciated. I thought it was fun and well made!

Throwing humans into a pit, yep I enjoyed that!   Neat take on the theme!  The human sounds got a bit too much if there were a bunch on the screen, maybe adding an offset delay in the sound trigger or reducing the pitch.  Love the variety in playable characters and the visuals.  Movement speed of the main character felt a touch slow.  I know its a zombie and they are slow but I found myself just missing a human quite often.  Overall great job!

This was absurdly fun. I love the details like the different hair on the humans and their little screams. Definitely the best game I've seen so far!
