Super game. Comes very close to a real game. One of the much better games at the Jam and one of my favorites.

The only suggestion I have is that the camera movement after the death could be made a little faster.

That was a lot of fun! I want to see more, please keep it up. Would be great to add more things like air (i think i only found one air tank) or other power ups within the route.

One of the few games that are just perfect. Flawless game!
Perhaps you could increase the game length by implementing requiring other elements too.

thanks for such high praise. We'd love to add tons more to the game!

Good game bro.

With 9 Sacrifices I made it out alive this game was a really fun and fresh take on the theme with some strong polish, I thoroughly enjoyed playing and traversing the environment the controls felt very good and the grapple was a nice addition to deal with the mines. The UI and character design was simple but very effective it was clear to read what was happening and the kinda cute/friendly aesthetic of the crew accompanied by the death lines made for a nice sense of brief attachment to the crew members with a lighthearted ending to each one. The intro and and outro was a nice addition and tied everything together overall very fun and cohesive game one of my favourites so far!

Suggestions for development: I would like to see the laser developed further or maybe have different types that specialise for different scenarios or minerals It would also be cool to have some sort of native creatures in the caves that try to attack you/protect their home/burrows if you venture too close, this could give incentive to have an attack based laser.

Thanks a bunch for the high praise! We really appreciate reviews like these as they help us understand better where our game, and future ones, can be improved!

Great game! Very polished and fun. I feel like there should be more dangers/obstacles in the exploring or otherwise it's just a big grind? A fun grind for sure for a jam game! Really great job overall!

Developer(+1)

Absolutely. That's what of the things we were worries about the most. If we had a little more time we would have loved to add in some more obstacles and enemies.

A pretty fun and polished mining game! Tho I’m glad to see more elements on top of the mining sim, maybe some hidden ancient civilization … well that’s too much lol

The hook feels great!

This is one of the best games I've seen so far. It feels really polished, short, yet full of content. It doesn't feel boring at all throughout my run. I found out about an exploit with the grappling hook that would be very interesting to do when you want to travel downwards quickly. The game has a lot of potential for further development as well - more obstacles, an ecosystem with creatures that can help/affect the operation, more resources to manage (for the whole ship to stay alive, not just the gold).

Other than that, the graphics and audio is amazing. Can't really find anything to nitpick about.

Developer

Thanks for the in depth review, high praise and the improvement suggestions! Much appreciated :D

So this is what happens to crewmates that get voted out!

Fun and nice game check out mine as well

Fun game! I like grapple and magnet the ores, these makes game more smooth.

Submitted(+1)

Fun game. I loved seeing the bodies of past attempts.  I liked the dialogue when the crew members died.

Submitted(+1)

Good game, tough I would've liked an option to return to the ship once you have 1000 gold just for not sacrificing another crewmate :'(

This game is really fun and the art is really nice. The grappling hook didn't seem to work, but it might just be the trackpad.

Developer

That's a shame! We haven't heard of any issues with the grappling hook, so perhaps it is the trackpad? But, that shouldn't be the case.. Apologies for that!

such a perfect entity. the most completed and polished game I have played so far.

Submitted(+1)

Wow! this game was so satisfying and polished :) i found myself playing it for quite a while

Submitted(+1)

Nice Game! Got out of bounds on the top left, loved that. Sadly no Win-Con

Developer

Oh wow! Definitely not intended that.. Thanks for playing!

Fabulous Game, loved the sound design, movement options and hidden references lmao
Also I've tried destroying every single destructible block, but I was too lazy... Is there some kind of reward/secret/easter egg for doing that?

Developer(+1)

No, there's not any Easter eggs but that would have been really cool! We'll pocket that idea for the next game!

"Florida Man Destroys Entire Planet For No Apparent Reason"
that would make for a banger news title

Developer(+1)

Hahaha, Brilliant, I'd read it.

Nice game! I feel like after death camera should return a bit faster, especially if death happened far from the ship. But other than this it is great and well polished, and I enjoyed playing your game!
