Good concept and great graphics! However, I feel like the scenery is too small to move around, which unintentionally adds a lot of difficulty that may affect the fun. Nevertheless, it is a really creative application of the theme, with stunning graphics and great audio. Great job!
Wow, the artwork and animations in this are so vibrant and expressive! I would really love to learn more about the world it takes place in and what the deal is with these animal characters. It has that lovely old school animation feel to it. I did have a very tough time with the gameplay, though. The character's hitbox seems a little too big, and having to jump to dodge the hang pound wave was nearly impossible for me. I would work on refining the difficulty curve a bit more, but this is certainly a wonderful start for a game. Great work!
I liked this! The art turned out super nice! I will say, it was insanely hard and a lot of times I felt like I didn't actually take damage that I received.
Crazy concept meets amazing art, i don’t know what you were smoking but it probably wasn’t just tobacco :p
Okay sorry, stupid joke aside…
The spritework and animation look amazing, the music is nice, and both the concept and main mechanic are quite unique to say the least.
My only gripe is the difficulty, i feel like the frog’s hitbox seems a bit unclear, i suppose it’s the full sprite ? but this feels way to big to squeeze between some of the pattern gaps :(
Now with that said still it’s a fun use of the theme with how surreal the premise is XD
I like it ! Mechanic with cigarette is satisfying , I think it is a bit difficult but overall good job!
Love the graphics, can't believe you made two bullet hells in one game, the boss fights are definitely difficult and its fun to learn the patterns. The only thing is I wish I frames were a little bit more forgiving, and that the bullets went away after you beat the boss, otherwise, great job, its a beautiful game and a fun concept.
I like the style and the art is quite nice, well done!
Very cool! The art is awesome and I really liked the idea, the mechanics of releasing smoke is very satisfying. Great job!
I love the art. It's really well done. I like what you did the theme with the cigarettes as ammo and health. I found it rewarding to learn the enemies attack patterns. I think it's difficult if you don't understand them, but once you learn their patterns it's easy dodge. It took me two runs to beat. There's this window of time at the start of each battle where there aren't many bullets, which makes it easy to cheese send a lot of damage at the start and skip a lot of the first phase of each fight. Especially with the pig (with the name I couldn't pronounce). Love the extra mile you went with adding the extra surprise at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed giving the enemies lung cancer! Good job!
Thanks for your feedback ! In fact the pig's name means sausage in french and it's prononce like "sow - sis". First feedbacks said that the game was too complicated so I'm glad that some people finish it anyway.
Unique take on the genre. Found it to be pretty difficult, might be nice to soften the curve at the beginning to hook people. I liked the hat as a shield, that was really cute. Nice work.
That was tough also, what the heck was that reward? Another game inside a game??? I was not expecting this!
Had a good time with it! Awesome intro! And the art style is charming!
If I had to give a piece of criticism, I'd say the hitbox is too big for this sort of game, you're allowed to lie a bit to the player on game like this. Good job overall.
195 ?! Not bad I'm not sure I've ever done better... Thanks for your feedback !
The art is really good. It's difficult but that's okey. Good luck!
The art is sooo good! And the controls are amazing. I was immediately hooked! The only issue is the game is pretty punishing... the hit box is a little too big I think and you don't seem to get any real iframes after taking a hit so it can be a little frustrating. Easy to fix though and everything else was so incredible. Well done :)
Well done, really nice game. Love the boss art.
Great art, but ruthless gameplay ! I never found a way to reliably kill the first boss, I kept getting hit by random drops. I think hitboxes are a bit too big in general, making it really hard to consistently dodge.
But great job at implementing boss fights, the animations are really good !
Being superbad at games like this, I still really liked the art and animations. Great aesthetics and sounds!
Really challenging! I managed to win with just a bit of my last cigarette left, it was very engaging. Loved the graphics, and the minigame at the end was a nice touch too. Just a suggestion, I would add some sort of invincibility after you get hit, as I often found myself dying immediately from getting hit twice
Cool concept and aesthetic. One of the more fun games out there in this jam.
Very good game, great art, love the Cuphead inspiration, gameplay is fun and challenging. Use of the theme could use some work, right now there's no reason not to use your lives to attack, after all, you cant beat the boss without attacking. If i was to make a suggestion on the mechanic I would say have the boss go down on a time limit, with the damage the boss takes speeding up the time till there defeated. that would mean using your attack is a rewarding gamble, do i waste some of my life and risk it all to defeat this boss before I die? either that or just add boss checkpoints. Anyway enough rambling, your game is great, had a lot of fun playing it.
Is the game set to private? the thumbnail looks cool
Thank you very much, indeed I had left my project in private... thank you really !
