The isometric perspective and art are neat! I like the variety of weapons and level designs you implemented.

Background art is great for the menu. The coins are a unique take on the consequences idea. Nice submission

The average game. The game lacks visual, the theme of the game is not used, the music is average. Character management is not very convenient. The opponents are of the same type. WHERE ARE THE FISH IN THE OCEAN, WHAT CUBES)))) I will be grateful if you play my game and leave your opinion.

Nice submission! The visuals stand out by far for me, like others have said. Movement felt really good in this game. Keep up the great work!

Good game! I liked the visuals and the gameplay. Nice work!

Cool game! Perspective made me kind of nauseaus, but maybe I'm just tired :D I feel like shooting is a bit off, it was hard to aim diagonally

Lots of comments already mention the circle around the wall strat to just perma dodge all enemy shots---so I have a different thing: the difficulty increase.  From a shotgun, three shot, lots of bullets to the single shot thing.  I think better to make the enemy just have more life, and let you shoot a lot then one bullet.  That's just me.  I like to spray, it feels more fun than sniping in a bullet hell.  So the outcome should be the same with the enemies just having more life, but we get to feeeeeeeeeeel like we are doing more than just missing our once every three second single shot sniper.  Good job and keep up the good work =)

I ALSO LIKED FEELING LIKE I WAS SHOOTING BOBA XD

Developer

Thanks for playing and the great advice!

As with many things we ran out of time for balancing properly, but I really like your suggestions and will add them to the balancing work sheet :)

Rather easy to run to a wall and then circle strafe all enemies. Might be more interesting if one enemy type leads their shots. It controls fine, just not a lot to it.

Developer

Indeed, it occurred to us as well which is why playing a lot of the other games has been great for thinking of alternative ways of designing the levels and enemies :)

Thanks for playing!

Graphic is simple but cute and sounds are nice. The only issue for me is that the gameplay is a little bit "flat", you can just run in circle to dodge all the bullets. Nice job anyway!

Picture with sharks! Haha :D
- i really like this simple art style - it's fit very nice

- good music - chillin there

- betting in this game has incredible potential to grow in the future!

Some feedback for help:

- a bit aiming and shooting is off

- maybe some more pattern of shooting enemies? Mostly i was just making circles and it was enough

Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, improving aim and shooting patterns are definitely on top of the feature list for upcoming releases :)

Really cool isometric arena shooter, i dig the concept of risk reward, with the entry fee to difficulties but you have a higher potential gain from it.

The movement controls and mouse aiming are solid however i had some small issues.

Bullets don’t seem to go exactly where the cursor is because of the perspective, which can make aiming while on the move a bit impresise at times, maybe have a sort of line from the gun or a 3d cursor on the floor of the actual map follow the cursor to get a better idea of where bullets go with the perspective. And the single shot slower firing gun of the medium difficulty levels make thigs a bit boring i.m.o the other 2 weapons are way better and more fun to use.

Other than that it’s a cool game and i had fun trying it, i even tried playng a few levels on hard mode and managed to reach the 3000 coins :D

and apparently unity crashed at the end :p

Regardless well done ^^

Thanks a lot for playing and all the feedback!

Yea, we realised that the aim is off due to the perspective/camera during our final play throughs and didn't have time to debug it.

The list of bugs to fix and improvements to implement keep growing :D

Haha i know the feel no worries for a jam what’s there is already quite good :)

As much as the arena sections are visually more rudimentary and simple compared to the other parts of the game, I actually thought the art for the arena sections was cute and fun and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Especially the cube guys I think those goobs were lovely. The simpicity in the shapes and the palette are very apealling to me in a pleasing and almost relaxing way.

I did wish the arena sections had a bit more visual feedback when it came to the player's actions, specifically when it came to the dash. When I tried to use the dash I wasn't sure if the player character was faster than usual or not, and because of that I ended spamming it mindlessly, which is a shame because I think dashes in video games are great for game feel. I would suggest maybe adding a ghost trail like Celeste or just a trail in general next time you put a dash mechanic into a video game because I think it would help a lot when it comes to game feel.

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Great feedback, I'll add it to the feature list.

Collected 3000 coins and became the champion.. I guess?

I have the feeling that the color palette of arena is kinda like mint-chocolate... dessert-themed cube tank would be awesome!

Developer

Ooooh, thats food for thought...

Thanks for playing!

Bullets should go where i click

Developer

Yup, I agree :)

We realised it a bit too late to fix, but aim to improve it in post-jam releases

the gun doesn't hit where you point your mouse

Developer

man, you fooled me with the pixel art main menu HAHAHAHA. the game is neat and very playable

Developer

Haha, yea we focused too much on getting as many of our features in on time so we didn't get around to unifying the art style XD

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

hahaha wow wtf, i feel like i was catfished by the screenshots and the menu!

the game itself did feel great! Buttt,  it's more like cube tanks instead of atlastis?

Developer

Lol!

Yea, we started out aiming to make it pixel art but soon switched over to isometric 3D and never got around to unifying the art style.

Glad you liked it though! :)

Great work! I found the Hard difficulty easier than the medium because my aim was so poor with the medium gun haha. An indicator, like a flash or particle effects, to show when the enemies received damage would have helped me. I wasn't sure if i was actually hitting enemies or not for a while in the beginning. Nice submission :)

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the great feedback, I'll put them high up on our feature list for the Post Jam release :)

Very nice use of theme for difficulty modifier.

Developer

Thank you :)
