This was a solid game all the way through way. You should be proud of this!

Impressive graphics and audio!

I succeeded to beat the Final Boss in my 2nd run! Cool game and good take on the theme!

Developer

Thank you!!!

Hey, I finally got a chance to try out your game and I loved it! The artwork is fantastic and I loved the different levels! One slight hiccup on my end was I had to figure out how the inhaling mechanic worked. I should have read the itch page more carefully, but I think the first room could have a passive enemy with some text on how to inhale enemies. Otherwise, this was a fantastic submission and can easily be developed further. Amazing!

My friend, the first room literally explains how to use the weapon hahahaha.

Thanks for playing it! I'm happy you loved it :D

enjoyed the aesthetic of it, the level art took me back to fun memories of clearing team rocket labs. the size of the game was very impressive. i enjoyed the feeling of being in a big labyrinth, but i could see it being a drawback too. what was fun and exciting and really hooked me in the beginning, became a bit samey by the middle of level 3. was nice to see a boss fight after it. thematically i like the inverter mechanic, but i agree with another commenter that it heavily incentivized me to just suck up all the enemies. a feature that forces the player to choose wisely between shooting and inhaling could be nice

Very cool game! I like how smooth the controls feel.

Very fun game, loved the mechanic of the inverter gun, also a plus for the voice acting which is a rare thing in a jam game. Graphics is nice, all is well put together, it was a breeze to go through the levels. Nicely done.

Well done this game is fun, didn't expect voice acting either. I'm a big fan of both Kirby and Doom

Nice game with such a big map. appreciate it!

Good Game!

Very fun game! Great voice acting. The art, audio, and gameplay are all very polished. Excellent submission!

Very well done. Aside from the boss fight and getting hearts if you've happened to take damage, though, I wish there were more of a reason to use the projectile weapon as it always seemed easier to just suck them up and waste all your ammo. The art was great, music was great, fit with the theme very well, and having a boss fight is always just awesome! Great job!

A very well made game. I love the art, idea, voicelines, honestly just a solid good game. Had lots of fun, just wish there were more interaction with the enviroment (like explosive barrels, buttons to press etc.). 10/10

I like the idea, but I feel it needed more enemies that I can't just go and inhale, makes it kind of pointless to have ammo since I can just suck enemies and instantly kill them. The boss was fun tough, having to dodge enemies, inhale them and shot the boss was engaging.  The rest was excellent, the game is polished, and the 2D art + sound is great. Good work!

Really a very good and polished game. Good job!

Nice game. Love the music and graphics. Good job!

It's a nice game, but isn't inhaling the enemies stronger than shooting them out? I found myself emptying my ammo to be able to one shot the enemies with the inhaling because it seemed more efficient.

Other than that, it's a nice game you've got here, not really lacking anywhere in particular. Art is good, sound is coherent, etc.

Developer

Yeah I guess that's OP until you get to the final boss.

How did you do all this in 2 weeks!? my main problems with this game, the levels are SOOO Big and content heavy, that every time i die i have to backtrack all the way back without dying again. i assume that this is to compensate for the fact that absorbing an enemy kind of is like instantly destroying them, (and by having hearts drop from killed enemies, you use the previous thing) that is not a bad thing neccesarily, but you could have had less annoying solutions to that problem another problem i had with this is that the music was too repetative (every room had the same track), but i’m not blaming you, this game already has a lot of content

overall, this game is good, but too big for a game jam game 8.5/10

There's a good amount of content here, and the graphics are very nice. The general movement feels pretty sluggish and makes backtracking after a death pretty tedious.  Overall I did enjoy the game.

Good Submission, tbh. the shooting traps are the real enemy here... nasty things always robbing my hp xD

If you told me this was released at 90's I would believed you, it's oozing with personality. good job on this one!
