I was working on this for a year, while also working on other projects. There are more levels I'd like to add and some extra artwork, but the basic gameplay is finally finished.

Cute game, good platforming mechanics, very relaxing. Would love to see this game expanded in the future.

Also the smol details like the trailing effects on the cat and the lighting added alot to the charm of the overall experience.

Cute Little Platformer,

i would love to Jump of the Ladder! It feels a bit annoying that you cant.

The Touch in Level 4 with the Light is really nice. Maybe can be a little Darker to give it more a Challenge.

The Overworld is cool in my Point of View, with more Levels and maybe alternative paths or Secrets this would be Awesome.

Good Job

A very cute game, but I think that hides the fact that it's actually very well made. The platforming feels pretty fine tuned. The art, music, and mechanics come together to deliver a pretty nice experience. My only critiques are that I don't think there's a need for a lives system for what is kind a relaxing experience., and that the overworld can be more straightforward, no need to walk to the next level.

Thanks for the nice comment!

I can agree with your points about the lives and the overworld, but if the game was expanded they'd make more sense, which I originally planned for. I may consider collaborating with someone for level design in the future if I continue it.

I should have known since mice harm you, fish would do the same :-)

This is a really fun game! I don't usually enjoy platformers too much due to how challenging they are, but your game did things to make the gameplay easier, the edges were more forgiving and the it doesn't take too long to make it to the castle level. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the comment! You don't think the edges are too forgiving? Sometimes the feet seem like they hang over them a little.

No what I meant was I like how the feet hang over the edges :)

The art is adorable and everything looks really polished! The sound effects and music were super nice. I'd be interested to see what the coins could be used for when you add more to the game in the future. Really great game!!

Thanks for the comment

There is something that tracks the score, but it wasn't shown in any UI. Hopefully I can find a good use for the score/coins.

Nice art and music. Feels very polished.

The levels are too basic right now and I hope you would add some more challenge or puzzles in future levels. Also, I thought the torches in the last level were checkpoints but they're just there and the game just restarted when I died.

Good work overall! Good luck! :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I agree the levels are quite basic. I could implement checkpoints and have the torches light up, but it would only be necessary with longer levels.

I started working on another project a while back so spend less time on more level design for this platformer.

Very cute! I loved the music, and the overall vibe was nice - so many platformers are hardcore and precision-based, it was nice to play one that's forgiving and soothing. It would be interesting to have some extra inertia on the cat's movement, and I also had a few camera issues in the browser version (in level 4, I got all the way to the top but couldn't see below, and fell to my death...)

I look forward to seeing more!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback.

I fixed the camera issue and the movement has a little inertia as it did in an earlier stage of development. I think I could tweak the movement a little more though, it can be a tough thing to perfect.

Submitted

Definitely! It was one of the last things I finalised in my game – I was tweaking settings until the last minute!

Cute graphics. Platforming is altogether pretty good. Not everyday you see a cat get hurt by fish and mice.

When playing in browser the camera was a bit off and it was hard to see platforms below me.

Lightning effects and teleporter effects were really good.

Developer

I think I noticed an issue where the camera was off on the last level, I'll try to fix it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Cute and challenging game

Very cute art - I really liked the lighting effects in Level 4 - and the music fits well too. The platforming feels pretty good, although maybe movement is a little slow. I did like that collision is a little forgiving when landing on the edge of a platform.

I liked that about the platform edges, too. I'm not much of a platformer person, it's nice (for me) to see one that isn't designed to stress you out haha. It was actually pretty relaxing.

Very cute and nicely challenging!
