Cool game! I assembled everyone but couldn't get them to follow one another which did make moving on after meeting up a pain. Fun music and nice 3-D art!
Thank you for playing and trying it out! They are suppose to assemble when all 4 have reached one of three halfway points (if that makes sense.) I wonder if all 4 characters got there. Helpful to recognize that might be a problem to direct play.
This is a solid idea! I just wish I could move faster. Well done submission for the gamejam!
Awesome music, would be cool to be able to see what key is what character, I kept cycling through them until i found the one i wanted xD
Thanks for playing! And a helpful suggestion!
Merry Christmas to all GameOff 2022 competitors! Here's mine gameplay of Band Ade
really cool game
That's great! Thanks for playing again and posting it up!
Really cool game. I liked the idea of having multiple characters with specific powers, split apart but needing each others to be able to move on. Just like a band what is a guitar without a drum kit and a good bass to back it up? ;) Also the music was good, did you write and play it yourself?
The gameplay was fun, the dialogues well written, I liked the simple visuals. Really cool :)
Thanks so much for playing. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great music, clever theme interpretation and pretty nice gameplay. Overall a solid game! The start menu is really smooth, good UX and the animations were a nice touch. In the starting sequence, it would have been nice if the game had told me how to move forward in the conversation (Enter) although it can be found out pretty quickly by just testing all the reasonable keys.
For the actual game. I think in the first part some indicator of where the all the characters are would have been nice, maybe arrows pointing in their directions or even a minimap.
And finally the movement, in my opinion the movement of the characters felt a bit irresponsible. The way it is currently implemented (I think) is so that you have to hold the movement key for it to move to that direction a bit later. I think it should be so that the moment you press a movement key, the character would start to move.
But yeah, as stated before an overall good experience, nice job!
I appreciate the feedback. Certainly thinking about reworking the game and building off of it. It's helpful to get that kind of feedback about the movement.
I played the Windows version! It is fun to play. I don't want to be trivial by saying "it is fun to play", but it is! I enjoyed playing it! This is a suggestion and not a critique, i think a minimap may improve the gameplay
Hallo,
Thank you for sharing your game. I’ve already saved its RATING;
1. verified: GAME due to observed you also verified our team’s game
2. observed: noticeable hand-drawn cartoon characters of band members; adds: 3D object version of band members to also exist
3. observed: noticeable musical tune with sound effects for the elemental powers; notes: in particular, introduction background music
4. adds: STORY via character dialogues to also exist
5. verified: GAMEPLAY to be of using the correct elemental power of each band member to remove hindrances to the path towards the TARGET location, i.e. the coffee shop
6. notes: movement of positions to be based on TILES to cause noticeable skipping when moving from TILE to TILE due to length of each TILE; observed: however, queue technique when all the band members are together; remembers: Dragon Quest VI (Super Family Computer) and own attempt to execute such OUTPUT; keyphrase: learnable
7. finished: GAME to cause band members to play together and save the coffee shop
Thank you. Health!

gratitude: THANK you!
Thank you! Such a compliment. Really appreciate it!
Nice game. The movement are a bit rigid but the overall impression is good
Thanks for playing and the feedback!
The character models are fabulous...
The puzzles are very interestingly designed, with clever uses of each character's abilities. All of this with some good music on top, fun game!
Thanks for the compliment.
Really liked the game! I like the versatility of the characters. At first I wasn't using Ariana because I didn't know what to use wind for. I thought, "This useless windbag." But then I realized instead of filling in the river with dirt, like I had been doing, I could blow a branch and make a bridge. Two moves in one! And here I was sleeping on her.
And great music. I like all the songs, but especially the menu one. It is for sure it's own thing, but it reminded me of Outer Wilds in a way, which made me happy. :)
Great job!
I really enjoyed your game. The puzzles were a really interesting concept. The game had a certain charm to it, and the music was really nice. I was heavily invested in the story as well! Great job!
Thank you for playing the game!
For some reason the games style is actually very nice. It has a certain charm, i enjoyed playing it, music was great! I didnt find much use for river but the other 3 worked well nicely!
Thanks for playing it! I'll take "charm" -- I appreciate it!
looks unusual, but it's fun to play!
Yeah when Unity writes it to WebGL the lighting gets a little glitchy... I mean, and my 3d modeling is an ever evolving skill.
Thanks!
No wonder the businesses are having trouble you need 4 elemental powers to even get there, in the middle of a forest.
The sequel will focus on rebuilding American infrastructure.
Cool puzzle concept
Glad you enjoyed!
It's a very unique concept for a game!
The controls were definitely sluggish... I understand it's tile-based, but it is still slow, and the fact that I can't rapidly press the movement button to move faster is weird.
Also, I don't think I ever found a use for the water person? Any time I needed to put out fires, I could just use the wind person... and the ability to walk on water didn't really help the team as a whole in any puzzles? If you're going to give the wind person & water person the same powers, maybe have more burning trees that the wind person can't get to so you're forced to use the water powers.
The music during the game was quite good, really helped the game feel alive. The music at the end was... pretty good? There was this weird high-pitched dissonant part that I couldn't tell if it was either a guitar or singing...
I honestly like the graphics, sort of early Sega Saturn, Virtua Fighter style stuff. I wish you'd gone a bit farther with the aesthetic - for instance, use pre-rendered low-poly CG for the character portraits when they're talking.
Is the phrase "Band-aid" considered a cliche? I suppose the idea of getting the band back together to save a local store is a common trope, as are elemental powers in general. Regardless, I think this was a great game!
Thanks for the thoughtful playthrough. Helpful to work with. Band aid is cliché in the genericide sense. But definitely going for the bringing the band together for one last show, the save the little guy with a last minute fundraiser, and 4 elements cliches.
