The controls of this game could have been more refined. Beyond that, I think it is a good start. I hope you will continue to improve it! :)

Nice work, reminded me of hollow knight, but the backgrounds remind me of Terraria. Control scheme could be improved, but well done!

Nice job, just one thing I didn't quite get is the controls. Do I have to move with Arrow keys, use N and B and use the mouse? I feel like I am missing something.. or an extra hand :D

good game but it is a cope

Demake of Hollow Knight, quite interesting. Idk when is metroidvania month but this game could be good for that jam. Once you have experience building this game, i imagine you can create a much better game next time! Honestly keep up the good work! Also, as others have said, you can focus fewer elements so that the game is more polished, quality over quatity as people say, or you can focus on one element each jam, accumulate your experience, and create one great metroidvania with all the skills you've gained, just like a real-life metroidvania!

I really enjoyed the pixel art. Wish I could have pet the larva puppies. They're so cute!
