I really liked the idea of combining 2D and 3D together. Great work.

Very cool! I liked the clever and occasionally fourth-wall-breaking dialogue and it was challenging to find the marbles without being too frustrating. Great work!

love the visuals and perspective mechanic! also the writing was really fun to read. I'm not sure if I cheated a little bit by collecting the curious marble 3 times over by running down the stairs though (or maybe I just found a hidden loophole??!). anyways fun game kindman!

it's a bug/feature type of situation ;-)

Wow, such a good game. I came here since you commented on our game and it looks like we both did shaders of some sort lol. I love how you made the projection 2d instead of 3d.

Developer

thanks for stopping by! Yes we definitely have some similar things going on visually.
I do have to point out though, that I found the shader online:
https://github.com/GarrettGunnell/Inktober-Ink-Shader
and turned the knobs until it looked like what i needed it to be (to sell the 2D look even better).

I wish I had the brain capacity to write my own shaders, but that's not gonna happen any time soon ;-)

lol I wrote mine using a combination of a outline shader and a cell shader in Unreal Engine.

Wow. The projection to 2d with the fluid movement is awesome.  Bloody good job!

Awesome game, crazy good but also just crazy visuals lol.  I struggled a bit with planty but managed to finish the game. Really really well done!

Very good game, got all the marbles and inner happiness got me!

Whoa! Trippy! Loved the graphics and game concept. Took me a while to figure out some of those dialogues to get my marble back! I also had a hard time discovering where to find one of those. Great game! Awesome job!

Very cool visual style

Wow! This is EXACTLY what I expect from a game jam game. A nice concept, developed really well! The game is hilarious, the dialogues are entertaining and funny, and when it ends, you want more!

Really well done, loved this game!

M.C. Escher would have loved this art style! Really original idea!

Hehe great idea and nice humor!

It makes me happy to see that Kindman has returned for another Gdtv Jam. I too lost my marbles after deciding to press the game-breaking button, but then I realized that it just meant that I got to refresh hang out with KM for a few more min . Unique and stylish.

Really impressive! I've never seen anything that looks quite like this. When I realised you could move the camera it blew my mind!

Our games are similar, but not.
Hey I found 5/6, that's not a total failure.
I want a talking plant now.

Wow, loved the art style of this game, liked the music, very cool idea!

Such a good art style, funny story and an amazing experience all around. One of the best games i have tried in this jam.  btw at first i didn't realized you could move the camera and just playing it without moving the camera in a 2d orthographic way is also amazing in its own way

Very impressive! Your choice of shader is perfect too. This game's got it all to be honest, I loved the concept, the style, the dialogue. Btw, it also almost works on an Xbox controller (minus the camera movement) but that can be easily added too. Overall, really creative take on the theme!

This probably is my favourite game of this Jam, and i will be complitely honest when i say this is one of the most unique games and idea i have ever seen, the shader is amazing, the narration also, the game is fun and something different from the """common""" stuff.
Really well done you game is amazing!!!

Developer(+1)

wow, thank you so much. I felt quite unsure about the entry this year, as I overreached in scope (quite) a bit, so it makes me very happy to recieve such warm words.

My words are all deserved i'm sending the game to friends to make them checkout, i will repeat myself but i found this to be really unique and i damn like it!
If you got time i would like to know what you think about my game is my first jam and had really low time to work it, is not nearly unique or fun as yours but i plan to update it in the coming days!

Wow~! What a unique style. This has an incredible look to it. Love the dialogue trees too. This has so much character to it and I love the bleak black and white style.
