Very cute game! Though no matter what I wanted to do i was slapped with “not implemented” 😢 Concept has some potential!
We are really sorry for that. But we will definitely continue working on that. After the jam is over we will start over with the concept, keep the core elements, but think about what to do next with it and how to make it exiting on the long run. It will probably take a while until we will "release" the first prototype, but there will be something :)
You should not be sorry! Game jams are all about learning, sharing/getting feedback and having fun :) Can’t wait what you come up with!
there is nothing rn. maybe start with the core next time. but i know... :D so much big scope :D
The core is actually the loop where your character runs around and collects the resources, but there isn't much to interact with due to time reasons (personal life and stuff), so it's not really fun or exiting. But we love the core idea and want to continue working on it. We will build concept for much more gameplay to keep you, the players, exited for long game sessions :)

Great job with the art and aesthetic. Great music, really fits, very boppin'. Watching the cat go round is fun and relaxing. Very cute. I like that you guys got ambitious and the vision here, but looks like a lot of cool features did not make it, but that's jammin'. I enjoyed the vibes.
Yes, unfortunately. We had a lot of ideas and quickly realized that it wasn't possible to implement them all in such a short time. Additionally, it was our first time developing with Godot. But we plan to incorporate all the ideas into the game in the future.

Love the concept behind it, a shame you couldn't implement more but that's game jams for you, life gets in the way sometimes! Love the idea of cats trading supplies with cows though haha, loads of charm and potential in this!

The game has a cute and relaxing vibe, the audio is refreshing, and the gameplay is need to be improved since I don't know what to do next. But that's a promising start for the beginning. Well done.

My wife and I own 5 cats, so of course I had to play this game haha.
It's very cute, and could be interesting with more development.
I will say, the font when the cats are talking to each other is hard to read on its background. Maybe more contrast would help.
Oh that is so cute. We also want to have kittens soon, but our current apartment just doesn't give us the possibilities for them.
Thank you so much for the feedback. We will change the font, color, images etc. in the further development of the game. We will anyway start over, as this was our first game with Godot and I have only experience with Unity. We would now make a lot different, so we take this knowledge now to make the game better and try to finish it.

Yes, there is a lot still missing and we just wanted to get the basic idea in. Also it was our first project in Godot, which gave us the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with this engine. We intend to keep working on that game, but after the jam re-work the whole project as we learned a lot about implementation in Godot. Also then we are allowed to use payed assets, which will help us so much more in creating UI and tiles (as we are both just programmers and not artists).
It is "Last Stand" in the sense of that these are (at least as the kittens in the story know) the last remaining kittens fighting to survive. Most/All humans vanished or at least the kittens cannot find their humans anymore. So they are on their own. They need to keep building up the camp and the protection of the camp by scavenging for resources in the wild and bring back as much as possible.
Thanks so much for explaining more of the story and how it relates to "Last Stand". Really helped me see the overall picture better.
We, too, are new to this and using Godot! Keep working on it. It's a very cute idea and I would love to see it completed :)
