The detailed art is great and I like the screen transition. The game is quite unforgiving though so I didn't get that far. It would've been nice to have checkpoints or only starting over the current screen. Good job!
Great vibes. It genuinely jump-scared me a few times. Spooky sound for sure. Well done.
Art is cool but I don't understand why the cat is killing me. Wandered for a bit and stopped playing. Really liked the vibe tho!
The environment is well done, and the music helps in building it. However, I didn’t quite understand how to advance from this initial area. It wasn’t clear, and I managed to bug the game. I got close to the collider that changes the screen, and when the screen changed, the character was positioned inside the wall, making it impossible to move the character.
i'm sorry that happened, i couldn't get a lot of testing on bugs and edge cases :(
if you want to try again, you have to go to the bottom-right room and take something from there, then go to the top room and talk to an npc there
Very eerie feeling through out the game. I like it!
thanks :3
liked this a lot -- def see yume nikki in this ^^ i also got jumpscared for the first time playing games in this jam so far so good job :D
hehe glad to hear you were legit jumpscared!
I jumped a little that first time! I loved the atmosphere of the whole thing, nice entry!
thanks a lot!
really nailed the creepy/spooky vibe. definitely feels unsettling but also calm at the same time. i loved the sound, the color palette, and the monster designs. totally scared me when the creature attacked me from the bushes lol
thanks for the kind words :3 i'm glad you liked it
This was fun to play, I made it to the end. Like someone else said, it was a nice surprise that some of the monsters are friendly. Really nailed the atmosphere too.
yeah, for me the non-hostile monsters were the best to make
"Cats" jumping from bushes looks ULTRA GOOD.
Really good atmosphere in the game, also the style and dream-based concept make this very solid entry.
i'm sure tom read that, thanks for the compliments!
I really liked the atmosphere and vibe of this game!
thanks :3
Didn't quite understand when some things attacked me, the one coming out from the woods, it felt like sometimes was far away from the woods. Managed to walk a couple of rooms after several tries but couldn't complete it. The mood of the game, with its music, was spooky.
could have used a little more testing for sure
Magnificently Horrific! . I'd be scared to play this as a child.
Excited to show this to my nephew.
ohhhh, that's so nice to hear, hope they like it!
I’ve always loved the idea of tying horror to dreams in a way that’s not just all about nightmares. You captured that quite well! I liked the monsters, they’re pretty eerie and unique from one another and it’s a nice surprised that some of them are just friendly.
Nice entry this, short, simply but to the point!
Rolled credits! :D
thanks for trying the game! i liked the monsters the most too when testing it.
