How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
It utilises 4 color palette, gives retro vibes and it's just very very cool!!! Main character is a CAT MAGICIAN what else do you need!?
Sound is highly inspired by GameBoy years of Pokemon and Zelda!

I found a secret keybind to skip levels. I assume that was for developers lol.
The spritework was very polished, the music competent; the gameplay definitely felt very Binding of Isaac-inspired.
It's got some rough edges here and there, but honestly, so do most game jam games. Well done.
Solid start here. I did run into some collision issues with the doors, but I did like the music choices for the levels and the search for the key. Keep it up and I'm looking forward to more!
Great job on this one!! I thought the character sprites looked fantastic, and the death animations on both the enemies and the player looked particularly polished!
For future reference, I think it would be good to lower the health of the enemies - they felt just a bit too tanky. I think it would also be a good idea to have the doors open a bit quicker once the player has finished killing all the enemies in the room, it feels like it takes a tad too long for the game to register that the player has finished off all the enemies.
Great job on the music, too! I appreciated the change of pace in the music going from the first dungeon to the second dungeon. It felt different, but they both gave off a spooky vibe!
I love the magician Cat! XD
It really brings me nostalgia of childhood gameplay when I searching for the route with struggled enemies. Well done!
That was alright! The art is competent, and the character design is charming. The mechanics are a bit janky, but competent.
In my personal opinion, enemies take one too many hits; it's a little tedious at times.
Good work! Congratulations on the submission!
Very fun and hard game! I have never played Binding of Isaac, but now I think I know what to expect. Good music and tough enemies. I think an animation for the melee would be helpful.
Love the player character, very cute. Enjoyed the variety of enemies, puzzling out how to approach each room was fun. The soundtrack was great, really liked how the different floors have different vibes musically (tho first floor theme was a tad repetitive)
An issue with collision where, when hugging a left-most wall of a room with a closed door, the character would get stuck on the closed door. I think it would be preferable if the door was flush with the wall collision.
Also an issue where when firing downwards and hugging the topmost wall the projectile would instantly collide with the wall. Edit: Actually just seems to be any time you fire the magic in tight spaces, it just hits the wall and you can't kill enemies - a bit frustrating that.
Overall, great time! Was quite fun and I think it fits the jam very well
Thank you for your reply! I'm aware of both these bugs and will fix them when the jam ends :)
Regarding the first floor theme, I'll pass your feedback on to our sound designer!
Got some Isaac with a cute cat vibes here, lovely character design!
Very solid entry, nice presentation too. Congrats!
Thank you!
Your template was a huge help for this project We will definitely mention this in the credits when we implement them :)
Thanks!! Would you let me feature your game in the template page, whenever I update it?
Sure!
Super fun, and it really felt like a GameBoy game. Killer music. I might have missed it, but, I could not connect it with the secondary theme.
The art is so pretty! Combined with the gameplay, it takes me back and feels like a GameBoy game.
I enjoyed playing this. Good work!
This reminds me of Super Meat Boy. Well done! Had fun!
This game gives off strong Gameboy vibes. The sprites are well-detailed, and the music and sound effects fit perfectly. I also love the status bar at the bottom—it really screams Gameboy. One thing I liked less was the anti-aliasing on the text next to objects, as it made it a bit hard to read. Overall, a nice game!
