Wow, the fog made it quite a lot harder. Very cool game.

While the gameplay is simple, it cannot be understated how beautiful the artwork is, and how great the reflections are, amazing.

so well thought out in level design details! the reflection helping when it gets foggy, the simple jump and dive controls, the sfx and art.. very clean game

Submitted(+1)

Amazing usage of the world blending in with the mechanics, the hearts appearing after the first hit, the SFX and VFX, the fog slowly leading you to use the reflection  more and more... genius! Really enjoyed this experience! Can't wait to see more!

This is just stunning, the art is beautiful, and it's a very relaxing game to play! :)

This looks spectacular, it's awesome that the character is literally running on water and I imagine the roll would be great for smashing something

Developer(+1)

ooh that is a great suggestion, thanks! :)

Gorgeous art and effects! Very calming SFX and music, and the reflection mechanic with the clouds added a nice challenge! Great work!

Amazing, the art style and lake reflections work very well together. The tutorial was clear and the gameplay was pretty unique. Sometimes it was confusing where to roll to though. Great job

Developer

Thanks for your kind words and feedback! I realized after implementing the roll that I didn't really want to use it yet, but I see now that I should have removed it to avoid confusion hahaha

Haha it's fine, overall it was a nice addition! My game does not have any ratings yet so I would appreciate if you could play it. Thanks.

Developer

ooh I'm on my way

Awesome!

this game is truly amazing and unique, the art style is really great and gives an unique mood to the overall game,  really like the idea of the fog, and having to use the salt mirror to see, its truly somthing i have never seen before, controls also feel great. The tutorial is simplistic but really clear, but an indication as to when and how to roll down would also have been good

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I realized after implementing the roll that I didn't really want to use it yet, but I kept it in as a fun bonus toy to play with haha

Gorgeous. The parallax layers and reflection off the salt flats look amazing. Really evocative night time palette as well with the purples. I always appreciate when people add that extra level of polish and juice to jam games like the audio queues for the title card and the particles. Nice Work.

I accidentally spoiled myself by reading a comment before I played so I was ready when the clouds came up, but even being ready for it I found it quite tough, definitely an interesting mechanic!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words, I am glad you enjoyed the game!

I love the pixel art mixed with the effects. I really like how the water is not just something beautiful, but also comes into play later on in the level. Nice job.

Great work, i noticed that clouds making spikes fully invisible, maybe players shoud have at least some vision of them? waiting for updates

Developer

That is intentional! Think about how the location, is there still a way to see the spikes?

Submitted(+1)

Really cool game! The aesthetic and atmosphere is so pretty! I found jumping to be a bit annoying either due to the game running slowly or the way the mechanics felt. The music is very calming and fits the artistic style you are going for! Great job!

Submitted(+1)

Very visually beautiful and I like how the reflection isn't just there for aesthetics, but also serves a purpose of showing you what's coming up when there's smoke in the way. I love the little character's animation too.

Cool stuff.

I rolled a bit too much that the world flipped =D

Neat visuals nonetheless. One of the top for sure. Well done

Developer(+1)

oop I should probably fix that improve that feature

Submitted(+2)

yeah honestly even tho thats a bug, it goes well with the mirror aestetic of the game and you coud play on that

OOOHHH BOI IDK WHAT TO SAY FOR THIS!

This game is absolutely AMA-AZING! The art, sound effects, and music are all on point. The sounds in particular make me feel 😩👌.

It's a perfect game, with an epic intro, and epic everything.

The only thing you could improve is to say some narrative when the clouds are coming. And maybe you could use spiky rocks instead of those shuriken thingies. THOUGH, it's still the best game I have seen in this jam!

Keep up the amazing work! 🏄‍♂️👍👍👍

Developer

Thanks for the high praise and the feedback! I agree and will keep them in mind for the next round <3

Really dope game and I love the dust that appears after running for some time. The assets you chose fit perfectly together. Also that water shader doe!

Submitted(+1)

This is such a beautifully simple game. It feels almost Zen just jumping through the level. plus that water effect looks absolutely stunning

Submitted(+1)

For as simple as it is, this is beautifully executed.  Love the fog that comes in the farther you get to make it more challenging.  Gonna have to study the background layering and that water shader once the jam is over.  Great job!
