I liked this game a lot. Good use of two mechanics. It was also that rare game for me that wasn't too hard. It started nice and easy as we learned how the game work. I hope you get to continue this game and add levels and maybe even a little more graphical flare (even if you stay with squares).
Great job! The music actually had me picturing some kind of rhythm version of this game where the movement is automatic and you have to press different buttons to attack or interact at different times, but that's beside the point haha. Good job! I would recommend making spacebar unspammable because saying "please don't spam" activates some feral part of gamers that simply must ignore instructions to see what happens.
Of course I spammed the spacebar when you asked me not to.... Good start to a game.

I appreciate different levels with different graphics, gameplay wise could be further developed by adding more doors and other features. I can imagine these squares as actual characters, like when you press ATTACK the player character could just aimlessly slash around for 3 seconds.
Yeah, I wanted to add more stuff, and I did but a lot of problems started to arise so I decided to just keep it simple, and I was also rushed on time because I could only work on the game for 7 days as I had other things to do at the time. Thank you for the review Minjutin and it's in the plans for me to continue with the project.
This was a fun, chill game :) I like how easy it was to understand. The combat mechanic is unorthodox but pretty fun once you get used to it! Nice job, I hope you go to round 2 and develop it further!
